Howdy!!

Howdy!!

Well, we just got back from having breakfast with Paula and Marty at " Cafe Ala Cart". It was very good and the place is wonderful. It is a hidden gem here in the Old Pueblo. I know for a fact that we will be going back again in the near future for another breakfast and for dinner. Thank you Paula and Marty for suggesting it. Also thank you so very much for the pound of coffee.

Elise is caring for Chris right now and I am catching up on emails and some paperwork. Bobby and his family our out at the Desert Museum. I know that they will enjoy the visit very much. It is going to be a hot one today. It is supposed to reach 109 degrees and stay that way for the next couple of days. We are cooking in our own juices here in the Valley of Tucson. Whew!!!

Well, here is the final installment on our trip to Nice, France. Enjoy!

31 July 12
We got up early this morning and had some coffee and chatted a bit with Odette and Olivia. We were all re-packed and ready to head for the airport.

We loaded up Franks car and we said our good-byes and thank you to Odette and Olivia. We said our good-byes to the other family members last night. We had a grand time visiting with Odette and we are praying that she starts to feel better soon.

Frank got us to the airport in about 40 minutes and we had plenty of time to relax, check our bags and grab a bite to eat. We offered to pay Frank for taking us to the airport but he refused. He is a very nice you man and Olivia is blessed to have him in her life.

We boarded our plane and we were on our way to London to catch our connecting flight. We checked in and we got a surprise. We were upgraded to business class and that was very nice. The seats were bigger, more leg room, pillows, sleep mask, blanket, toothbrush and premium headphones, socks, and a pen.  It was great! We are on our way to Phoenix, Arizona. When we were in the airport we looked around at the shops and we bought some items to bring home and I ran across a watch that cost 8,000.00 dollars of course I bought to of them. One for me and one for Elise. Right?

It was a long flight home but we arrived in Phoenix at around 5:30pm. We went through customs  and I called the hotel for the shuttle to come and pick us up. Within 20 minutes or so we were picked up and delivered to the Spring Hill Suites were we had reservations with a great rate thanks to my brother Herman.

We were exhausted let me tell you. What a long flight! We picked up our keys from the desk for the
Tacoma and we got out some Jack of course and a few cokes and we had a nice cocktail.  After that we hit the sheets and we called it a night.

1 Aug 12

We got up at around 8:00am or so and we showered and got dressed and we left for breakfast. We went to a Denny's that was right up the street. We has plenty of coffee don't you know?

We returned to our room and we gathered up our things and we loaded up the Tacoma and we checked out heading for Tucson. We got into Tucson at around 4:00pm and we unloaded the Tacoma and we went over to check on Chris and Rosie. Chris was doing just fine.

We later got together with Bobby and we headed over to  "Oregano's' for dinner. We had a bottle of red, Elise and I did. Bobby got a mixed drink, we sat at the bar instead of a booth or a table. Bobby ordered the lasagna and we ordered our usual thin crust pizza. The food was excellent. For dessert we all had Bellini's and they were nice and cold and delicious. The visit to "Oregano's officially ended our trip to France. It was good to be home, but we were not prepared for the jet-lag to hit us but it did and it was not pretty. We had a wonderful time in Nice, France. Our next trip is in October. We are headed back across the pond for Italy (Tuscany) my old stomping grounds many, many moons ago.
