It's The Weekend!

Good Morning

Mood: Chillin'

Music listening to: Birds chirping in the trees

It's The Weekend! What's up? I started the day off at 5:20am caring for Chris. Elise is counting those zzz's this morning and she is not in her cave. I don't think that she will be getting up soon and heading out to the gym. That is out for her for the next two weeks or so. She hates that I am sure. Any plans for today?

We had a very nice evening at Colors with Bobby and Nicolette. Elise and I had our usual Jack and Cokes. It was good to see Nicolette out, she's a very lively and fun to be around.

After Colors, Elise, Bobby and I went to the Live Theater Workshop to see "Harvey" and it was pretty good at least I thought so. After the play we went to Applebees for a late dinner. The food was great and the place was packed. I had a cold Mojito but it was lacking in the strength of the mint. We returned home and I checked on Chris and we called it a night. It was a pretty good Friday I must say.

We are going to take it slow and easy today. We have nothing planned. John is caring for Chris this morning and Bobby will be caring for Chris this evening due to Rosie wanted the day off.

Well, we hope that you day is a good one. Enjoy and stay safe. Here a a bit about our stay in San Diego. I will post a one day at a time, with pics of course.

We are leaving on time for San Diego. Rosie got here early so we hit the highway. We stopped in Eloy, AZ for breakfast at Denny's. Elise had an omelet with cheese, chorizo, bacon and steak. It was very good and very large and we saved the leftovers for later. I had the eggs over my hammy sandwich and I ate the whole thing, Burp! Of course we had plenty of coffee.

We listened to a book on CD about Clinton/Obama election of 2008. It is very interesting and a lot of info that was on the CD never made it to the news media. We arrived at our hotel at 4:00pm and we got checked in and settled with a Jack and Coke.

We stayed at a Best Western Plus called the " Hacienda Inn" it is a very nice place. We thought that it was the same place that we stayed in the last time we were in San Diego many years back but it was not. The one we stayed in the last time is now a Marriott Courtyard.

Well, it is time to explore Old Town because we were hungry. We walked around for a short while and we stopped in a few shops and we stopped in a African American shop that was very interesting, and the proprietor was well versed and knowledgeable.

We decided to eat dinner at "Cafe Coyote' because we ate there on during our last visit to Old Town. I have to tell you the food is still as good as the first time. We started off with some chips and salsa and we each had a "Cabo Rita". It was delicious and we asked for more salsa. Our waiter suggested we try the salsa flight and we did. It had four different salsas an we dug in.

Two of the salsas were mild but tasty and the two were "Hot" picante hot "Wow". We were both blowing our noses, wiping our eyes, coughing and snorting our margaritas!! Man was that good! Elise had shrimp tacos, beans and rice. I had a enchilada plate with a chicken enchiladas and beans and rice. What a meal! We another "Cabo Rita to top the meal off.

We stumbled back to our hotel that was two blocks away and our mouths were still blazing away, we were on fire and we loved it. We got back into our room and we received a call from Elise's sister Ann to tell us what time the games would start tomorrow. She said it started at 7:00am. We both looked at each other and I set the alarm clock for 6:00am to make sure we would be on time. Well called it game over and it was only 8:00pm, can you believe that. The party animals were down for the count and still on fire, smile!

What kind of fun advice is that for an old friend - "behave"!!

Give Elise a hug.

Buon Pomeriggio!

Buon Pomeriggio! How is your Domenica going so far? I have to tell you that mine is just not the same. I am usually doing my Domenica tasks ...
