Good Night!

Good Night!

How was your Easter? It has been a very good day here in Tucson. The weather was perfect and not a cloud in the sky. We usually go out for breakfast every Sunday morning but not today. I have to tell you my stomach was growling big time, smile.

After the occupants of Do-Drop-Inn rooms 1 and  awakened the day began to take shape. Can you believe that the family came to dye here this morning in Tucson? Yes, they did come to dye eggs for the egg hunt that was going to take place later this afternoon. Did you get the play on words? Smile!

We treated our guests to coffee and espresso to get them jump started and it worked. We left for the foothills at around 12:30pm. We loaded up Chris's van and we were off on our short ride. Bobby joined us on this trip.

We arrived at Cathy's and she had prepared a feast that was delicious! We had ham, sausages, beets, bread, eggs, and plenty of vino. What a spread, thank you Cathy.

After we chowed down Ann and Cathy started to hide the eggs. Johnny and Eric were the ones who hunted for the eggs. This year was a little different due to Sara, Zack and Susan not being there.

I will post pics as soon as I get a chance to do so. I am going to have a very busy day tomorrow with the starting of my new book. I have not forgot about posting about our Vegas trip, it is coming soon.

We returned home and I refreshed Do-Drop-Inn room #2. I will refresh room # 1 tomorrow. It is my challenge to keep the rooms always ready for company at all times. I must make a note that (tips) are very much appreciated, smile!

After Rosemary arrived to care for Chris, Elise, Bobby and I went to the movies to see "Crood" in 3D. It was very good and funny. We returned home and Elise hit the sheets to read, and I am watching a little TV until after Rosemary's shift is over. Then I will check on Chris and I will call it a day myself.

We hope that your day was filled with family, friends, fun, food and happiness. Have a good evening and lookout, you know what tomorrow is right?

Cheers......Jessie and Elise

Tiger, I hope that your puter gets fixed soon.

Marcie, Jet sleep well.

Bobby, we enjoyed our Sunday with you.

Jane and John, have a good evening.

Flo and John, I sent you some pics of tulips.

Shoo and Stu, stay safe.

Country Granny, glad to hear that you had a wonderful Sunday. Thanks for posting to our blog.

Happy Easter!!

Good Morning!

Mood: Content!

Music listening to: March Of The SUV's by David Beniot'

Happy Easter! I started the day off at 4:50am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is in her cave this morning but she will be up soon to care for Chris. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and made from freshly ground beans. I will make my smoothie a little later this morning as to not to wake up anyone who is asleep.

Well, the Do-Drop-Inn is at full capacity on this Easter morning. Ann, Eddie, Eric and Johnny are here knocking out those zzzzzz's. I wonder who will get up first? Smile! Even the futon is being used in my office, we are well booked, eh?

We will be spending our traditional Easter in the foothills of Tucson with Cathy and Susan. They put out a very good spread for Easter with all of the fixings.

We will meet up at around 12:30pm or so. We always take Chris along for this gathering of family and friends. Bobby will be joining us this year and maybe John, if he can get away. The traditional Easter egg hunt will take place like it does every year. Zack and Sara will not be attending this year due to work commitments. It will seem different with them not here. As it is different that Mum is not here as well, but she will be there in spirit and enjoying every moment.

Elise and I had  very nice time last night at the DDC. We picked up our perks and we had a very nice dinner at the buffet. The casino was packed with people. The parking lots were jammed and we had to drive around to find a space to park. As a matter of fact we even had a hard time finding a slot machine to get on, it was just that crowded. We did not come home winners but we enjoyed it very much and of course we will return for our April perks, smile!

Tomorrow I begin to put print to paper. My new book "365 Days With Elise" A Journal 1 April 2013 to 1 April 2014 begins when Elise puts feet on the floor tomorrow morning.

I will also begin my class though Yale University on Friday. The class is Philosophy 176: Death, my Professor is Shelly Kagen. The class has 26 lectures and it requires a lot of reading. So like other classes that I have taken from Yale I will be asking for your opinions and input every now and again, smile! My professor is a real character and he should be a very interesting teacher to say the least.

Later in the evening Elise, Bobby and I are going to the movies to see Croods in 3D. It should be very funny. Well, I had better check on Chris. I hope the occupants of Do-Drop-In room #1 wake up soon so I can fix my smoothie.

Have a blessed Easter Sunday and enjoy. Stay safe and reflect on the meaning of this day.
Later...........Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie,Jet have a good day.

Loraine, stay safe.

Jane and John, enjoy the day.

Shoo and Stu, be careful.

Flo and John, stay well.

Olivia, have a good one.

Shirlene, how are things in New Orleans?

Herman, have a blessed day and give our best to all.

Mood: Very Relaxed!

Music listening to: Love To Love You Baby by Donna Summer

We're Back! How are you? I started the day early and several times due to Lampchop was on a barking binge during the night. Elise is deep in her cave this morning and she may or may not be up soon. Any plans for today?

The coffee is nice and hot and my banana, mango, pineapple, grape and whey smoothie is in the fridge. I have missed my smoothies while we were in Sin City.

I will give more details about our visit to Vegas after we get settled and back into the swing of things. We have a few caregiver issues that we have to look into and correct that took place while we were gone that are of a serious nature.

I have to make sure that the Do-Drop-Inn rooms #1 and 2 are ready for this evening. They will be occupied by family members who will be up from Bisbee for Easter dinner.

Elise, Bobby and I will be going to the DDC this evening to pick up our perks and bonus perks and also to have dinner at the buffet using our perks as well. Of course we will hit the slots for a while and we will be calling for a few Jack and Cokes, smile.

I begin my Philosophy course in a few days. My books arrived a couple of days ago. Also I will begin to write "365 Days With Elise" on April 1st. I am going to be very busy for quite a while, eh?

Well, I had better get busy with Chris. John will be here this morning to care for Chris and Rosemary will be here this evening.

Later.........Jessie and Elise

Tiger, did you get your puter fixed?

We missed you all.

At around 4:00pm we played Mahjongg with Bobby and it was a lot of fun. Elise beat us two games and Bobby won a game as well. What's up with that? Smile!

We had a very nice time watching some of the game at "BJ's" last night while we waited on Elise's gluten-free pizza to be made. "BJ"s was packed with a lot of U of A fans cheering on the Cat's.

After Elise's pizza was ready we headed for the "Gaslight Theater" to see the play "The Lone Stranger" it was a parody of the "Lone Ranger and Tonto". It was very good and so funny. We were joined by Donna and Angelica for the play. Donna and Elise ordered a salad, I ordered a medium pepperoni and sausage pizza.

It has been a very good weekend for us here in Tucson and it was topped of by our visit to the DDC yesterday with Bobby. We had a very nice dinner at the buffet but I was upset with myself because I left my buffet perk at home.

We picked up our gaming perk and that is always fun. Elise and I came home with over $1000.00 dollars in winnings last night. We WooHoo'ed all the way home and I still am, smile!

We had on our shamrocks and the luck of the Irish was with us last night. What a great evening! We hope that your weekend was a good one? This week is going to be a slow one but it will pick up on Thursday evening. We will be going to the "Gaslight Theater" with  Donna and Angelica.

Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a good day and be careful because it is a Monday. Oh yeah! Elise and I played a Mahjongg yesterday and she beat me. I was only two tiles away from winning, but it was a good game. We may play another game this afternoon it time permits.

Rosemary cared for Chris yesterday evening. That freed us up to go out for dinner at the "Cup" in Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson. It was a good thing that I made reservations ahead of time because they were turning people away because they were booked up until 8:00pm. We go seated and there were not that many people there, but it soon filled up, even outside on the patio was packed. It was a perfect evening outside.

We both had a nice glass of red that was a Spanish vino. Elise ordered the Corned Beef and Cabbage and I ordered the Fish and Chips. It was all good. We asked the waiter if one of the chefs was working this evening and he was. The waiter told him that we were there and he comped us a very nice carrot cake for dessert. I was delicious! Are we name droppers or what? Carlos is the significant other of our daughter Kim.

We left the "Cup" and we headed for the Arizona Theater Company to see the play " Neil Simon's play "Sunshine Boys" it was hilarious and we would recommend this one as a must see. Prior to the play starting we went into the cafe and we had a nice Zinfandel. It has been a perfect evening.

We returned home and Elise hit the sheets to read and I checked on Chris. I joined Elise and I glanced at our tablet to see if I had gotten any emails or messages. Soon it was lights out.

We are going out for breakfast this morning at the "Egg Connection" of course. Later this evening after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris we will be heading for the DDC. Bobby is going to join us. We will pick up our perks for St. Patty's Day and we hope that they are generous. We also eat dinner at the buffet as well. It should be loads of fun and we hope that we catch the luck of the Irish. We will have our green on without a doubt, smile! We hope to bring some of the green back home with us, Cha Ching!

Well, I had better get to it. Have a great St. Patty's day.

It Is On!

Good Afternoon!

Well, the car sale is on and the weather is very nice but a little warm. Wow, I have a great selection of cars from Honda's to Cadillac's.

Chris and I are having a good time showing the cars and it looks like it is going to be a banner sale day. WooHoo!

I have a gallon of my banana, peanut butter smoothie chilling in the Margarita machine. Chris is guarding it for me.

Wait a minute! There is the wheelchair lady giving Chris a hard time. WTF! She just turned over the Margarita machine with all of the smoothie in it. Chris is upset and he is trying to punch her out.

I went over to see what the problem was and she is complaining that there is no Jack Daniels to be had. See is pissed and so am I. We get into it and she runs over my foot with the wheelchair. Now she is yelling and screaming at my customers and they are starting to leave.

I grab her chair and I push her into the street and she is still yelling and now she is kicking at me. I wonder why the bridge players cannot hear this going on out here, hmmmm?

Chris has calmed down and she is rolling away and giving me the (bird). How dare this 70 something wheelchair bound nut do this to me. My sale is ruined. What an afternoon, man! I went inside to see if any of the bidders saw anything and they did not see or hear a thing. That is impossible! One of the bidders did get on my case for not completely helping Elise set up for the bridge game. What is going on here? What is next?

Here it is! I got a call saying that the house that I own on the east side has a plumbing problem, can you believe that? The sale is over so Chris and I are packing it in and going back inside. I am going to get a cognac to calm my nerves and I may give Chris a taste or two! Unbelievable! Next, time, next time! Bidders and shufflers you will catching the bus home.

TGIF!

Good Morning!

Mood: Confident! Go Cats!

Music listening to: R.S.V.P by Boney James and Rick Braum

It's a TGIF! How are you? I started the day off at 4:50am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning so she will be putting feet to the floor soon. Any plans for today?

The coffee is wunderbar this morning and  my banana, peanut butter, honey and whey smoothie is the bomb. It is in the fridge waiting on me. It is nice and cold and has those little crystals of ice in it. Delicioso!

Our Wildcats are in Las Vegas in the Pac 12 tournament and they beat Colorado yesterday. It was a very good game. I had to stand up to do the "Harlem Shake" after the win. They play UCLA this evening and we hope that they win again. Go Cats! Elise already has our dinner planned while we watch the game. We will have cheese crisps, refried beans, tamales, salsa and jalapenos. We will also have plenty of Cervazas to get it all down. That alone makes you want to do the "Harlem Shake", smile.

Marv will be here this evening to care for Chris. Elise is hosting a marathon bridge game this afternoon. So you bidders and shufflers have you bus passes, taxi fare, and you thumbs out because you will not be taking your cars back home today.

As a matter of fact the weather should be great today. Chris and I will be offering smoothies to our potential car buyers today. A nice banana, peanut butter, and whey smoothie get their minds right, smile! Elise's sister son has left his pick up here and I have the keys, it a nice looking Chevy truck. Guess what? If somebody likes it, it is gone too! Smile. He can catch a ride back with his parents when they return. I know what you are saying " How can you do that?" Times are rough and you have to go with the flow, eh?

Well, I had better get busy with Chris and I need to go over to the main house to help set up for the marathon bridge game. It is the least I can do right? Have a great day and stay safe, and say Go Cats!
Later.....Sold, smile. Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, how are you?

Loraine, have a good day.

Jane and John, what is new?

Bobby, how did things go yesterday?
