Howdy!

Hello!

How are you doing so far on this weekend? We are doing pretty good so far. Elise just left to do some grocery shopping. I got a text from Sheila saying that she will see us later this evening.

I just completed three of my continuing education classes and I have one more to complete. I had to stop and take a break from it. I am starving I do know think my oak and chocolate bar is doing the trick. I am trying to hold out until we go to the "Outback" with Sheila this evening.  I am not sure if I am going to make it, smile!

Well, here is a bit more about our trip to Washington. Enjoy!

23 May

We didn't get up until 9:30am. Wow! After we got up and got dressed, Ed took us to the Blackberry Grill where Elise enjoyed a blackberry pancake and eggs. The blackberries were fresh. I had the chicken fried steak and Eddie had pancakes and eggs as well. It was very good!

After breakfast Eddie drove us up to "Hurricane Ridge, which is up high in a national park area. There was a lot of snow there and on the peaks. It was very windy and beautiful. We returned back to Eddies home and Eddie is resting up before he has to go to coach track at the high school.

UP ON "HURRICANE RIDGE!

ELISE AND EDDIE HEADING FOR THE CABIN

HERITAGE CENTER IN DOWNTOWN PORT ANGELES

It is about 10:15am and while Eddie is resting we took off to one of the casino's in"Sequim" pronounced "squim" to if we could find Native American t-shirts there. Well, they didn't have any. So while we were there we decided to play a few slots. On a $40.00 put in we won $273.00 and we took it and ran. WooHoo!

Eddie called while we were at the casino and we told him that we would meet up with him at "Coyote BBQ". We enjoyed ribs, brisket and beans . It was all good. After that Eddie took us to "Crescent Lake". It is a glacial lake . It is beautiful here at the lake. You can even rent cabins here on the lake and Elise and I are talking about doing that one day in the future.

CRESCENT LAKE

We left the lake and we returned to Eddie's home for a short break and rest. Later in the evening we drove to a bar in Port Angeles to listen to live music and we enjoyed a few cocktails while we were there. The band was excellent and very, very good. Eddie knows most of the band members. Eddie introduced us to the band members. I nice evening indeed. We were at the bar for 3 hours. Yeah!

THE BAND!

We returned to Eddie' home and we rested and chatted a bit before we called it a night. Another good day in Washington. Hopefully I can get the video of the band posted later today before Sheila arrives.
