Good Night  


      We just returned from having a nice dinner at El Parador. The food was good and the margaritas were good too and a bit different than what we are used to. They add something to it that gives it a fizzy kind of feel. It felt good, smile!


      Elise is checking her email and I am watching TV. Bobby will be leaving shortly and I will check on Chris later before I hit the pillow. It has been a very good stay-cation here in the Old Pueblo for sure.


     Well, I had better say good night to you all. Have a good sleep and wake up tomorrow refreshed and ready to tackle TGIF!

We're Back on a Thirsty Thursday!

Good Afternoon!


Mood: Bigger Pockets! Cha Ching!!!

      We're Back! How are you doing on this Thirsty Thursday? Well we had a very nice time at the DDC and we even add a few more green backs in our pockets. Thank you everyone for wishing us up the luck we had at the DDC. Cha Ching!


      We spent $200.00 dollars between us and we came home with $500.00, YES!!! It was a very relaxing overnight stay and we may do it again next month. We have the perks for the month of June and it includes another overnight stay.


      We had a very nice dinner at the buffet and we used our perks there as well. We stuffed ourselves for the price of $10.00 and man did we eat good. We were so stuffed we could not even hit the dessert area at all. We are going to use that perk again next month.


      We are going to go the movies this afternoon to see The Exotic Marigold Hotel. It has gotten good reviews and many of our friends recommended that we see it. Later in the evening we are going to El Parador for Mexican food and a margarita or two. Ole'

     It's a Hump Day!! How are you? I started the day off at 4:00am, just could not sleep. I began to care to Chris at 5:00am. Elise is not in her cave this morning so she will be up and about early this morning. Any plans for today?


     I have to visit my doctor's office this morning for some routine lab work. The coffee is good this morning and I am thinking Egg McMuffin for some reason, smile. I have to run out to the air base this morning to get a few items and gas up the Kia Spectra Grand Sport.


    Bobby will be here this afternoon to care for Chris while we are on our short stay-cation at the DDC. Well I had better get busy.Have a good Hump Day and stay safe.

      It has been a very good day, nice a quiet and restful. How was yours? I worked on my June calendar setting things up for next month. It will be a busy month indeed.


       Elise prepared breakfast for dinner this evening. It was really good. We had hash browns, eggs, toast, a rasher of bacon, and plenty of coffee. Are you full yet? We watched a few episodes of "Friday Night Lights" with Chris.


        I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is checking her email. I have finished packing my suitcase for our overnight at the DDC tomorrow. We are looking forward to resting, reading and pulling a few handles on slot machines. Wish us luck, OK?


       Well, I had better get back to work with Chris. Have a great night and a better tomorrow.

    It's a Tricky Tuesday! What's up? I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning and she is awake, can you believe that? Smile! She will be up and out on her way to the gym. Any plans for today?


    The coffee is good and a bowl of oats in on the menu for this morning. I have my suitcase out and ready to put a few items in for our overnight at the DDC tomorrow. It should be fun and relaxing for us. Bobby will be caring for Chris while we are away at the DDC.


    I have a few chores to get done around the house today and that is about it for me. Angelica will be here shortly to care for Chris. 


    Well, I had better get to it and get this day moving forward. Have a great Tuesday and be careful out there.

     Well the day is just about over. I took down the flag at 5:00pm to end this holiday. It has been a very good day and we got plenty of rest.


      Elise prepared corn on the cob for dinner along with diced tomatoes, baby carrots, lettuce, we got it all down with a nice fruit non-alcoholic drink, smile!


      We also watched a few episodes of "Friday Night Lights" with Chris. I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is catching up on her email.


      Well, I had better get back to working with Chris. I want to thank everyone who commented on our Murder Mystery Dinner. We had a very nice time and we may have another in six months or so. I had better get my suitcase out as well because we are going to use my perks for a stay at the DDC on Wednesday. Cha Ching! Maybe!

      How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but she will be up soon to start her day. Any plans for today?


      The coffee is good this morning and I think I will see what is in the fridge that looks good. I have no plans for today so I will just rest, relax and maybe catch up on a few things that are in my in-box, smile!


      Well, here is a bit of info about the Murder Mystery Dinner. Elise was a very good hostess and she guided everyone through the Mystery with ease. The plot was very good and it was Bubba the owner of the bar that got killed. So Sheriff Sissy Wesson began her investigation to try to get this crime solved. All of the players had a very suspicious background and many secrets.


     We were tested, and asked many questions. We even turned on each other as well. It was a regular I know you did it. Well, guess who the killer was? Yes, it was me the Reverend Jim Bob Eternity. We had hosted several of these Mystery Dinners and I turned out to be the killer in 90% of them. I cannot figure that out at all, I was the Reverend. Even my wife Mary Kay Eternity had a secret. She had a hidden porn site that I didn't have any clue about. Yes, the preachers wife was into porn, smile!


     We had a lot of fun going back and forth accusing each other of this crime. We are looking forward to our next one, and I will not be the killer this time for sure. I have posted some pictures of the characters and as you can see they all really got into it. Oh I forgot the food and the margaritas were great!

Howdy!!


We just returned from the "Eclectic Cafe" and let me tell you it was nice to sit outside and enjoy our breakfast. The food was excellent. Paula always poses some very thought provoking questions and she was in true form this morning. I am still thinking about an answer to the question, she is good!


I have posted some pics of what we enjoyed this morning for breakfast. I will be getting the post ready about the Murder Mystery Dinner a bit later. I want to make sure that you get all of the details and pictures of last nights throw-down, smile!


Elise is caring for Chris and I need to get a couple of chores done before I work on the next post. I know that you can hardly wait but I have to hold you in suspense just a little longer.

      It's a Sunday! How are you? I started the day of at 4:55am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is in her cave this morning but she is near the entrance so she will be up and about soon. Any plans for today?


      The coffee is good this morning. We are going out for breakfast this morning with Paula and Marty. We are going to the "Eclectic Cafe" we have not been there in quite awhile. Paula and Marty are going to pick us up. I am a bit hungry this morning, that maybe due to all of the margaritas we consumed last night at the Murder Mystery Dinner.


     Speaking of the Mystery Dinner,it was a huge success and everyone had a very nice time and everyone played their character very well. I want to give and huge thanks to Sheriff Sissy Wesson for being an excellent hostess. Putting on one of these calls for a lot of work and planning and Elise did me proud.

Well our Mystery Murder Dinner was a big hit. It went very well and we all had a lot of fun. I will give more on it tomorrow with pictures.

Well Elise got up at 9:00am and I got up at 9:30am. Can you believe that? Yes not at 4:45am but way after 9:00am. We are really resting like we said that we would.


We both slept so well it is not nothing short of a miracle. It goes to show why we need these "stay-cations".  We both had oatmeal for breakfast and coffee. I am reading a book and that is what Elise is going to do later.


It is about 11:30am and Elise took a 45 minute walk on the beach. The wind is really blowing and there are a lot of white caps. It is a very restful day.


We had a very nice dinner this evening. Amparo fixed it for us. We had shrimp ranchero, shrimp con ajo, and rice. It was fantastic. For dessert everyone had chocolate cake except for Elise.


Then we played more "Wizard" with Richie, Alda. Bucky and Dena. Richie liked the game so much that he wanted to buy the game from us so they could play it with friends. Yes, we sold it to them, and we will pick up another when we return to Tucson. We all played until around 9:00pm and we called it a night.

We were up at 8:30am this morning. And we lounged around. Elise took a walk on the beach for about 45 minutes. Bucky and Dena were off on a 6 mile beach walk. Elise returned and she got showered while I packed up the suitcases and loaded them in the Tacoma. Bucky and Dena returned and we said our good-byes and we thank them for a very nice time. It was a very restful trip and we needed it very much.


We got home and we unpacked the Tacoma and then we went to the Outback for a light dinner a Walla-B-Darn to cap of our stay-cation. Here are a few more pics from our stay.
