Hello!

Hello!

Are you awake yet? Ya, ya!  Rick is here caring for Chris and Elise is at the gym working out and Susie is still counting critters in her sleep, smile!

I just finished my second cup of coffee and I am starting to get the munchies early this morning? What's up with that?

Here is a bit more from our Maui trip, enjoy!

May 16th

It is 6:30am and we are up and ready to roll! Jane did you go there? of course you did. We slept for 8 hours, yep long plane rides will do that to you for sure. We are getting ready to head down for the free resort breakfast. Yes, I said free! WooHoo!

It is 9:50am and we are joined by Bobby and Marv for the breakfast buffet. It was very good and we were given the happenings for the resort and the surrounding area.

After breakfast Elise and I went to buy four tickets for a Luau that we will attend after the our helicopter ride in a couple of days. It is one of the highlights of this trip  Elise and I walked along the beach and we stopped in Whaler Village where we bought two hats and a hanging sign to give as a gift.

It is now about 1:00pm and we just got back from Lahaina where we all shopped and we bought tickets for a over 21 magic show in Lahaina. We enjoyed a very good lunch at "Cheeseburger Paradise. We enjoyed delicious cheeseburgers and fries. Bobby had the fish and chips which Elise sample and she said it was delicious.

We returned to the resort and Elise and I decided to hit the water. At first the water was cold but after awhile it warmed up. The ocean was a bit rough with some nice waves that once they came it they took you right back out again. My playmate was having a good time (body surfing). She was covered in sand when she got out of the water. We both sat on the beach and we when a wave came in it loaded us up with sand as it took us back out. A lot of people were enjoying being hit by a wave and then being drawn by in. We walked back to our room and we were still loaded with sand everywhere. We put our bathing suits out on the (lanai) to dry and we shook out more sand. We took showers and we thought that the drain was going to plug up with sand because it was so much of it, but it didn't. Whew! It was a lot of fun!

It is about 9:00pm and we just got back for the "Hula Grill". A restaurant right on the beach. It is a good thing we made reservations for a table because the place was packed. Our waitress named Eve waited on us and she was wonderful. She looks just like Bette Midler for real. She is gay and she has been married to her wife for 30 years. We had such a good time. The bill came to $267.71 and with the $51.00 tip took it to $318.00 greenbacks but well worth it. After dinner we called it game over and we headed back to your rooms. Fantastic evening and a great way to end a day in paradise.
