Hey, how are you? Well, I have been on a roll. I have completed my To Do List so far but I still have to get Chris to his doctors appointment this afternoon and I am going to hit the treadmill this evening.I have been a busy beaver. Jane, don't go there. Wait go ahead!
Here is what happened on the second day of our trip to Brooklyn, New York. Enjoy!

I got up early and I hit the shower to start the day and I put on the coffee pot. Elise is now up and it is 9:30am. We both slept very well even though it was a little warm during the night. Now it is about 10:00am and it is chilly outside.
We glance out of the window and just about everyone is wearing a coat, hoodie or long pants. We ventured out for breakfast to a place called "Cafe Luluc" that was recommended by Calvin. The food was very good and so was the coffee.
Today we decided to walk the "Brooklyn Bridge" over to Manhatten. Once there we walked around and decided to go to the "Ground Zero Memorial". Wow, we got lost a few times but we love too do that when we travel around.
The "Ground Zero Memorial" is something to see and you can feel the energy all around you. We spent a lot of time here and inside of the "World Trade Center". If you ever get to New York this is a must see. We also stopped at Wall St and Tribeca.

After all of that walking we were hungry so we stopped at a deli next to the "World Trade Center". We both had (paninis) that were good but nowhere as good as the ones we enjoyed in Florence, Italy.
So we decided to walk around Manhatten some more. We came up on the "Trump Towers" and we had to take a few choice pictures of it. Elise gave the "Trump Towers" a Arizona Saguaro Salute. She was seen doing this by two women and they both started to laugh big time. They were obvious Democrats. They asked if they could take a picture of Elise and I together and they did. Of course the "Arizona Salute" made another appearance. Afterward we talked a bit and they mentioned that Arizona may go blue this year. While we were there Elise bought a Hillary button that says "A Woman's Place Is In The White House".
We start to walk back to the "Brooklyn Bridge" to head back to our apartment. We get back to our room and it is 6:45pm. We have been out for a very long time. We are pooped. We took 31,000 steps today which comes out to 13 miles of walking each. Wow, we are amazed but we both know that we are going to suffer later. Not smiling!
We hit a few Jack and Cokes to cool down. We go across the street to "Numero 28" for dinner. We share a nice bottle of Chianti Classico for $48.00 from Italy. It goes so good with fresh bread dipped in balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Elise enjoyed a mushroom risotto, and I had Fettuccine Bolognese that was delicious. We topped the meal off with each of us having a glass of (Sambuca). Our total for this dining event was $123.00. Yikes, but well worth it.
We crawled back across the street to our apartment and we called it a night. Another good day in Brooklyn.
