Hello!

Hello!

Well, I am back from running my errands. Elise is out and about already. It is starting to heat up and it just might hit the 107 mark today. A good reason to sty inside wouldn't you say?

Here is a bit more about our trip to Nice, France. Enjoy!

We got up early today at 7:00am. We were up because we wanted to go back to the village of Levens again. We love to torture ourselves don't we? Smile.

We made climb back up the hill to Levens to do some shopping because the stores close at noon on Sunday's. We got a table at a small outside cafe and we both had coffee and water. We did a lot of people watching while we recovered from the climb.

There was a farmer's market going on and it was great. We bought a bunch of things from the market, without thinking that we had to lug it all back down the hill. We bought fresh cheese, wild boar sausage, fresh tomatoes, and peaches. Yummy!

We stopped at a bakery on the way back down the hill. We picked up some more french bread. We finally arrived back at Odette's and we were pooped, let me tell you.

We are now eating freshly baked bread, cheese, mortedella, and tomatoes. Of course we had to crack open a bottle of red, smile! Odette is resting nicely.

We spent the day watching the Olympics, playing "Wizard", and doing crossword puzzles. At around 6:00pm Olivia came home and we went with her back up to the village of Levens. This time she drove us. We went to get pizza it was 7:00pm. We sat and talked while our pizzas were being made. We arrived back home at 8:00pm with the pizza. Odette did not make the trip with us.

We had four pizzas, one for each of us. All with different toppings and we shared them all. They were delicious. We talked while we ate our dinner and we downed our vino (rosso). It was now 10:30pm and it was time to call it a night. Another good day in Southern France.

Here is a Foie Gras that we brought back home. It is a Duck Pate'
