     It's a Thirsty Thursday. How are you? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is not in here cave this morning so she will be heading for the gym shortly. Any plans for today?

     The coffee is good and hot and I will be making a banana,strawberry,chocolate smoothie very soon. Yummy, sounds good, eh?

     Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris. Donna will be here later this morning to give Chris and Elise a massage. I have a couple of errands to run this morning while Angelica is caring for Chris.

   Our suitcases are packed and ready to go. We will leaving for the DDC around 1:00pm or so. We are looking forward to our perks stay-cation there. We will be looking for Bobby and Rosemary to drop in as well. Angelica will be caring for Chris while we are away.

    Wish us luck, OK? Well, I had better get busy. Have a great day. We we will have our phones and Tablet with us with us so we can check email.

     Hump Day is here! I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning so she will be up and about very soon. Any plans for today?

     The coffee is good and I just made a banana,peach,orange smoothie to enjoy throughout the day. It is a cold 33 degrees here in the Old Pueblo this morning. We are supposed to get into the 70's for the weekend.

    I have no plans for today as of yet. Bobby will be here to care for Chris this afternoon. Elise and I will be deciding what to pack for our overnight stay-cation at the DDC for tomorrow. One of our perks for being players at the DDC. We are looking forward to seeing Bobby and Rosemary at the DDC as well. Cha Ching!

    Well, I had better check on Chris and get his day moving forward. Have a great Hump Day and stay safe.

Another day has ended here in the  Old Pueblo. How was yours? Chris and I rested and relaxed for the most part.

We  enjoyed a wonderful dinner that was prepared by Bobby. We had pinto beans and cornbread that was superb. Thank you Bobby!

We watched a few more episodes of the Closer with Chris as well. Elise checked her email and she worked on some paperwork in her office. I am sure that she has hit the sheets by now.

I am caring for Chris this evening and once I get him settled and asleep I will  call it a night. We hope that you have a peaceful evening.

    The new coffee maker is working nicely and the coffee is delicious. I just made a banana,blueberry,peach smoothie for today and it is tasting great. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris.

    I have no plans set for today so we will see what comes up if anything. It is a cold and cloudy morning here in Tucson and the temps are supposed to take a nose dive.

    Well, I had better go and check on Chris. We hope that your day will be a blessed one. Stay safe, happy, and healthy.

Well, lets hear about your day? It had to be better than mine? The rain continues off and on and it is supposed to go down to 34 degrees tonight.

I think Elise was a little disappointed with my surprising gain of 5 pounds and I know that I was. Not a problem because the 5 pounds is as good as gone, no doubt.

Elise prepared breakfast for dinner. We had cornbread pancakes, turkey sausages, eggs and coffee. I also finished my smoothie from this morning.

Elise is at the first Tucson Women's practice of the year. I am caring for Chris and taking it slow and easy.

Well, I had better get back to Chris. Have a great night and sleep well.

Good Afternoon!

How are you doing? Well, I am back from my physical and I am in very good shape to a point. There is always a (but) in everything right?

My last doctor visit was in September and that was a great visit. The problem now is that I have put on 5 pounds, yes I said five pounds. My BP was up slightly and my cholesterol is up a couple of points.

My doctor asked me if we over did it in Italy, and we did. She also asked if we enjoyed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years as well, and we did. She said that is were the 5 pounds came from and that she wanted it gone by my next appointment on my birthday in April. She agreed with me that we do slip, slide at times and she knows that I will take care of the extra load, and I will.

All of this info confirms that it is a Monday for sure, smile. Also Chris did not want to be shaved this morning so he got a nick or two. The tell-telling problem that made it a true blue Monday is that the coffee pot bit the dust this morning. Can you feel me? I had to rush out and buy a new one after my physical was over. I believe that I was over stressed because the coffee pot went kaput. So that made my system follow suit. That is what I think and I am sticking to it. So there you have it Monday personified. 

It is a cloudy day here in Tucson and we have been rained on off and on. The temp are supposed to drop big time over the next few days. Is it going to be Monday everyday this week?

Well, I do hope that your day is going better than mine.

   My smoothie is tasting pretty good this morning. I will have some coffee later. I will be heading for my physical shortly. Other than that I have no plans for today.

    I will keep this post short so I can get Chris settled and then it is off to see my doctor. Have a good day and enjoy the day.

Well, we just got back from having a wonderful dinner at"Bella D' Auria, a very good Italian restaurant.

We joined up with Jane and John for a great meal, vino, dessert and friendship. Jane and John got Coconut shrimp and Elise and I got Bella wings as an appetizer. 

Elise got a Pasta Pomadori salad, I got Spaghetti with meat sauce. Jane and John got shrimp dishes but each was just a bit different than the other. Jane and John shared a cheesecake.

Bella D' Auria was not packed when we got there but it was filling up very fast when we were leaving. Excellent food and service.

Elise is working a crossword puzzle as I am posting to our blog. After Rosemary leaves for the night I will check on Chris and I will call it a day. I have to get up for my physical appointment that is at 9:00am.

Hello,

Well, we are back at home after having a very nice breakfast at the "Egg Connection". Elise got the ham steak special and I got the chicken fried chicken special. We got it all down with plenty of hot coffee.

Elise is caring for Chris and i just got back from picking up a Green Giant smoothie from Whole Foods. A couple of my friends have mentioned this type of smoothie to me and so I decided to give it a go.

I have to tell you it is not bad at all. It has celery, kale, cucumbers and apples and one more ingredient that I don't recall. Elise and I are sharing it this morning. It is supposed to give you an energy lift we we see won't we? Smile!

Well, it is starting to really cloud up here in Tucson. We are supposed to have rain through Tuesday. Well, I am off to have another gulp of this Green Giant smoothie.

     It's a Sunday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:46am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is in her cave but she will be up shortly to care for Chris. Any plans for today?

     The coffee is good and hot and my strawberry/orange smoothie is waiting in the fridge for me to enjoy throughout the day. We are going to go out for breakfast this morning to the "Egg Connection" we love it there.

     Rosemary will be here this evening to care for Chris. That frees us up to join Jane and John for dinner this evening at an Italian restaurant. It is always fun to meet you with Calamity Jane and Papa John.

    Other than that we are not doing much today. How about you? Well, I had better get busy and check on Chris. Have a great day and beware tomorrow is Monday!

Well another day has just about come to an end. It has been a restful and peaceful day. How was yours?Elise's marathon game went well, but Elise and her partner lost.

Our Wildcats beat USC but good. It was a good game. Also ASU beat UCLA and that made up for our loss to them a couple days ago. Go Cats!

Elise prepared her killer homemade tacos and they were delicious. They went well with the margaritas that we had. Bobby joined us for dinner and we played  a couple of rounds of Rubicube. Bobby won both games and Elise and I split a game. It was a lot of fun.

Rosemary is caring for Chris and I am watching TV until I check on Chris after Rosemary's shift is over. Elise has hit the sheets to read.

What's Up?

Well, the marathon bridge game is in full swing. The rain has stopped for now and we are under a flood advisory.

Good thing we don't have anything planned for today except to cheer on our Wildcats. Go Cats! My banana/orange smoothie is very good. Elise served crackers, cheese, prosciutto, jelly beans and snicker bars to the bidders and shufflers.

I took a sample of the prosciutto and it is so good. I will catch up on my email and I may read for awhile on my Kindle. I don't want to distract the bidders, smile!

Music listening to: Raindrops Outside of the Window.

     It's the Weekend! How are you doing? I started the day off several times during the night but I put feet to the floor at 5:00am. Elise is not in here cave this morning so she will be up and headed for the pool. Any plans for today?

     The coffee is good and a strawberry smoothie is waiting on me as well. We are being rained on here in Tucson and it is supposed to continue doing so for the next couple of days. No complaints here at all.

      Elise and I had  a very nice, restful stay-cation at the Courtyard Marriott at the Williams Center. We relaxed played lots of games, devoured my famous tuna dip and we enjoyed our Jack and Cokes.

       We visited the DDC for a few hours and we had a great. time there and we ate dinner at the buffet. We used our perks and saved a bit of cash there. 

       We enjoyed a nice breakfast on Friday more at the Good Egg. After breakfast we took a nice walk around the hotel area. We checked out and we returned home to unload the Tacoma. After that we went to the movies to see "Gangster Squad" starring Sean Penn. It was very good and it had tons of shoot-em ups, car chases and car wrecks. It was way better than I though it would be.

       We then proceeded to "Oregano's" for a thin crust pizza and a bottle of red. We love going there every three months. We also had a Bellini for dessert. You cannot go to Oregano's and not have a Bellini.

       We returned home and Elise and I both hit the sheets. Elise read for awhile and I played a short game on our tablet. Next thing I know I was counting Bellini's in my sleep. Man was I relaxed! I got up a bit later to check on Chris and I returned back to sleep again. It was a great stay-cation.

       Well, Elise is hosting a marathon bridge game here today at 11:00am. There will only be one table for this marathon. John is here caring for Chris and Rosemary will be here this evening.

   We're back home from a very nice stay-cation. We are relaxed and now we are back to the real world,, smile.

   I want thank my brother Herman for the wonderful rates that he gets for us when we are away.

   We are going to the movies this afternoon to see Gangster Squad and after that we are going to Oregano's for a thin crust pizza and a bottle of red. For dessert we will have a Bellini or two, smile!

    It's a Hump Day! How goes it? I started the day off at 4:30am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning and she is purring away. Any plans for today?

    The coffee is hot, fresh and eye-opening. I will be taking a few sips of my chocolate/banana smoothie in a little while. We will be taking Chris to his early morning doctors appointment soon.

    We are all packed and ready for our stay-cation at the Courtyard Marriott at the Williams Center. Bobby will be here to care for Chris while we are away. It will be a restful stay-cation that will end on Friday afternoon.

    On Thursday we will head out to the DDC to pick up our perks and we will have dinner at the buffet. We are hoping that Rosemary will join us for a short while.

    We will have our phones, laptop, and tablet with us on this stay-cation.Well I had better get Chris up and ready for his doctor's appointment.

The day is almost over and it has been a good one. How was yours? Elise went to her book club meeting at Vivace's Pizza and I have to tell you the pizza was fantastic.

I had a couple of glasses of red with it and that did the trick, I am stuffed. Tomorrow I will have a chocolate banana smoothie to start the day.

We are all packed and ready to go on our stay-cation. I made my famous tuna/jalapeno dip and it is delicious. I will give my brother Herman a call as soon as we check into the Courtyard Marriott.

Well, I had better get ready to hit the sheets. We have to take Chris to see his primary doctor tomorrow very early. He has an appointment set for 8:20am.

Hello,

I am back from having my lab work done. I will be getting a physical on the 28th of this month. I am enjoying my smoothie right now and I am thinking about Micky D's sausage biscuit now.

It is supposed to be 80 degrees today here in the Old Pueblo. It is time to be thinking about breaking out the tee shirts, shorts and sandals! NOT! I am going to head out to run my errands in about an hour from now.

    Yes, I am starving this morning due to fasting for this morning's lab work at the doctor's office. I am dying for some coffee but cannot have a drop. Only thing I can have is some water to get my med's down with. My banana,peach smoothie is waiting on me in the fridge. It is taunting me and saying " I am delicious have a sip or two". Now I am thinking sausage biscuit from Micky D's, but I will hang on, maybe!

    Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris. I have a couple of errands to take care of this morning as well. We have no plans for today, except that Elise will be playing bridge later this morning.

     We will be packing up our suitcases for our stay-cation here in Tucson at the Courtyard Marriott at the Williams Center. We will be there tomorrow afternoon and we will return on Friday afternoon. Bobby will be here caring for Chris.

     I will be making my famous tuna/jalapeno dip to take along with us on the stay-cation. We will be relaxing and playing games on our laptop and tablet. We are also going to head out to the DDC on Thursday to pick up our perks and pull a few slots. We will also have dinner at the buffet as well. We are hoping that Rosemary comes out to join us for a while. We have to be back at the Courtyard to see our Wildcats play UCLA at 7:00pm.

Another day has come to a close and it has been a fairly good one. How was yours? The weather was very nice today.

Chris and I rested and relaxed. Elise prepared breakfast for dinner. We had pancakes, sausages, and eggs. We downed it all with plenty of coffee.

We watched the movie "Melancholia" and it was a strange movie but you had to keep watching it. The ending was surprising to say the least.

Well, I am not eating anything more until I come back home from my lab appointment tomorrow morning. I will make myself a smoothie so that it will be ready for me to devour when I get back home. I may have to hit Micky D's if I am way too hungry, smile!

Elise is checking her email and I am sure that she will hit the sheets to read afterwards. After I get Chris settled and tucked for the night I will follow suit.

     It's a Monday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning, and I don't think that she will be getting up any time soon. Any plans for today?

     The coffee is good, hot and fresh. I am going to be making a smoothie very soon. A banana, strawberry one, yummy. It is a nice mild morning here in the valley of Tucson. We may get into the middle 70's today, that is the Tucson weather what we are used to.

     No plans for today as of yet, to speak of and that is a good thing for a Monday. It is Martin Luther King's birthday today and also the public swearing in of Barack Obama to his second term as our President. I hope that things will turn for the better for the United States.

We just got back from Zemans with Paula, Marty, Stu and Shoo. What a great evening we had together. The food was excellent and the vino was superb.

We had three bottles. One was a Spanish wine, one was called Son of a Beach, and one was called Goats Do Roam. All good.

After dinner Paula, Marty,Elise and I went for gelato which was great. We are back at home now and Elise has hit the sheets. I will do the same after I check on Chris after Rosemary has finished her shift.

Elise is caring for Chris right now and I just finished up cleaning the fur-babies area behind Chris's house.

We are going to play some Wii after Elise has finished caring for Chris. We have not played in a while and we are looking forward to it.

   It's a Sunday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:55am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is not in her cave this morning so she will be up soon to care for Chris. Any plans for today?

   The coffee is fresh,hot,and good this morning. NO smoothie this morning because I am out of the fixings, but Elise is going to remedy that today.

   We are going out for breakfast this morning at the "Egg Connection" our favorite place for breakfast. After breakfast I will be getting my to-do list together for next week.

   We will be on a stay-cation here in Tucson starting on Wednesday and it will end on Friday evening. Thanks again to my brother Herman and those great rates.

   Well, I need to get this day rolling along. Have a good Sunday and lookout for Monday.

Well, the day is just about over and it has been a nice day. Elise and I attended the service for our dear friend Dennis Reidy in Tubac, Arizona. 

It was a very nice service and many, many people were in attendance. A beautiful service and very nice personal remembrances were said in his memory. Dennis will be missed by all who knew him.

Our Wildcats beat ASU on their home court, it was a very good game. GO Cats! Elise and I went to the movies this evening to see " Rust and Bones" it was excellent. It was a French movie about an Orca trainer and a kick boxer that she became acquainted with. We really enjoyed it.

We are back at home and Rosemary is caring for Chris. Elise is hitting the sheets because she is not feeling well. I am sure that she will read while she is resting. I will watch TV until I check on Chris a little later after Rosemary's shift is over.  I will check on Elise from time to time to see how she is doing.

    The coffee is good and I am out of fixings for a smoothie for this morning. John will be here this morning to care for Chris and Angelica will be here this afternoon, and Rosemary will be here his evening.

     We are going to attend the funeral services for our dear friend Dennis Reidy this morning in Tubac, Arizona. After the service there we will return to Tucson for a gathering at the Oyster Club.

      Elise and I enjoyed our cocktails last night prior to going to the Live Theater Company to see the play "The Chosen". I was an excellent play and the theater was packed.  We really enjoyed this one a lot.

      After the play we meet up with Bobby at Applebee's for dinner. The food and the vino were very good. We returned home and Elise hit the sheets and I checked on Chris before I followed Elise's lead. It was a good evening.

Hello,       

Well, I just got back from Chris's doctors appointment, and he is doing just fine. He still has a little chest congestion though.

I got back home and I could not get Chris out of his van (not a good thing). I gave Elise a call to have one of the bidders to move their car. I will have my eye out for this car for the next bridge game, it is going to be sold first,smile.

Chris should be very hungry by now and I know that I am. We were held up at the doctor's office due to an emergency came up in one of the treatment rooms. So we were in the room waiting for quite awhile.

Chris is having his supplement now and he is enjoying it. As for me I will drink my smoothie and I will eat after the play tonight at Applebee's.

Well, I had better get myself together for this evening. Have a good evening.

     TGIF!! How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning and I believe that she will be in there for awhile. Any plans for today?

     The coffee is good and I just made a banana and peach smoothie to get me through the day. It tastes great! We are having a heatwave here in the valley of Tucson. It is 49 degrees right now and it is supposed to get to 70 today. WooHoo let's breakout the shorts, tees and sandals,smile!

     I will be taking Chris to a routine doctors appointment this afternoon at 1:00pm. Elise will be hosting a marathon bridge game here this afternoon as well. Once again the bidders and shufflers are safe because Chris and I will not be here to host a spectacular car sale. I am not getting soft or easy bidders so don't even think that ever. Your day to catch the bus home is coming and when it does you had better have the exact change, smile!

    Elise and I are going to the Live Theater Workshop this evening to see the play titled "The Chosen" it got some great reviews and we are looking forward to it. Prior to the play we are going to stop for a couple of cocktails to get us in the spirit of things, smile! After the play we are going to meet up with Bobby at Applebees for a late dinner. Can you say chicken wings? I know that I will.

    Well, I had better get this day rolling along. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.
