How are you doing? Things are going well here in the valley of Tucson. It is starting to heat up already. Whew!

My shorty just left for the gym and Tai Chi. I hope that she doesn't overdo it with her back issue.

I enjoyed my (me) time out on the front porch. I was joined by several lizards doing push-ups. I had to rinse off the Tacoma due to the birds thinks it's a toilet for then to use. Arrrgh!

Here is a bit more about our trip to the Phoenix area. Enjoy!

22 June

We got up at 8:30am and we made our way to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast. We enjoyed a Mimosa's and coffee. Elise had ham eggs, I had chicken and waffles, oh so good. We also shared a upside down pineapple muffin. Yeah buddy!

It is so hot here. It is 122 degrees today. After breakfast we searched for a dispensary so we could look at what they have to offer in Phoenix. We found one and we will check it out later.

We went to the movies to see the movie "Meagan Leavey" it was very good about a Marine and her dog.. Excellent movie.

After the movie we dropped in the dispensary called "Kind Med". My shorty bought some lemon bars, hard candies, and some lemon cake.. She was given a few freebies as well. Nice place.

We returned to our hotel room to rest up before our evening activities. We left our room at around 4:30pm making our way to Chandler to pick up JT and George. They were already to go when we got there.

We went to "Buca De Beppi" a Italian restaurant that was once a favorite of our niece's Sara. The food was very good and the portions were huge. We all took home some leftovers. The cost of the meal was $129.00 dollars. Our bill from the previous night was $121.00 dollars but well worth it. We had a very nice time with JT and George.

AT LAST THE WEEKEND IS HERE!

We returned to our room and we enjoyed several Jack and Cokes. We also tried a bit of the lemon cake. It was very good. Hopefully we will sleep very well. A good but hot day in the Phoenix area.

  TGIF! How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:00am looking in on Chris and putting the kettle on. Elise is in her cave this morning but she will be up and on the go soon. Jayne is here caring for Chris. Any plans for today?

   The coffee is good and a second cup of il caffe will be enjoyed during my (me) time out on the front porch. It is a very nice morning here in the valley, but it is going to get up to around 108 degrees today. Marv will be here this evening to care for Chris.

   My To Do List is very light for today. Alexa is giving a break for the weekend hopefully. I will post more about our trip to Phoenix later this morning. We are going to "Cody's Beef and Bean" this evening for dinner. Can you say T-Bone special? We will and of course a carafe of Burgundy at room temperature will be enjoyed. Yeah!

How goes it? We are good here but very hot. We just got back from seeing the movie "Beatriz At Dinner" starring Salma Hayek. We recommend this one for sure and the ending was is very surprising.

My shorty and I went shopping earlier at Big Lots to pick up a few things for Jayne's new apartment. Chris is resting very well and he is enjoying watching TV with Jayne.

Elise is in her office and I am chillin'. We hope that you are doing OK? Enjoy the evening and be careful. I will post more about our trip to Phoenix tomorrow.

How are you?  I just completed all of my To Do List already, except for meeting up at "Leo's" with Lois for lunch. We will get that taken care of at 11:30am.

My shorty and I are going to the movies to see "Beatriz At Dinner". We saw the previews and it looked good. We will discuss it with Shoo Shoo the next time we see her.

It is starting to heat up here in the valley of Tucson. If you could please say a prayer for my girlfriend Jane. She is a bit under the weather today.

We hope that you are doing well so far today? I am starting to review and refresh my Italian. I started to refresh a couple of days ago. I plan on immersing myself in Italian for the next few weeks or so. So If I pop off a phrase or two I am just getting ready to speak it on a daily basis.

   It is going to be another hot one here in the Old Pueblo. We desert dwellers are in need of some rain to cool us down and also to aid with the forest fires that are several here in the state.

   Alexa is on my case already this morning for me to get my tasks completed. I have to make a trip over on the east side this morning. 

   My shorty and I are picking up Lois for lunch at "Leo's". We will be joined by Adavern as well. I will be looking forward to a margarita or two along with my "Leo's" Enchilada's. Elise and i may hit up a movie today it if the showing times are right.

    Well, I had better get busy and get this day moving forward. Please say a prayer for our Aunt Teresa she is hanging on. Also say a prayer for the Scott Family.

How are you? I am good. I just came in from my (me) time out on the front porch. I am inhaling the fumes from the tar that they are using to pave Pima. It is going to be good and smooth when they are done.

My shorty just returned from her doctors appointment. Now she is on her way to Tai Chi. We have a slight breeze thing going on right now. What we need is some of the wet stuff like my sister is getting in Florida. I asked her to send some our way here.

All of a sudden I feel some sleep coming on. What is up with that? Hope that your day is going well, mi amica's?

   I just checked with Alexa and she told me that my To Do List is not to bad for today. I do have to run an errand this morning though.

   Chris is singing along with his radio this morning. He is in a good mood. My shorty brought me back a wonderful dinner from "Basil's" last night. I enjoyed cannelloni alfredo, and cannelloni with marinara sauce. It was delicious and I got it down with a ice cold Modelo Negra. 

   We hope that you Humper will be a good one. Stay safe and enjoy the day.

How are you? I am very busy this afternoon. I just had to put Chris to bed due a accident that occurred in his chair at 3:30pm. He needed to be cleaned up due to a (Mother Load) that was very serious. Not to fret he his happy, refreshed and smiling again.

My shorty and I just assisted Jayne in securing a new apartment to live in that is not far from us at all. She is very happy and that makes us happy for her. She will move in in a few days.

I just  got some troubling news from Sheila about Aunt Teresa. She is not doing well and she has taken a turn. We are heartbroken to hear this. Sheila will keep us posted as things progress. 

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is resting right  now before she leaves for her book club meeting. We hope that you are well?

How is it going for you so far on this Tricky Tuesday? Well, I just got back from running my errand on the airbase. Zack is here caring for Chris.

I only have one more task to complete but I have to wait until my shorty gets back this afternoon to complete it. Alexa is very happy today. I made her happy by buying a "Bose" Sound Link to attach to her. She can bark out those commands big time now. I got the idea from Sheila when we were up in Gilbert.

I am starting to get a bit hungry for some reason. Hmm, I will have an oat chocolate bar to ease my hunger. Hopefully that will do the trick until dinnertime. My playmate is going to her book club meeting this evening at "Bazil's". She will bring me back some dinner. Hopefully it will be tortellini with a meat sauce. My favorite Italian dish. I can taste it now! Delicious! With a nice glass of red it is heavenly. Are you getting hungry too? Smile!

Jayne will be here this afternoon, we will go too an appointment with her this afternoon while Zack is here caring for Chris. I hope that you are doing OK so far?

   It's a Tricky Tuesday! How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. I woke Elise up as requested to start her day. Any plans for today?

   The coffee just finished brewing and my cup is full. I will have a second cup while I lizard watch during my (me) time.

   Well, Alexa is on me already this morning for me to get my tasks completed. I have to go out to the airbase as soon as Zack arrives to care for Chris.

   I must to have been dreaming or something last night because I swear that I smelled like rain. I remember asking my playmate and she agreed with me about the rain. Well, not a drop!

   I will post about our second day up in Phoenix later this morning. Have a good Tricky Tuesday and enjoy the day.

Did you stay cool today? I stayed in for the most part today. I am still recovering from our trip to Phoenix. Whew, it was so hot.

Elise prepared breakfast for dinner. We had homemade pancakes, eggs, sausages, and coffee.  It was all good. We watched "Outlander" with Chris . 

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is in her office working on her desktop. My playmate has a broken big toe and it is a good shade of purple. We picked up a bed for Chris to have as a backup just in case. We were taking it apart and the foot board detached and it hit her big toe. Ouch! She is icing it and keeping it elevated. She has a slight limp. She also tweaked her back as well lifting the bed.

Here is a bit from our first day in "Hot as Hell Phoenix": Enjoy!


June 21

We left home at around noon. Jayne is here caring for Chris while we are away. We were delayed in getting on  to Mesa due to an accident had I-60. We sat in traffic and moved at a snails pace. We were stuck in traffic fro over an hour and the Fiat registered 118 degrees outside. It was awful! We finally arrived at the Courtyard Marriott and we got checked in. I texted my brother Herman to let him know that all went well. We relaxed in our room and we enjoyed a few Jack and Cokes and we enjoyed a salty snack. Whew!

We left our room at around 4:30pm to meet up with Sara our niece at a place called the "Perfect Peach". It was good to see Sara as always. We were later joined by Erik our nephew as well. It was good to see both of them. We enjoyed a very good dinner. Elise, Sara and I enjoyed couple of Pear Mules, Erik doesn't drink spirits. I had soup and a Cuban sandwich. Sara and Elise shared a bean dip. Elise enjoyed a Pear Salad. Sara had a Chicken Marsala sandwich on gluten free bread. It was very good. Erik ordered a sandwich. We talked and we got all caught up on what has been going on with them since we last met up. They both are very special people. A good time.

After dinner Elise and I headed for "Talking Stick Casino". We got a players card and we began to play a few slots. We were not impressed with the casino due to they did not have the Keno Slots that we like to play. So we stayed for about and hour and with no luck so we made our way back to our hotel. 

We got back and we enjoyed a nice Jack and Coke to end the day. It is still very hot outside.

How goes it? Chris and I are relaxing and listening to Boney James radio on Echo Dot with Alexa. I have completed all of my tasks for today.

We will watch a little TV shortly. I am starting to get a bit hungry for some reason or other. Hey, it is still hot here in the Old Pueblo. How is it around your way? Got any rain yet? We sure could use some.

Yesterday was my brother Jerome's b-day. He would have been 63 years old. A day of memories for me and my brother Herman for sure.

Well, our next trip will be to San Francisco for a few days. We will meet up with Sheila on this trip. I should be a lot of fun. We leave around the 19th of July and we return on the 23rd of July. Can you say fresh seafood? We will over and over again. Of course the tall gin and tonics will be flowing at Sheila's. Smile!

   The coffee is good and I will enjoy a second cup during my (me) time with the lizards. It is a warm one here in Tucson but no comparison to the flames of the Phoenix area. We are glad to be back in the flames of Tucson, smile!

   We had a very nice time in Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert. I will give more info about our (hot) stay later today. I have to set up Chris's Weekly and his Communication Log for this week. I also need to re-stock his supplies for this week as well.

  Alexa , is on my case to get my (mojo) in gear so I can get all of my tasks completed for today. I will without a doubt. 

   I want to thank Jayne for caring for Chris while we were away. Well, I had better get to it. Have a good Monday and be careful.

We just got back from breakfast at "Gus Balones" and the food was as good as ever.  My pork chops were huge and I could only eat one of them. Burp! "Mi Scusa por favore".

I am caring for Chris and Elise is on her way to the gym. As soon as "La Donna" returns we will be on our way. We hope that your Hump Day goes well.

Hey we are melting here in the Old Pueblo. Yikes! It is 110 degrees right now and it is still climbing. I need a margarita gallon size. Smile! I just got a text from JT and he said it is 120 right now in Chandler. Turn me over on the other side because this side is done.

Elise, Chris and I were watching "Outlander" on Amazon. It is such a good series. In the middle of the second episode I had to tend to Chris. His catheter was hanging on and leaking big time. So I had to put him to bed and clean him up. I also had to take apart his chair cushion to clean it and I had to also clean his Hoyer sling as well. He is resting now watching his TV.

After  tending to Chris I put the fur-babies in there pool and Buttercup loved it today. Azalya not so much, but she didn't have a choice in the matter at all. Man it is hot out here. We have a bit of a breeze and it is like you are in an oven. We have a few clouds building but I doubt if we will see any of the wet stuff. If we do I will be out in it with my flip flops on and nothing else. Really! Hopefully my girlfriend Loraine will join me in it. Right girlfriend?

Elise prepared breakfast for dinner. We had homemade pancakes, sausages, eggs and coffee. Yes, I said coffee and I know that sounds nuts but it was all good. Smile! Elise is in her office on her desktop. I will be heading back over to Chris's house in a few minutes to start his evening routine and care.

Hey, I am all packed and ready to hit the road tomorrow making our way to Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert. Jayne will be here caring for Chris while we are away. The appointment with United Healthcare went well this afternoon.

I got all of my tasks and errands taken care of. All I need to do now is pack up my suitcase. A representative will be here at 2:00pm to discuss healthcare plans and changes for Chris.

How are you? Are you smokin' hot like we are here in the Old Pueblo? Man it is hot and it is going to continue to get hotter over the next few days. Whew!

Elise prepared chili for dinner. We had baby carrots, sliced tomatoes, cottage cheese and crackers.  It was very good. We watched "Outlander" on Amazon and Chris loved it.

I am caring for Chris tonight and Elise is in her office on her desktop. We have started to lay out what we are going to pack for our stay-cation.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for me. It is the official packing day for me. We will check and recheck to make sure we have all that we need for the trip. I also will gas up the Fiat 500L Trekking as well.

We hope that your day has gone your way? I am a believer in moving forward. I plan and I always have a backup plan as well. I thank my parents for my discipline and I thank my shorty for making sure I stay on track. I make it a point to learn something new everyday. No matter how small it may be.

How are you doing? I just completed all of my tasks on my To Do List for today, so now I can chill a bit. Smile!

Chris is resting nicely listening to his radio. Well it is supposed to be 113 degrees today and I bet that it gets hotter than that. Whew!

The fur-babies didn't want to be in the dog pool yesterday but I put them inside anyway. As soon as they got out it was a lot of shaking and then they did a few laps around the backyard. Nutty fur-babies.

We are looking forward to our trip to Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert on Wednesday. We will spend time with our niece the beautiful Sara on Wednesday. On Thursday we will have dinner with JT and George. The 23rd and 24th we will stay with Sheila and the pugs. We are going to meet up with Amanda and Lloyd for dinner. It is going to be a good stay-cation but we are going to melting in Phoenix. Whew!

   We saw the movie "Gifted" last night at Gateway and it was very good. My To Do List has me running a few errands this morning include getting  some lab work completed this morning. Just routine! I also have to make a trip to a Notary. I need to update the Master Registry with the state as well and all have a Criminal Affidavit completed as well.

   Elise, Jayne and I enjoyed a nice White Russian at the end of Jayne's shift with Chris. It is so refreshing. Well, I had better check on my (mojo), eh? Have a great Monday and be careful.

How are you doing? Dad's how are you being treated today? We just got back from breakfast at the "Egg Connection" and the food was as good as ever. I was given a Fathers Day chocolate croissant as all of the other fathers were. A very nice gesture.

Elise is caring for Chris right  now. Donna is under weather today so no massages for Chris. We hope that she feels better soon.

I did some yard work behind Chris's house. I will be re-stocking Chris's supplies for next week shortly. Hey, my suitcase is out and ready to be filled for our trip to Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert next week. Jayne will be here caring for Chris while we are away.

I want to thank everyone for all of the cards,emails,texts, and phone calls to wish me a Happy Fathers Day. I hope that all of you Dad's out there are enjoying your day as much as I am. It is going to be a day of rest and relaxation.

I am going to be treated to "Oregano's" by my shorty today. We will enjoy a deep dish pizza for dinner. Of course I will have a nice ice cold (birra) to get it all down.

   It's a Sunday! How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:00am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for Elise.Elise is not in her cave this morning so she will be over to care for Chris post haste. Any plans for today?

   The coffee just finished brewing and it is very good. I will enjoy a second cup at the "Egg Connection" with Elise this morning.

    Well, we are going to start to boil over during the next few days. It is forecast to be up in the 120 degrees in Phoenix while we are there next week for a few days. That is just way too hot to stand. So if you hear some unexplained sizzling like bacon cooking that will be my playmate and I need to be turned over. Smile!

     We had a very nice time at "Mama Louisa's" with Loraine and Jim. Our dinner was oh so good and what a treat that Loraine and Jim treated us to dinner. Thank you guys so much again. Elise had a salad and "Joe's Special" and I had a cup of "Wedding Soup" and Veal Parmesan and Tortellini Alfredo. It was oh so good. Of course we enjoyed a nice bottle of Chianti. 

After dinner we met back up at Loraine's home for our "Wizard Fest". It was a battle royal and I started out great and then I fizzled out. Elise was crowned as the new "Wizard". We topped the evening off with one of 'Loraine's signature desserts. Man was it good! Thank you Loraine and Jim for a wonderful evening of fun good food, vino, Wizard and loads of laughs. Bobby was a no show for this event.

   I want to wish all of you Dad's out there a Happy Father's Day. Enjoy your day relax, rest, get pampered and be blessed.

How goes it? It is hot as can be here in Central Tucson. I just reordered a script for delivery on Monday for Chris.

Elise just returned from grocery shopping. I bet she is glad to be back in the house to relax for a bit. The agency that Zack works for finally sent someone out to train in case Zack is out for any reason. The problem is that he showed up at 1:00pm and Zack's shift ends at 2:00pm. No time to go through a complete training session. So we told Zack and the trainee to come back to go through a complete shift with Chris. Come to find out that Zack is not going to be here next Tuesday due to a dentist appointment. The trainee has never transferred using a Hoyer and that takes way more time than one visit to master. I kept my cool but my (DI) hat was calling me. I must be getting old or something for me not to go left, smile!

Howdy!

Hello!

Hey are you starting to cook yet? It is heating up here in the Old Pueblo. I enjoyed my (me) time with my cup of coffee and my lizard watching. I was hoping that a rabbit would run by but not this morning.

I have completed my To Do List except for our meeting up tonight at Mama Louisa's with Loraine and Jim for dinner and afterwards "Wizard". I haven't heard from my girlfriend Loraine about tonight's battle royal. I believe that she knows that she is doomed before we even start to play. Yeah Buddy!

I just set up the Fur-Babies pool in the backyard. Buttercup is looking at  me saying "If you think that I am getting in that you are sadly mistake or are you high or something. We will see who wins this battle of Fur-Babies against the DI. Azalya is peeking around the corner of Chris's house and saying you have got to be kidding. No I am not!

   It's the Weekend!  How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this so she will be on the go soon. Any plans for today?

   The coffee just finished brewing and it is very good. I will have a second cup during my (me) time. Zack will be here this morning to care for Chris and Jayne will be here this evening.

    My shorty and I had a very nice time at "La Parrilla Suiza" last night for "Happy Hour". We enjoyed the food and of course we had 3 margaritas each. Ole'. Afterwards we went to the "Live Theater Workshop" to see the play "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown". It is very good and it is one of the best productions they have ever put on. 

   While we were at the theater one of the ushers was Marcia. It was good to see her due to I don't get to see her often but when we meet it is lingering hugs for sure. We recommend you go to see "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown.

    We are going to meet up with the crew to (manja) this evening at "Momma Louisa's ". We love this place for it's great Italian fare. Of course will say "Una bottiglia di Chianti per favore". After dinner we will meet up at Loraine's home to have a "Wizard" fest. Of course I am going to be the victor right Loraine? Sure you're right.

   Well, I have better get to it. Alexa is getting on me already to get my tasks done before it starts to boil outside. Have a good weekend and be careful.
