Boun Jour!

Hello,

Well, I have finished my errands and the Truly Nolan inspection is over and all is good. As promised here is a bit more about our trip to France.

24 Jul 12

We got up early and Elise went to the pool to swim a million laps. I showered and Elise returned and she followed suit. We went to to lobby for breakfast and it was pretty good.

We returned to our room and we planned out our day. We got a late checkout so we went to the movies. We returned to our room and we packed up. We dropped off the keys to the Tacoma and we got on the hotel shuttle and we left for the airport which was about 10 minutes away.

We checked our bags and we found the currency exchange and we bought some (Euro's). The dollar is only worth about 78cent in Euro's not that good at all.

We found a restaurant in the airport and we had a few Jack and Cokes and a huge, I mean huge plate of nachos with the works on it. It was fantastic.

After eating we left for our gate and we cleared security and we joined the crowds waiting to depart. Our flight left at 7:25pm and it was not a full flight and that was good. We took a melatonin to help us get some sleep during the long flight of 9 hours or so. Getting to sleep was not easy but we got in a few winks.

We arrived in London at (Heathrow) at around 1:00pm on Wednesday. We had to hurry to catch our connecting flight to Nice. We arrived in Nice and we were surprised to see not only Olivia was there to pick us up but Odette was there as well. She had her arm in a cast . She had broken her wrist a few days ago. Oh, My! Olivia is living with her because there are so many things that she cannot do on her own.

We headed to the parking garage to load up our suitcase. Olivia has a Fiat 500, I love that car. I owned one when I lived in Italy, I just love it. The snag was that our suitcases would not fit in the back. So Odette had to call her son Alexi to come to get us.

Alexi arrived and we put the luggage in his truck and he left to deliver them to the house. Odette, Elise and I piled into Olivia's Fiat and we headed for there home.We stopped at a Spar market on the way to pick up a few things for dinner and of course a few bottles of French Red, smile!

We arrived at the house and we unloaded and we got settled in Olivia's room for our stay. Odette and Olivia began to prepare dinner for us and Elise gave a hand. I was nursing a glass of red but so was Elise. She can multi-task, smile.

We had salad with tuna, fois gras, hard boiled eggs, and French bread and lots more red. We talked for quite a while and then the jet-lag reared it's head. So we crashed at 10:30pm. What a long day,eh?

Here are a few pics of the outside of Odette's home and the surrounding hillsides.

We will post more pics tomorrow of the house inside and out. I will not be posting any pics of Odette because she prefers not. Tomorrow we will be heading for the Village of Levens to sight see and people watch.

What a beautiful area! It looks just like I imagine France should look.

Buon Pomeriggio!

Buon Pomeriggio! How is your Domenica going so far? I have to tell you that mine is just not the same. I am usually doing my Domenica tasks ...
