How are you doing this Monday morning? Happy Memorial Day! I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting ships in the night but she will be up and about soon. The coffee is on and I am making my way to it. Any plans for the holiday?

I am still trying to play catch up with everything and it is going at a snail's pace let me tell you. The more I get done two more things pop up that need to be done, it is overwhelming I must say. I will get to my email and letting you know what we have been up to as soon as I can. We took a small break yesterday evening and we took Chris to the Pops concert in the park at Reid Park. We also took along Rosemary his caregiver,it was a nice time and Chris enjoyed to music.

Well, I had better get to it. We will get back to you later.

It has been a very busy day today but we got through it. I got some bad news today that my son JT dog died. Pepper was a Cockier and she was about 14 years old, JT and his Mom are taking the loss really bad. I got Pepper for JT when he was about 8 years old he raised Pepper from a puppy.

The restoration people were here again today to check on the fans and they are doing what they are supposed to be doing drying out the walls. The construction guy was here to get an idea of all that needed to be done and replaced as well. We will be glad when this whole process is over.

Elise and I will be heading out tomorrow morning at 5:30am headed for Las Vegas we will return on Friday evening. We are looking forward to the break. Well I had better make sure that I am all packed and I will take along our camera and laptop with us to keep in touch with whats going on.

Drying Out

How are you this morning? I started the day off at 5:15am caring for Chris. Elise is still drying out but she will be up and at it soon. There are 7 drier fans running in Chris's house and two large dehumidifiers as well. It is a problem a major one because I cannot brew any coffee because it trips the breaker box, and that is not a good way to start the day coffee-less.

I got some coffee to brew over in the main house, what a relief. I have many errands to run today. Elise and I will be leaving early tomorrow morning for Las Vegas for a couple of days to recoup, dry out, drip dry, and rest, at least we hope to. Wish us luck, OK?

Well, I had better get busy and get all of these chores and errands done. We will have our laptop and camera with us to stay in the know. Have a great day.

How are you this fine day? I started the day off taking a swim in Chris's due to it had flooded overnight. We called the plumber and just as he was about to get his Jack hammer ready I looked under Chris's sink in the kitchen and I found that the water system tank had busted and it flooded the house. So now the restoration people are here to prevent mold setting in a 3 day process.

So we are still here but we are water-logged here in the desert. We will get back to you as soon as we dry up a bit.

How are you this morning? I started the day off at 5:00am looking in on Chris. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning. The coffee is very good this morning and I am a bit hungry for some reason. It is a warm 80 degrees already and that means we are in for a hot one today here in the desert of Tucson.

We had a very nice dinner last night over at Nanci and Jeff's home, it is always good to see them and to hear about what the kids are up to and how things are going up on the property in New Mexico. Do you have any plans for today? We are going to go to breakfast with Elise's Mom this morning to Village Inn. We may take Chris bowling his afternoon depending on how Elise's back is feeling. After Rosemary arrives this evening we are going to Reid Park to watch the Pops Concert under the stars. We will be taking along our emergency kit which will have in it two wine glasses, a bottle of red, napkins, nuts, popcorn, salami, bread, chocolate and the most important item, the cork remover, smile. We will sit on our folding chairs and relax and just enjoy the music. Elise's Mom will be there as well, way up front near the stage with the group that comes from the Forum where she lives.

I knew I should have gotten a cup of coffee first thing this morning. I forgot to mention how are evening out went last night. Elise and I had a very nice dinner at Rio Cafe, it was Latin Fusion fare and it was very good.

Elise had Lechon, traditional Puerto Rican roasted pork shoulder slices, with Cuban black beans and rice. I had Chuletas de Puerco Empanizadas, breaded pork loin chops, with Moros y Cristianos, white rice and black beans together and tostones with garlic mojo. We shared a bottle of Shiraz that was pretty good, and we had coffee to top it off.

After dinner we went to Live Theatre and the play was very good and very funny. We returned home and I checked on Chris and we called it a night. I had better get some coffee now, eh?

I have to run a few errands this morning while Elise is training Rosemary. This evening we are going to visit Nanci and Jeff for dinner, it should be a a fun evening. I had better get busy and get my coffee cup ready for use, eh? Have a good Saturday and stay safe.

How is everyone this Friday morning? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is sending out Moose calls this morning, but she will be up and getting busy soon. Any plans for the weekend? I am on my second cup of coffee already and that means I an ready to get this day moving along.

We had a very nice dinner out last night with Elise's Mom, Toni, Lee, and Lois at on of our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food was very good and the Cadillac margaritas were excellent, so good we had two each. After dinner we took Toni and Elise's Mom home and we returned home and we played video games on the laptop. Elise prepared some more margaritas and it was rough trying to play the games let me tell you.

After Brent left I checked on Chris and we called it a night. Elise and I also went to see 17 Again and it was pretty good and funny. When Marv arrives this evening to care for Chris we are going to go to Rio Cafe for dinner. The Rio is a Latin Fusion restaurant and we haven't been there in quite a while. After dinner we are going to see a play at the Invisible Theatre. It should be a relaxing evening and fun.

Well, I had better get busy with Chris,eh? I also have to go to my office this afternoon s0 it is going to be a full day. Have a good Friday and a great weekend.

Hey, how are you doing this Thursday morning? I started today off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is still singing a sonata this morning but she will be up soon. It is a nice 67 degrees right now and the birds and Chris are chatting up a storm. The coffee is just about finished brewing and the aroma is filling the air. Any plans for today?

Elise and Chris will be getting a massage today and I know that they are looking forward to it. Brent will be caring for Chris this afternoon and I am sure the he will be taking Chris out today, maybe Park Mall. We are going to go out for Mexican food tonight with Elise's Mom, Toni, Lois and Lee. It will be Margaritaville revisited, smile.

Well, the day has come to ans end and it has been another good one. After the yard work I needed to recoup and rest up and I did, at least I think that I did. Elise prepared a very,very good casserole for dinner, it was a tuna casserole. Let me tell you it was great, as a matter of fact I had seconds and I really pigged out on it. We also had lettuce, carrots and a couple of grapefruit and vodka cocktails.

I got a text message from JT today to let me know that Pres. Obama was at ASU to give the commencement speech for the graduates and that he was a part of the event. He is thrilled about that. Well, I had better get back to work, but you have a nice peaceful evening.

Well, I have finished with the yard work, and I worn out. I am glad that I did it early this morning because it is smoking hot outside right now. Yes, it is and Chris and I are sitting outside under the umbrella and the dogs are played out as well.

I am going to have to go inside and get some Pelligrino and a few lemon slices to cool off. I hope to be able to take it slow and easy for the rest of the day. I have a slight headache that has been hanging around for a day now. I bet I need some more sleep or something, eh?

Well another day has come to an end and it has been a good one. Elise prepared breakfast for dinner that was excellent. We had french toast, sausages, and hot coffee, delicious.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise just left to play bridge at her Mom's. We watched a DVD that Zack, Elise's sister's son help to make. He was the Artistic Director and the movie was very good. We got to see the sets live here in Tucson and we recognized a lot of the sets and items in the movie. The title is Lost River.

Well, I had better get back to work with Chris. Have a good night and we hope that your Hump Day will be a good one.

We have a bird's nest on on the support beam in front of Chris's house, and the bird is sitting in it so we believe that it contains eggs. It is a very nice morning a perfect 65 degrees. Any plans for today?

Well , it has been a pretty good day. How about your day? Was it a good one? I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is at her Mom's playing bridge. The caregiver arrived and I began the training process with her, she seemed very interested in taking care of Chris. Chris was giving her a hard time by not looking at her, he does that when he doesn't care for you to much. She will return on another day that is available to see what the morning routine is like with Chris. He can be a character when he wants to be.

We had a very nice dinner tonight that consisted of soup, sandwiches, tomatoes, pickles, and baby carrots. We washed it down with Pellegrino with lemon slices. Well, I had better get back to caring for Chris. Have a great night and a good day tomorrow.

How are you this morning? I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is up and about this morning preparing to go assist at the local elementary school. Any plans for this Monday or are you going to take it as it comes?

Elise and I had a very nice time with her Mom yesterday. She loves hot dogs and that is what we had for dinner with beans, pickles, cottage cheese, and ice cream. After we took her home and Rosemary arrived to care for Chris we went to the Desert Diamond Casino and we had a nice time and we won a few bucks as well. A very nice evening indeed.

I will be training a caregiver this evening and we hope that Chris likes her and we hope that she will be able to handle caring for Chris. Well, I had better get another cup of coffee and get busy. Have a great day.

How are you this morning? I started the day off at several different times due to the dogs were barking at something in area. I started to get Chris settled at 5:30am and I put on the coffee. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning when she gets up. It is a nice 69 degrees but it is going to heat up very fast.

Elise is up and out swimming this morning. We had a very nice time at the casino last. We were not that lucky but we enjoyed being there. We had dinner at the Steakhouse in the casino and the food was very good. We shared a salad, baked potato, and a porterhouse steak. We also shared a nice red called Kiara (Private Reserve),it was very nice. We returned home and I checked on Chris and we called it a night.

Elise will be heading up to the Phoenix area with her Mom this morning to attend a wedding, they will return tomorrow. I have a couple of errands to run this morning but other than that I will be on the home front. Have a good day and a wonderful Sunday.

Elise is taking me to the Desert Diamond Casino this evening after the caregiver arrives, Elise always has a surprise or two for me, she is the best. Well, we just returned from having dinner at the Old Pueblo Grill and it was a fantastic evening. We eat out on the patio and it was very, very nice. We shared a bottle of red named Snapdragon and it was very good. Elise had a salad and I had the chicken tortilla soup. For the entree Elise had Sea bass, with red rice and slaw. I had a sirloin steak,Chile mac and cheese and slaw. For dessert we shared the ice cream sampler bowl, it consisted of Mocha Chocolate Cake, Arizona Chile Pecan, and Jalapeno Mint, it was the best with it's hot and cold combined together. We both had coffee to finish off the meal.

We returned home and I relieved Brent and Elise hit the sheets. I will follow suit as soon as Chris is settled. We also saws Duplicity and it was very good with a surprise ending. We hope that your day went well? Have a great night and a blessed upcoming Friday.

Well it's a bright Thursday morning here in Tucson. How are you doing? I started today off at 5:15am caring for Chris. My pardner in mischief is out and about early this morning. Chris and Elise will be getting their massages this morning at around 10:00am. I have a couple of errands to run today and that should do it for me.

Elise and I are going to go out for an early breakfast this morning, a change of pace so to speak. We are also going to go to the movies to see Duplicity with Julia Roberts this afternoon after Brent arrives to care for Chris. Also later in the evening we are going to have dinner at the Old Pueblo Grill, we will have our dinner out on the patio. It is supposed to be 101 degrees today and stay in the three digits for the rest of the week and weekend.

Well, I had better get to skipping and get this day moving. Have a good day and another cup of coffee on me.

Well, the day is winding down and it has been a good one but very hot. While running my errands today I had to purchase new tires for my car and that was not in the plan at all,but it had to be done.

Elise prepared cheese crisps for dinner with, salsa, jalapenos, tomatoes and lettuce. Of course we washed it all down with a couple of cold beers. We watched a DVD called Madagascar 2 with Chris and he really enjoyed it and so did we. I am taking care of Chris this evening and he is in a good mood. Now that he has learned how to move it,move it from Madagascar 2.

The coffee is good and Porkchop is keeping Chris company.

I have to run to my office this morning to turn in some paperwork and that is just about all that I have planned for today. I am sure that we will watch a DVD later this evening with Chris though. Today has been another good day,but it is very hot here in Tucson. Us desert dwellers are preparing for the coming heatwave. It is 90 degrees right now and tomorrow we will be in the three digits.

After Brent arrived to care for Chris, I tagged along with Elise while she ran her errands. We stopped on the air base to replenish our Jack Daniels, Rum, Vodka and Tequila, we have to keep a good stock on hand. You never know who might drop in, eh?

After the errands we stopped at Starbucks for a Frappacino and it was just great and very soothing in this hot weather. We returned home and Elise fixed breakfast for dinner. We had homemade mesquite pancakes with blueberry's, sausages, and hot coffee. I am stuffed. I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is at her Mom's playing bridge.

We had to start up the cooling today because it is just too hot. We hope that you day went well? I has better get back to Chris. Enjoy the evening and stay safe and cool.

How are you this morning? I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is up and out already this morning. It is supposed to be 104 degrees on Thursday, the boiling season has arrived, smile. Any plans for today?

After Brent arrives to care for Chris, we are going to run some errands and make a trip to the air base to stock up on Jack Daniels, Vodka, Rum and maybe Gin. I am looking at our possibilities of taking a trip to Las Vegas this month. We have no been there in a couple of years and with the economy the way that it is the rates are a steal right now.

How did your day go? Well, for a Monday it went rather well for us. Elise prepared soup for dinner, with veggies, sliced cheese, and pickles. We washed it all down with a Pellegrino with Lemon very refreshing.

Elise is at her Mom's playing bridge and I am caring for Chris this evening. We have come to find out that Chris's loves Lemon Supreme Pie. He gobbles it down without any hesitation and that is a good thing.

The temperature is really rising here in the Old Pueblo. It is supposed to be 100 degrees tomorrow and we have not started the cooling within the house as of yet,but we will very soon. Well, I had better get back to work. Have a peaceful evening all.

It's Monday morning again. How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is still asleep and sounding like a clock striking the hour. She will be up and at it shortly. Chris is in a cheerful mood and very talkative this morning. It is a nice 60 degrees and the breeze feels very good.

Well, the day has come to an end and it has been a good one. After breakfast this morning I took Elise's Mom home and I stopped off at Blockbusters to pick up a video to watch later this afternoon. Elise is still caring for Chris and is getting him ready for a bio-feedback treatment and a standing frame workout.

Elise brought Chris over to the main house and we watched the DVD, Yes Man and it was very good and Chris liked it a lot. Later we played video games on the laptop until Rosemary arrived to care for Chris. We left to pick up Elise's Mom and we met Paula and Marty at Zemans for dinner. We had a very nice time and the food was great and we consumed two bottles of red.

We left Zemans and we drove over to Paula and Marty's home for dessert and coffee. Let me tell you it was delicious and I am so very thankful to the both of them. We had a lemon pudding pie, (I pigged out), three different kinds of ice cream, and some very, very good coffee. A excellent evening, that we all enjoyed very much. We left to take Elise's Mom home and we returned home to relief Rosemary for the night. I checked on Chris and I will make sure that he is asleep before I join Elise in the main house to call it a day.

How are you doing this fine Sunday morning? I started the day off at 5:30am checking on and getting Chris settled. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning. The coffee is good this morning and Elise and I are sitting outside with the dogs and watching them play around.

Ann, and crew spent the night with us and they are still asleep. Yes, I am still bummed out about the caregiver situation because I don't get to have that much free time and when I plan something and it goes south it is very upsetting for me. I did enjoy my visit with JT yesterday it was very pleasant and it was good to see him.

We are going to the Broadway Cafe for breakfast this morning and I am very hungry this morning for some reason. This evening we are going out to Zemens with Paula and Marty and Elise's Mom for Ethiopian food. It is always a treat to go there, and it is BYOB and that is a plus, smile.

Well, I had better get this day started, we hope that your Sunday is a good one.

Well today has been a different kind of day I must say. I spent some time with my son JT on break from ASU today. It was good to see him and to hear about what is going on in Tempe, Arizona. We shared slices of his birthday cake and it was pretty good. His birthday was 1 May.

Elise and I were planning on attending the premier of Lost River but that got changed due to no caregiver was available to work with Chris tonight, so we stayed home and I cared for Chris. Elise's sister Ann, Eddie, his sister Kathy and Paula and Marty went to see the movie. We were really disappointed that we could not attend it.

So we watched a DVD and made the best of the evening. That has been my day in a nutshell. How was yours? Hope a lot better than ours? Have a great evening.

How are things going? I started today off at 5:30am getting Chris settled. Elise is up and about she will be caring for Chris after she returns from her workout. It is a nice morning here in the valley and the birds are singing loudly. Any plans for the weekend?

I have to run a few errands this morning and that is about it I guess. Elise and I went to Colors last night and had a Jack and Coke. Afterwards we went to the Live Theater production of Lemon Sky, and it was very good and well acted out. After the play we went to Buddy's Grill for dinner, one of our favorite places to eat. We shared a shrimp cocktail, and we both ordered the Pork Chops with potatoes and veggies. We shared a bottle of Pinot that was pretty good.

We returned home and I took over from Kris who was caring for Chris. I got Chris settled and I called it a night. It was a very nice evening, indeed. We are going to go to a premier showing of a movie called Lost River at the Fox Theater tonight. We will meet up with Paula and Marty, Elise's sister Ann and Eddie, and Eddie's sister Kathy. The movie Lost River had its set design done by Ann's son Zack and we are anxious to see the finished product and to see his name in the credits. Exciting!

Well, I had better get this party started, have a good day and a great weekend all.
