Good Morning

Sunrise in Rocky Point, Mexico.

Mood: Happy

Music listening to: Slipping Into Darkness by War.

Morning All,

How has everyone been doing? Well, we hope so. I started today at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting sheep. The coffee is on and I will grab a cup as soon as it is ready because I am let me tell you. We had a very nice time in Rocky Point, Mexico it was very relaxing and we needed the break badly.

I have to get Chris ready this morning early due to he will be visited by his case manager Jeanne Walker. He loves it when she visits because he gets to arm wrestle her and he gives her a hard time, but he loves it.

Well we arrived in Rocky Point at around 2:00pm on the 15th of October and we unloaded the pick up and. We immediately fixed a Jack and Coke and we ate a few Jalapenos stuffed with tuna salad that I made prior to leaving Tucson. It was so good! We are staying right on the beach at Bucky and Dena's house, we stay there every time we visit Rocky Point. They have a beautiful home and it is worth over a million dollars.

Elise and I took a walk on the beach for about an hour. The weather is very nice, hot but not too hot and the breeze off of the Sea of Cortez cools you down. We ended the walk at about 6:00pm and we had dinner of Ham Sandwiches with cheese, more Jack and Coke and more Jalapenos. We watched a DVD called Grand Canyon it was good. We could not get the Direct TV to work and we could not get any computer network as well. We were stranded from the world so to speak. We called it a night after the movie.

We started the day at 7:00am by having breakfast that Elise fixed. It was Bacon, eggs, toast, and coffee. We decided that we would go into he city to buy a few things from the grocery store that we needed later in the day. There is a house right next door that is for sale and the asking price is $850,000.00 but it is not as nice as Bucky and Dena's home. It is all about the location, right on the beach itself. We took another stroll on the beach before we went shopping. We bought a few things to include paper towels, shrimp, cheese, refried beans, cheese, chips, cokes, avocado.

We returned home and we took our chairs down to the beach at around 2:00pm. We had lunch more jalapenos and beer. We people watched and the sea was rolling on our toes and legs. Very nice and the water was just right not too cold. We went back inside and Elise fixed us a Jack and Coke. I began to prepare the shrimp and Elise relaxed and read a bit. For dinner we had sauteed shrimp with garlic chile sauce mixed with olive oil, refried beans, quinoa and a bottle of Flying Fish Merlot. It was exquisite! Better than any restaurant fare. While were eating we watched the Godfather 1, he original. It was hard to believe that it was done back in 1972, boy does time fly by. We called it a night.

We started the day at about 9:00am, Elise was a bit tired this morning because she didn't sleep that well last night. She fixed breakfast bacon, eggs, ham and potatoes, toast of course coffee. We talked about how good the dinner was last night and we decided to go back into the city to buy more shrimp for dinner tonight. I am not kidding it was excellent. We talked about stopping back by the casino in Tucson on our return, because we stopped there on our way to Rocky Point. I won $75.00 after putting $25.00 into the dollar slot machine. This trip was pretty much paid for by the winnings from the casino, a good deal, eh?

We went back out to sit on the beach and the surf rolled in onus while we finished off the last of the Jalapenos. We threw down a few beers and we watch the people next to s fly kites. We also watched the boats go by pulling pontoons with people riding them having a good time. The pontoons were in the shape of whales and the weather was perfect. We took another stroll along the beach along with many other people and their dogs. We went back inside and we began to prepare dinner and of course we had a Jack and Coke while we were working. We had our shrimp and refried beans, and we had rice this time. It was so good. We watched the Godfather 2 while we ate dinner. After dinner we took hot showers and called it a night.

We got up at around 8:30am and this time I didn't sleep well but Elise sure did. We had a very light breakfast this morning. Elise is out on the porch reading and watching the waves come in and recede. We later got all packed up and secured the house and we departed for Tucson at about 10:00am. Oh, I forgot last night we before we turned in we started a fire in the fire pit outside facing the sea and we listened to the surf and the crackling of the fire and we gazed at the stars. We arrived in Tucson and we stopped at McDonalds for something to eat. Afterward we stopped at the casino to try our luck again and then we left for home. I was a very nice trip, and oh so relaxing and we both needed the change of scenery. I told Elise that it is the very simple things that make this life worth while and and she agreed with me. We hope that this give you an idea of how much fun we had in Rocky Point, Mexico? It is good to travel but it is always a pleasure to come back home.

Have a great day all, we missed you guys while we were away.

Ciao.......................

Rory, enjoy your vacation.
