Afternoon! (Car Sales)

Good Afternoon!

How are you doing? We are doing just fine here in Tucson. The weather is wonderful and Chris and I are having a lot of fun showing cars this afternoon.

We are just showing our vast inventory of cars today, hoping that the viewers like what they see and hopefully they will return to purchase one or two if these fine vehicles.

The lookers are enjoying the refreshments big time. Chris and I have potato chips, Frito's, some dip, popcorn, soda and ice cold water.

Wait a minute we are hearing a lot of noise that sounds like the revving of small engines. It is getting closer and closer. The lookers have stopped looking and are wondering what all the noise is about.

Oh my goodness! I don't believe what I am seeing. It is the wheelchair lady. Oh No! She has been upgraded from a wheelchair to a Rascal scooter.

She has a posse with her of about 10 people riding scooters. WTF? This is not good at all. Now they have formed a circle around the cars that are being viewed. My potential car buyers are getting nervous and so am I. What are they up to?

Well, the little old lady that used to come by in the wheelchair is now making her move up front. What is she doing? She raised her hand and she has an empty shot glass in it. All of a sudden the rest of her posse were raising a glass as well.

All of a sudden they begin to yell " We want Jack" We want Jack" We want it now". This was making Chris a little antsy to say the least. They began to blow their scooter horns loudly, this is not good.

Next thing I know they had formed a circle like a wagon train, and they started to circle the cars and the viewers. All of a sudden a cloud of smoke appeared from the circle of   her posse. The cloud got closer to us and this is unbelievable.

The cloud was a cloud of flatulence from the posse. It is terrible and they are still yelling for Jack. This cloud made the views take flight in a hurry. She has done it to me again, can you believe that?

I took up a fighting stance and I put Chris's arms up so he could get in a few good ones as well. I unstrapped Chris's feet from his chair so he could get a kick in or two as well. Chris was ready to go.

All of a sudden one of the shufflers came out to her car for some reason and she saw what was going on. She was in shock and she went back into the house and she told the other bidders what was going on outside. What happened next is a miracle.

The shufflers and bidders all came out with cards in hand and told the posse to leave. The posse did not listen at all. All of a sudden the bidders and shufflers began to toss cards like they were ninjas. Yes, you heard me right. The cards were flying with accuracy like kung fu stars..

One of the scooters got too close to Chris and his right leg came straight out and he kicked the scooter out from under the leader. The bidders were still striking with accuracy. All of a sudden the leader yelled out "Retreat" and the posse formed up and are now headed down Pima toward Columbus. The bidders and shufflers started to do a victory dance and they went back inside to finish the bridge game.

Wow, what afternoon. Once again the wheelchair lady ruined my day. I got things cleaned up out front and I took Chris back inside for some lunch. I went over to thank the bidders and shufflers and they were busy back to their game of bridge. They acted like nothing happened at all.

I was looking at Elise and she had a smile on her face and she gave me a wink. I turned around and left very puzzled, dumbfounded and at awe. I need a drink, a double. That wheelchair lady is one smart bag of Depends, smile!

After Marv arrives this evening we are going to go to have a couple of cocktails before we go to Live Theater Company to see a live play. After that we will have a late dinner at Applebee's. We will meet up with Bobby at around 9:30pm or so.

What a day this has been in the Old Pueblo.

Cheers.......Jessie and Elise
