TGIF!

Good Morning!

Mood: Chillin' Rummied!

Music listening to: I Would Die For You by Prince

It's a TGIF! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:30am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning and she had a bout of coughing during the night. She will be up and moving about soon. Any plans for today.

The coffee is freshly brewed and I will put together a small salad to go along with my chocolate smoothie. It is rather warm this morning and we may get some rain of the next few days.

Elise and I had a good time at "Casino Del Sol" yesterday. We were there for a few hours and we gave up around $150.00 dollars. We like our DDC much better and there is never a line for the buffet like it was last night. We had a good time though.

We are going to meet up with Jane and Papa John this evening at a place called "5 Palms" up in the foothills resort area. Bobby will be joining us as well. It should be a nice evening. It has been awhile since we have been out with Jane and Papa John.

Marv will be here this evening to care for Chris. The latest we got from JT is that he is doing very well. Elise and I will visit him in Chandler very soon.

Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a great TGIF!  Oh Yeah, I will be modeling my Drill Sergeant hat very soon. I am waiting on the pin.It should be delivered today.
Move it, maggots!
Later....Jessie and Elise

Thirsty Thursday!

Good Morning!

Mood: Disgusted! DI Hat Still On!

Music listening to: Push It by Salt & Pepper

It's a Thirsty Thursday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but she will be putting feet to the floor soon. She slept through the night without coughing. She is getting back to her norm. Any plans for today?

The coffee is great this morning and a chocolate smoothie is in order for later this morning. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris. Rosemary will be here this afternoon.

Chris and Elise will be receiving a massage from Donna at around 10:00am. Chris has a low-grade fever this morning. I will keep an eye on it and give him meds as needed.

Well, our "Wildcats'" gave us a scare last night. They played Stanford and it was a very good game. It was one of those down to the wire close games that kept you on the edge of your seat and glued to the TV. The Cats won and now we are 21-0. Go Cats.

Elise and I are going to the movies this afternoon to see "Ride Along". After the movie we are going to venture out to "Casino Del Sol" to try our luck there for a change of pace. So wish us luck! Can you say "Jack"? We will for sure, smile!

Well, I had better get to it. Have a great day and be careful out there.
Later....Jessie and Elise

Tiger,Marcie, Jet have  good one.

Loraine, stay safe.

Jane and John, be careful.

Flo and John, have a nice day.

Shoo and Stu, enjoy the day.

Good Morning!

Mood: DI Hat Still On! Move It!

Music listening to: My Love Is Real by Paula Abdul

It's a Hump Day! Sup? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning so she will be up and about this morning. Any plans for today?

The coffee is freshly brewed and a small salad will be made along with a orange smoothie. As a matter of fact a orange smash smoothie today. I tossed and turned most of the night for some reason. I hope that I don't repeat that again tonight. Smile!

Bobby will be here this afternoon to care for Chris. Elise and I have a list of errands to run this afternoon, to include taking Chris's van to have a chip in the windshield repaired. A car kicked up a rock and it hit the windshield on Monday on our way to Chris's doctors appointment.

Elise and I are going to hit the Casino Del Sol tomorrow for a change to see what is new there. It should be fun at least we hope so. We will head that way after we see a movie.

Good Night!

Good Night!

How has your day been? It has been pretty quiet here in Central Tucson.

Elise prepared breakfast for dinner. We had bacon extra crispy, eggs, and hash browns. We got it down with plenty of hot coffee.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is in her office on her desktop. We just booked a trip to Jamaica for the first week in May. We have been talking about this trip for quite some time and now we are booked. Yeah Mon!

We watched an episode of "West Wing" with Chris after we watched "Family Feud". Well, I had better get back to Chris and set up his meds.

Have a great evening!
Bye.....Jessie and Elise

Tiger,Marcie, Jet have a good evening. Prayers are being said for Angel.

Loraine, I am still wearing my drill sergeants hat. I will be for awhile because this has cut me to the bone.

Jane and John, sleep well.

Shoo and Stu, be good.

Flo and John, stay well.

Hello!e

Hello!

How are you doing? it is going here. Chris is listening to his radio in-between coughs, he has a low-grade fever but other than that he is doing OK.

I shadowed Angelica today while she worked with Chris this morning. I watched her and I wrote down a few things that I noticed that could be done different that would save time and make Chris feel more at ease. I know that is rough being evaluated while you do your job. She has been with Chris for many years and I don't want any of his caregivers to get complacent.

At the end of her shift I told her to think about her performance with Chris today and we will discuss it on Thursday when she returns. This technique will also bring out things that I didn't catch but she thought she should address.

Well, I had better get back to Chris and load him up with fluids.
Ciao.............Jessie

Tricky Tuesday!

Good Morning!

Mood: Energetic!

Music listening to: Opposites Attract by Paula Abdul

It's a Tricky Tuesday! Get up! Move it,move it. I started the day off at 4:30am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave but she will be up very soon. She still has her cough but she is getting better. Any plans for today?

The coffee is brewing and I will hook up a small salad for later. I will be charting Chris while he is not feeling well. I will also be taking his vitals as well for the next few days.

Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris. I am sure that Elise will be going to play bridge this morning, so I will not see much of her today.

Well, I had better get busy. Have a good day.
Get up........Jessie and Elise

Tiger,Marcie, Jet have a good day.

Loraine, stay safe.

Jane and John, be careful.

Shoo and Stu, have a great day.

Flo and John, take care.

Mary and Bob, have a good one.

Good Night!

Good Night!

Hey, how has your day been? I have had my drill sergeants hat on all day and I will be wearing it for awhile. Chris got his Cranio treatment today and the therapist said that he did very well and he responded much better than his last session.

Elise and I  took Chris to his doctors appointment this afternoon. Chris doing pretty good but he has gotten a chest and head cold that is making him miserable. We checked his mouth and throat and he has some white patches. That indicates an infection, so we had the doctor to write a script for and anti-bi that he will he taking for ten days at three times a day. I will continue to monitor his temperature and I will be listening to his lungs.

Elise is on her way to the first practice of the Tucson Women's Chorus. She will not be singing today but she will be handling the registrations. I am caring for Chris this evening.

I had a very nice talk earlier in the day with my brother Herman. We talked about the problems of JT and he understands my anger. I mentioned to him that I was wearing my drill sergeants hat today. He loved it and he laughed and he requested a photo of me with it on. In a few days I will send him one. If you would like to see me as well, just let me know and I will shoot one to you as well. I am the cat with its tail caught in the mousetrap so you don't want to get on my bad side. It will not be pretty!

JT was up earlier resting and laughing I will check on him again in about an hour. We hope that your day was a good one and we hope that tomorrow will be much better.
Move It!.......Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, Jet sleep well.

Loraine, have a good night.

Jane and John, stay well.

Shoo and Stu, enjoy the night.

Flo and John, thank you.

Ross and Denise, always good to hear from you.

It's A Monday!

Good Morning!

Mood: Re-birth!

Music listening to: Never As Good As The First Time by Sade'

It's a Monday! I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning, but she will be up soon. She is slowly getting better and Chris has developed a cold but I am on it constantly. Any plans for today?

The coffee is hot and fresh and I will prepare a small salad and a smoothie as well. Chris will be receiving a Cranio treatment this morning at 11:00am and he also has a follow-up appointment this evening at 3:30pm. So it will be a busy day for us.

The latest I got JT is that he is doing very well and he was up eating pizza and watching a Batman movie. Again I would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and well wishes for him. We appreciate it and you very much.

In light of recent events I have decided to have a (re-birth) if you will? We have a sweatshirt with a cat on it with it's tail caught in a mousetrap. The cat says "No more Mr. Nice Guy" and he has a sledge hammer in his hand. So I have decided that the nice guy gets the raw deal way too often. So I am making a change to be that cat.

Well, our Wildcats are 20 and 0. Go Cats! Have a great day and enjoy the day.
Later.......Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie,Jet have a good day.

Loraine, stay safe.

Jane and John, be careful.

Shoo and Stu, have a good one.

Mary and Bob, stay warm.

Ross and Denise, enjoy the day.

Mood: Pissed! (Family issue) Unbelievable!

Music listening to: Fantastic Voyage

It's a Sunday! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is starting to get better finally. I miss her being her usual self very much. Any plans today?

The coffee is good, fresh and hot. Elise and I will be meeting our daughter Kim for breakfast this morning at the "Egg Connection" we will catch up on what has been going on in her life.

I will be caring for Chris today just to be on the safe side. Chris is starting to sneeze and have it looks like he has a head cold with a little chest congestion. I will keep an eye on this. I will be listening to his lungs for the congestion throughout the day.

I will be contacting JT today to see how he is doing. I am pissed beyond belief like I posted in the heading of this post.

My (ex) JT's mom is being a (dick). Excuse me but I am really angry. I asked her if she would assist with JT's care and I asked when is she going up to see JT. Her response was that she was not taking anytime off of her job and that I could handle all of this. Unbelievable right? This is coming from his mom.

Well, enough of that. I will post about what we did on our short stay-cation as soon as I can and as soon as I calm down. Have a great Sunday!

I want to thank everyone for the blessings and good wishes for Elise and JT to get better soon.

Later.........Jessie and Elise

Good Morning!

Mood: Hangin' N

Music listening to: The World Is a Ghetto by War (classic R&B)

It's a Tricky Tuesday. How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning and she is sound asleep. She slept through the night without a coughing episode. I hope that she is starting to mend. Any plans for today?

The coffee is freshly brewed and it is delicious. I will prepare a small salad today and I will put together a smoothie using orange sherbet from a recipe that I have been dying to try from the "Smoothie Bible" that was  a gift to me from Bobby. Thanks again Bobby!

I had a very nice conversation with my niece Talia who lives in St. Louis. It was very good to talk to her because it has been awhile since we saw her. As a matter of fact the conversation lifted my spirits quite a bit. I am going to continue to chat with her more often.

Good Night!

Good Night!

How was your day? I am really stressed out today. I have Elise's illness, JT's illness and problems, and some other family members who just don't care about anything it seems.

I am getting mixed info about JT, Elise went to the doctor and she is now on anti-bi's. She was told that this flu like strain is a bad one and it is nasty and it likes to linger. I am sure that this stay-cation is going to be one that demands rest and plenty of it.

My appetite is not the best but that is due to the stress. We hope that your day has been better than mine. Well, I tried to take are of my errands this morning and I only got two of them done. I will try to get the others done tomorrow.

Well, I had better get back to Chris. Have a peaceful night.
Ciao....Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, Jet sleep well.

Loraine, be well.

Herman, I texted Talia and I still have not gotten a response as of yet.

Jane and John, stay safe.

Flo and John, enjoy the evening.

Music listening to: I'm Easy by Lionel Richie

It's a Monday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning and she is finally sleeping soundly. She has bouts of coughing throughout the night. This cold is just not leaving her. Any plans for today?

No coffee this morning due I have some lab work that will be done at 8:00am. You can bet that once that is over I will be searching for a cup or three, smile!

I also have a couple of errands to run this morning as well. To include getting my ears lowered out on the air base.

We will begin our packing for our short staycation in Mesa today. Elise and I will also be taking a few things to JT that he needs. We both are looking forward to this staycation because we both need it. The past week has been a stressful one for us.

We had a wonderful evening at "Zeman" with Shoo and Stu. The food was very good and the "injera" was nice and spongy. We downed about a bottle and a half of red and that is always a good thing to share with friends. Thank you Shoo and Stu for a great time.

Well I had better get busy with Chris. Have a good Monday.

I am caring for Chris today. Elise has hit the pillow to rest. She is reading a book. I will be caring for Chris until 5:00pm then Rosemary will take over.

Well, I had better get back to Chris.

Sunday!

Good Morning!

Mood: Frustrated!

Music listening to: Giving Him Something He Can Feel by En Vogue

It's a Sunday! How are you? I started the day off several times. Once at 2:30am, 2:45am and 4:50am. This first two was due to the fur-babies barking at something to which I could not see anything. It also woke Elise up as well, but once she reentered her cave it was hibernation time, smile. Elise's cold symptoms are still lingering on. I will continue to keep an eye on her. She may not be able to care for Chris today as to prevent him from catching the bug if it is contagious. Any plans for today?

If Elise feels up to it we will go it we will go out for breakfast at the "Egg Connection". The coffee is good and hot this morning. No smoothie or salad today.

We had a very nice time at the DDC. Our dinner at the buffet was very good, but our favorite slot was not kind. We did break even and it was a lot of fun. Of course we will be going back.

We are going on a staycation that starts on Wednesday. We are going to Mesa, Arizona for a couple of days. We will spend some time with JT to see how is doing since he was sick a few days ago.

We will also visit with Amanda and Lloyd one day and another day we will visit with Sara and Jesse #2. We will be getting in as much rest as we can. We got great rates at a Courtyard Marriott thanks to my brother Herman.

Well I had better get busy and check on Elise to see how she is feeling. Have a great day.

Later.......Jessie and Elise

It's The Weekend!

Good Morning!

Mood: Annoyed!

Music listening to: Bad Girls by Donna Summer

It's the Weekend! Sup? I started the day off at 4:00am caring for Chris. Elise is deep in her cave this morning. She is still not feeling her best. I will check on her shortly. She will not be going to the gym this morning. Any plans for today?

The coffee is doing it's job and that is a good thing. I will put together a small salad for later in the day along with a chocolate smoothie.

I have to run some early morning errands for my son JT due to he is in need of a few things. Elise and I had a nice time at Happy Hour last night before we went to the Live Theater Workshop. We had a couple of margaritas, chips and salsa.

We really enjoyed the play titled "Boeing, Boeing". It is a hilarious comedy about juggling too many girlfriends and the consequences that it may bring. This play was a laugh a minute and side-splitting. I took good notes as to I have been told that this very thing could happen to me one day. Scary stuff, smile! We recommend this one for sure.

After the play Elise and I hit up Applebees for a late light dinner. We enjoyed a glass of Merlot along with our meal. It has been awhile since we have been to Applebees. A well rounded evening!

Rosemary will be here this morning to care for Chris and she will return to work with Chris this evening. Elise and I have been invited to the DDC for a special perk pick up so we will go to pick it up this evening. We will also hit the buffet for dinner, and of course the Jack's will be ordered up several times. Cha Ching! Wish us luck.

Well, I had better get busy. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.
Later.......Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, Jet stay safe.

Jane and John, have a good one.

Loraine, take care of yourself. I am working on a plan of attack for the wheelchair lady.

Shoo and Stu, enjoy the day.

Flo and John, be careful.

Afternoon!

Afternoon!

How is is going? Well, the Marathon Bridge game is in full swing. Elise is not feeling her best today but that is my Elise.

Chris and I just came back from setting up our sales table and chairs. I have to tell you that the pickings are fantastic.

We have a convertible Mercedes, a Audi A4, a Lexus, a Dodge Town and County Van, an Saab wagon, a Expedition, a Honda Accord, and more! Cha Ching a Ling a Ling!

It is a nice day out, nice and sunny. Chris and I are having a good time showing these cars. The crowd is nice and we have gone through a fifth of Jack Daniels already, smile!

Hey, it is a good day. The Mercedes just sold, yes. The owner inside will have to catch to bus home or call a cab. Wait a minute, just sold the Lexus too! Chris and I are on a roll. Lookout Jamaica here we come. Ya Mon'.

This is great! I need to move that Expedition next. Someone is giving it the once over, yes. WTF! It is the wheelchair/scooter lady. What is she doing here. I approach her and she says that she really likes this one a lot. I get this gleam in my eye knowing that this will put me over the top.

She is looking at the interior and smiling. I say to myself I got her. She makes her way over to the table were Chris is. Chris gives her his Gargoyle face. She asked for a short of Jack straight up. So I give her a shot and we talk about the Expedition. She asked for another shot and I said not a problem. She got this grin on her face that I have seen many times before.

She all of sudden starts to laugh out loud for no reason. She stuck her tongue out at Chris and I and she gave us the finger. She gunned her wheelchair and popped a wheelie and sped off onto Pima Street. I stand up and I move Chris so I could bounce after her and then I saw it. She took two fifths of Jack that was on side of the table. They were in the basket of her power wheelchair. That chair must to have been tricked out because she was leaving cars in the dust. She has gotten me again.

Chris and  I pack up and end the sale. Another lesson learned, eh? I downed a shot of Jack a double when we got back inside of Chris's house. Next time, wheelchair lady, next time.

Later..........Jessie and Chris

TGIF!

Good Morning!

Mood: Concerned, disappointed!

Music listening to: Fire and Ice by Rick James and Teena Marie (classic Old School)

TGIF! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:50am caring for Chris. Elise is deep, deep in her cave this morning and it must be a heavy fog in the cave this morning as well. You can hear a fog horn sounding loudly, smile! She will be up as soon as she clears the way. Any plans for today?

The coffee is freshly brewed from ground beans and smelling heavenly. I will put together a small salad and a smoothie for later in the day.

Well our "Wildcats" are 18 and 0. They put a pounding on ASU. It was a good game. Sorry Sheila!
We will be looking forward to the next game. Go Cats!

Elise and I really enjoyed "Osage County" at the El Con Mall. It is a very good movie and the critics did not give it it's due at all. The acting was superb.  A must see movie. ( I am just truth-telling), a line from the movie that I liked. This movie raised up many issues that I have seen within my family growing up and they still linger with me today. Family can be a pain at times without a doubt. Go see it!

Elise is hosting a Marathon Bridge game here this afternoon. I am all set to sell a few cars and Suv's while they are shuffling and bidding. Somebody will be walking home or catching the bus home after the game is over.

I hope that the inventory will be as good as it was two weeks ago. If so after this sale I am going to Jamaica for sure. So stop on by and take a look at my cars and I will offer you a nice Jack and Coke with a test drive, smile! Cheers!

Later in the evening Marv will be here to care for Chris. Elise and I are going to La Parrilla Suiza for Happy Hour. After downing a few cocktails with some salsa and chips we will head for the Live Theater Workshop to see a play.

After the play we will grab a late dinner at Applebees. We have not been there in quite a while. Well, I had better get busy and work on my sales pitch and technique. Have a great day!

Later.......Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, Jet stay safe.

Loraine, you are in my prayers. Feel better soon.

Jane and John, what's up? Don't go there Jane!

Flo and John, enjoy the day.

Shoo and Stu, enjoy yourself.

Monna, have a great weekend.

Herman, how are things?

Rosie in Tucson, did you get some cleaning done last night or did you crash?

Rosie, in Melbourne stay safe.

Oopps!

Hello,

I forgot to mention in this morning's posting that Elise and I had a very nice dinner with my girlfriend (Lila) last night at Middle Molina.

The food was very good and the margaritas were really good. Elise and I only had one apiece, but I was really wishing for a second. Smile!

It was good to see Lila, it has been awhile since we have been out on a date. Bobby told me that I should be careful so that my girlfriends all don't meet up at the same time because it would not be pretty. I agree with that 100%, smile!

I love (Logistics), I am a expert at it and my Stealth training has proven to be remarkable indeed. Of course Elise is my chaperon at all times. What's up with that?
Later...Jessie

The coffee is good and hot. My salad is in the fridge and a strawberry smoothie will be made shortly. I woke up this morning all stuffed up and a little drowsy. What's up with that?

Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris. Rosemary will be here this evening. Chris and Elise will be receiving a massage this morning from Donna.

We will be taking the fur-babies to the vet this morning for their annual check up and shots. Later this afternoon Elise and I will be going to see the movie "Osage County". We have really been looking forward to seeing this one. It got mixed reviews but we will be the judge of that.

Tonight we will be glued to the TV watching our "Wildcats" play our in-state rival ASU. It is going to to be a very good game. Remember the "Wildcats" are 17 and 0, and we are the #1 in the nation. Go Cats! I hope that we have some good snacks for this one. Oops, I meant Jack, smile!

Well, I had better get busy. Have a great day!
Later........Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, Jet have a good one.

Loraine, how are you feeling? I was told that you are a bit under the weather.

Jane and John, stay away from those carrots, smile!

Shoo and Stu, enjoy the day.

Flo and John, have a good one. I have started taking photos and sampling a few cards. I will send you a few soon.

It's A Hump Day!

Good Morning!

Mood: Confident!

Music listening to: What Have You Done For Me Lately by Janet Jackson

It's a Hump Day! What, What? I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave purring away this morning. She will be up and putting feet to the floor soon. Any plans for today?

The coffee has just finished brewing and I will put together a small salad for later in the day. No smoothie today, smile. Bobby will be here this afternoon to care for Chris.

Elise and I are going out to dinner with my girlfriend (Lila) this evening. We are going out for Mexican food (Lila's) favorite. Elise and I will be saying margarita por favor a few times, smile!

That is pretty much it for today, except Chris has someone coming out to look at one of his bed rails that has a problem staying locked in the upright position.

Well, have a great Hump Day. Stay safe, happy, healthy and keep moving forward.
Later....Jessie and Elise

Good Night!

Good Night!

How has your day been? It has been a great day here in Central Tucson. While Angelica was here caring for Chris, I got a good amount of things done.

I also took some time to reflect and I am glad that I did. I sat and I gave thanks for the many blessings that I have received.

I have gone through some great times, good times, bad times and terrible times. Some of those terrible times I am still dealing with but they do not outweigh those great times that I have experienced.

I owe a great amount of thanks to my family and my many friends. My wife Elise is my driving force. Without her I  know that things would not be as good as they are today. I am blessed to have her in my life, because she keeps me focused, grounded and she keeps me moving forward. When I run into an obstacle she tackles it with me without any hesitation no matter what it is. I am a very lucky guy, and I have learned many lessons.

Well, as you can see it has been a very good day for me. Have a great evening and have a better tomorrow.
Ciao.........Jessie and Elise
