Evening

Good Night,

How did your day go? Things went very well here in Tucson today. After Elise returned from running errands with her Mom, we watched the DVD Synecdoche, New York with Phillip Seymour Hoffman. It was a very strange movie but it kept your attention. It even had Chris wondering every now and again about how strange it was, but it was a good movie.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise just left for her book club meeting at an eatery called Feast.I can't wait to see what she brings me back for dinner. Chris has a very good time with his case manager this morning and yes they did arm wrestle. She told Chris a few jokes that he did not find funny at all. He put a frown on his face and I am sure he thought to himself, yes you need to keep your day job.

Well, I had better get back to work with Chris. Have a peaceful evening.

Buona Notte...............................

Good Night Jeanne.

Steph, look after those girls and you get some rest too!

We had a very nice Sunday that started out with a wonderful breakfast with Elise's Mom, and Paula and Marty. Great food!! Later in the day I did some yard work in the front of the house. Later Elise fixed dinner and then we began to watch a DVD. We paused the DVD and we began to play golf and bowling on Wii. After Rosemary arrived to care for Chris we went to the Loft to see a movie called Two Lovers that was really good. We returned home and I checked on Chris and we called it a day.

I have run a few errands this morning and that will be it for today, unless something else pops up, it is Monday. Well, I had better get to it. Have a good day.

We returned home and I checked on Chris and we called it a night. This evening we are going to go out to eat dinner with Elise's Mom after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris. TGIF

Good Morning,

Mood: Tired, sleepy

Music listening to: Breezin by George Benson

All I can say is TGIF. I started the day off at 4:00am, I was awakened by the dogs barking at something so I got up and I didn't see a things so now I am up. Chris is sound asleep and so is Elise. The coffee is not brewing yet and that is adding to my discomfort this morning.

It is around 47 degrees out and it has been very windy all night long. Do you have any plans for today? I have to run a couple of errands this morning so we can be ready to watch the Wildcats play Louisville this evening at 4:00pm. GO CATS's. If they when today they will go to the Elite 8. After Marv arrives to care for Chris we are going to go the ATC to see a play and afterwards we will go to Pastiche for dinner.

We saw the movie Defiance yesterday and it was very good. After the movie we returned home and we played a game of video golf on the Wii. After that we went to Oregano's for pizza, a bottle of red, and of course we both topped that off with a Bellini. We returned home and we attempted to continue to play golf. Wow, Bellini and golf do not mix well, smile. After Brent left I checked on Chris and we called it a night.

Well, I had better get this Friday rolling on the right track and get the coffee brewing. Have a good day and a great weekend.

Ciao......................

How are you doing on this Thursday morning? I started today off at 5:45am caring for Chris. Elise is calling all hogs this morning, maybe because Lampchop decided that she wanted to run around the backyard and play at around 1:30am this morning. So that has caused me to be on my second cup of coffee already.

Elise and I have an errand to run early this morning. This afternoon when Brent arrives to care for Chris we will go to the movies to see Defiance. Later in the evening we will be going to Oregano's for pizza, vino and a couple of Bellini's. Well, I had better get this day started. Have a good day.

We had breakfast for dinner again. We had thick cut bacon, hash brown potatoes, toast, and scrambled eggs. We also had a nice grapefruit and vodka cocktail as well.

We watched the movie Australia on DVD and it was excellent and very educational as well. I am caring for Chris this evening and he is totally relaxed. Well, I had better get him settled and tucked away for the night. Have a pleasant evening all.

I have to run a few errands this morning and I have to get my annual TB test out of the way, a requirement for my employer. Other than that it should be a very nice day. It is cool here in Tucson right now. It is 45 degrees outside and it is supposed to get windy later in the day.

Well, I had better get to it and get this day moving along. Have a good Hump Day all.

Good Evening

Good Night All,

How is everyone? Today has been another good one. After Brent arrived to care for Chris we took him to his chiro appointment. After that Elise and I ran a few errands and then we went to Starbucks for a frappacino that goes well with people watching.

We returned home and I relieved Brent and Elise prepared breakfast for dinner. It was wunderbar. We had pancakes made with orange juice, sausages, and coffee. A very good dinner, eh? We also watched another episode of Rumpole with Chris. I am caring for Chris this evening. Elise just left to play bridge with her Mom.

I think I may fix myself another cup of coffee to get a boost of energy. We hope that your day has been a good one?

Night......................

Good Night Jeanne.

Well, it is Tuesday morning here in the Old Pueblo and it is a sunny but cool morning. I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is up and out at the gym or swimming this morning. The coffee is good and hot this morning and it takes the edge off of the 40 degree temp outside.

Any plans for today? We will be taking Chris to his chiro appointment this afternoon with Brent the caregiver. Afterward Elise and I may go to Starbucks for a frappacino. Well, I had better get to it, have a good day.

Good Evening

Good Night,

Well, it has been a pretty decent day for us. How about yours? It has been very windy today and the temps were only in the 70's. A huge drop from the 90's that we have had for a few days.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise just left to play bridge at her Mom's. Chris is watching TV and relaxing, lucky guy. I had better get back to Chris, boy it is really cooling down here in the Old Pueblo. Have a wonderful evening.

Night................

Good Night Jeanne.

Marcie, good to hear from you today. Sorry about the freezer problem that you had to deal with.

Monna, good to hear from as always.

Joe, you guys have been busy, eh? Hope that you are feeling better? Take it slow.

Steph, glad to hear that the op went well. Aren't some meds a blessing?

Rosie, how are you doing his evening?

Monday Morning

Good Morning,

Mood: Cheerful

Music listening to: Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack

How are you this Monday morning? I started today of at 5:45am caring for Chris and he is chatting up a storm this morning. Elise is still counting Gila monsters but she will be up shortly so she can get ready to assist at the local school this morning. We are feeling great this morning much better than yesterday morning.

We believe that it was something that we eat at the birthday party on Saturday that didn't sit well with us at all. We had to change our plans for breakfast on Sunday due to it and hope that never happens again. I am on my second cup of coffee and it is working well. I have a couple of errands to run this morning but other than that it will be a typical Monday, cautious and on the lookout for problems, smile.

Well. our Wildcats are going to be in the Sweet Sixteen, Go Cat's. The game was a very good one and we hope that they get to go to the Elite 8 and beyond. Yesterday was a very relaxing day for Elise, Chris and I. After watching a couple of basketball games on TV, I lit up the grill and cooked up some Italian sausages the hot ones. Wow, they were good. Elise prepared a sauce and a salad and she cooked up some spaghetti and let me tell you we were making pig noises as we ate. Excellent meal. Of course we had a glass of Flying Fish Merlot as well to accompany it.

After Rosemary arrived to care for Chris we watched a DVD called Elegy with Ben Kingsley and Penelope Cruz. A very good movie ! After the movie we watched a little bit of the Sunday evening programs and then we watched another episode of Rumpole at the Bailey, it is very good. Rosemary ran into a problem with Chris while she was caring for him. A problem that we warn all caregivers to be careful of. Rosemary got a little to close to Chris's mouth while feeding or brushing his teeth and he bite here on her middle finger. This is something that he doesn't do on purpose but one he gets you, you are at his mercy until he decides to let you go like a Gila monster does, and it is very painful let me tell you from experience. Rosemary is fine but it is a lesson learned.

Well, I had better check on Chris and see if Elise is up and about. Have a great day all.

Later...................

Good Morning Jeanne, glad that you got your ribs, sorry that you didn't get to go out for them, but ribs out or at home are good.

Marcie, how was your trip?

Joe, good to hear from you two. You guys have been very busy lately. Hope that the bout of illness at the VA is over with?

Rosie, how are you this Monday morning?

Tiger, any plans for this week?

Steph, glad that the outing wih the girls was a good one.

Sunday Morning

Good Morning,

Mood: Ill

Music listening to: Little Red Corvette by Prince

How are you? I started today off at 5:15am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning. Didn't sleep well last night at all tossed and turned due to having a upset stomach and a pounding headache, and I still do. Elise has an upset stomach as well. It must to have been something that we eat at the birthday party last night that is causing it.

We had a good time at the party and there were quite a few people who attended. We had our vino of course, and we had Red Snapper that was excellent, many different salsas and dips, beans, rice, fries, shrimp cocktail Mexican style. It was a very nice spread. Afterwards we returned home and we watched a Tyler Perry movie on DVD that was very good with Cathy Bates. After Rosemary left for the evening I checked on Chris and we called it a night.

We are going to go out for breakfast with Elise's Mom and Paula and Marty. Our Wildcats play basketball at 11:00am and we hope that they make it to the Sweet Sixteen. GO CAT's. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Later......................

Good Morning Jeanne, did you go out for ribs last night? Where did you go?

Ross, you are on a roll.

Rosie, how are you feeling today?

Morning

Good Morning,

Mood: Chillin'

Music listening to: You Should Be Dancing by the Bee Gees

How is the weekend going for you so far? I started the day off at 5:45am getting Chris settled for the day. Elise is still singing a tune but she will be up shortly to care for Chris. The birds are singing away this morning and the orange blossoms really smell nice in the backyard.

I forgot to mention that we went to see the Wrestler and it was a very good movie. After Marv arrived last night we went to Colors for a couple of drinks before we went to the Live Theatre. We had a couple of Jack and Cokes and we like it at Colors because they do not scrimp on the Jack. We are really happy that our Wildcats won the first round of the basketball tournament and we hope that they surprise all of the nay sayers and win this thing.

We left Colors and we went to the Live Theatre and we were surprised that they had reserved seats for us in our usual spot. We are season ticket holders but the play for this evening was not one that we had picked to see. We decided to go to it because of the great reviews that it got, it is was spot on, fantastic and very funny. We had a very nice time. After that we went to Buddy's Grill for dinner one of our favorite spots to dine. We both had the pork chops and veggies. Elise had a baked potato with hers and I had the Au Gratin potatoes. We shared a bottle of Pinot that was very good and really fruity.

We returned home and I checked on Chris and we called it a night. It has been a very good day. We hope that yours was a good one too? Elise is caring for Chris right now and I am going to run a few errands before Elise departs to play bridge. Later in the evening after Rosemary arrives we are going to a birthday party.

Cheerio..............................

Good Morning Jeanne.

Tiger, how are things going this morning? Any plans for today?

TGIF! Well, it is the first day of spring and the birds are singing the flowers are blooming and Chris is chatting up a storm this morning. I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting horny toads this morning but she will be up and about shortly. I am enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee, the kick that I need to get this Friday started.

We had a very nice time at dinner last night at Casa Molina. The food was excellent and the Margaritas were so good that we had to have two of them. Elise's Mom and crew enjoyed the evening as well. After we dropped Elise's Mom off at home we took Toni home. We stopped in to get a few bags of lemons and grapefruit that she wanted to give to us. Fresh squeezed grapefruit and vodka is a nice refreshing treat let me tell you. We arrived back home and we played a few games on the laptop, and Elise fixed up a batch of Margaritas and the games became a real challenge. Elise fixed one for Brent as well and he enjoyed it very much. After Brent left for the evening I checked on Chris and we called it a night.

I have to run to my office this afternoon to pick up some paperwork. After Marv arrives to care for Chris this evening, we will be going to Colors to have a Jack and Coke before we go to the Live Theatre Company to see a play that is supposed to be really funny. Good Morning

Good Morning,

Mood: Cautious

Music listening to: Do You Remember by Michael Jackson

How you doing on this Sunday morning? I started the day off at 4:00am tossing and turning having a hard time sleeping. Elise is away up in Phoenix with her Mom visiting friends. While there they attended a birthday party for a long time friend of hers. She will be back sometime this afternoon or early evening.

Chris is sound asleep. He has been under the weather with a cold but it is getting better. Do you have any plans for today? We had a very nice time in the Chiricauha Mountains and it was very restful. Here is a bit of what we did while we were there.

On 11 Mar 09 we departed after Brent arrive to care for Chris. We stopped at at Gus Balones to eat breakfast. Elise had a ham steak, eggs, hash browns and coffee. I had pork chops eggs, hash browns and coffee. We love the food at Gus Balones. Afterward we stopped at Davis Monthan Airbase to get gas, ice and a radio. We hope that we can pick up the basketball game between our Wildcats and ASU they will play on 12 Mar 09. Go Cat's!

We arrived at the cabin at around 1:30pm. We listened to a book on tape on the way and that made the time just fly by very fast. It is raining a bit but the sun is out and trying to stay visible. We unloaded the pick-up and we got settled in the cabin. We were hoping to take a walk to the Bathtub but we decided to get a campfire going instead because there was no gas in the tank for the stove. We got a nice fire going and we nibbled on stuffed jalapeno's and crackers. We also had a couple of Jack and cokes as well.

We continued to gather wood for the fire and then we put a grill over the fire pit and we cooked chile con carne with hot dogs. It was great and very good. We cleaned up the fire pit area and then we called it a night and it is only 8:00pm. We woke up at around 8:00am and that is very rare for us to get up so late. No it is time to get another fire going to fix breakfast. We feel like real pioneers. We got the fire going nicely and we prepared scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, orange juice and cowboy coffee. Let me tell you breakfast was excellent. The coffee was fantastic and nice and hot. Elise's Mom would have loved the coffee a lot.

We turned on the radio to see if we could find the station for the game but we had no luck at all. At around noon we went on a hike to the Bathtub. The trail has been washed out in several places, so it was hard to find it, but we finally did. I was full of water and beautiful site to see and the water was really cold. I know first hand because I stepped into it and got my hiking boots and socks soaked. We returned to the cabin and we took a drive so that we could pick up the basketball game and we finally did but we lost to ASU, but it was a good game.

We had a very nice dinner of hot dogs with the works and pork and beans and of course some more Jack and coke. We roasted some marshmellows for dessert and that was a treat. We cleaned up around the fire pit and we relaxed until we called it a night again at 8:00pm. We got up around 8:00am again it must be the mountain air that is doing strange things to us. Elise tossed and turned last night and she didn't sleep well and she had a hard time breathing. It may have been the pine trees or some of he flowers that we bothering her. We also took a short walk the night before and we watched to fire burn down until it got dark.

Again we were up and at it at 8:00am. We got the fire going and we had oatmeal with raisins that was very good.Elise also had bananas in hers. The coffee was so good. I guess it is something about brewing it over an open flame that really brings out the flavor. After breakfast I cleaned up the campsite and Elise was busy cleaning up inside of the cabin. We packed up the pick-up and we locked the cabin up tight and we headed to Douglas to pick-up Theresa to bring her back to Tucson with us. It was a very good trip and we enjoyed it very much.

We dropped Theresa off and we got home at around 3:00pm and we unloaded the pick-up. Later in the evening we went to eat dinner at Pinnacle Peak and we were joined by Elise's sister Ann. The food was excellent. We returned home and after Marv left I checked on Chris and I called it a night. Well, there you have it a wonderful trip but it is always nice to return home. I took a few photos and I made a short movie with Elise at the Bathtub. I will include some of the photos in my next entry. I hope that the movie comes out OK.
