Howdy!

Howdy!

Well, I just took  sip of my banana, orange, peach and whey smoothie and it is so good. Delicious!

Angelica is here caring for Chris and that allows me to make another posting to our blog.

Here is a bit more about our trip to Gold Canyon to visit Elaine.

22 Feb 13

I am still messing around getting dressed. Elise is up and in the cucina with Elaine. They are preparing coffee and breakfast.

I finally show up and I get some coffee. Elaine has made me another smoothie and it is so good. She is really spoiling us to no end.

Elise had a avocado and cheese omelet. I had coffee cake along with my smoothie. Elaine had coffee cake and cantaloupe. It is all good.

Elise and Elaine took a walk and I declined. I just wanted to take in the view from the window. They returned and we began to play some more Mahjong. A couple of games. I won one of the games with one of the more difficult hands to make. I was amazed that I did it. Elaine won the second game. It is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it.

Well, it is time for us to get the Tacoma packed up so we can head back to Tucson. We had a wonderful time with Elaine and she is a magnificent hostess. We are looking forward to another stay-cation back to Gold Canyon very soon. Thank you Elaine.

We arrived back to Tucson and we stopped on Oro Valley to watch a movie. We saw the movie "Side Effects" and it was very good. After the movie we arrived in Tucson and we went to have dinner at "Cody's Beef and Bean". The food was delicious as always. We shared a large carafe of Burgundy of course! We both had salads and Elise got the T-Bone special with a baked potato and beans. I got the the Rib-Eye special with steak fries, and beans. It was all so good. We got home and we unloaded the Tacoma and we relaxed. That is how our stay-cation ended.

Carol, I checked and Oatman is still around.
Later.......Jessie and Elise

Thirsty Thursday!

Good Morning!

Mood: Cheerful (Cha Ching)

Music listening to: If It's Really Love by New Edition

It's a Thirsty Thursday. How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning but she is purring away. She will be up very soon heading for the gym. Any plans for today?

The coffee is great and my orange, banana, pineapple and whey smoothie is in the fridge waiting on me. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris.

Chris and Elise will be receiving a massage this morning. Rosemary will be here this evening to care for Chris. I am sure that Elise and I will be going to the movies this afternoon.

Well, Elise and I had a lot of fun last night at the DDC. They have a lot of new slots and we had fun giving them a go. We were not there that long because we wanted to get back to watch our Wildcats play USC. Sorry to say but they beat us. The Cats seemed a bit sluggish or something. We are hoping that they pick it up and win the next game.

Elise and I enjoyed our Jack and Cokes at the DDC, don't you know? Smile! We decided to play the dollar slot before we left the DDC and don't you know that was a good decision. Cha Ching! We spent $50.00 on the dollar slot and we came home with a total over $400.00 dollars. We spent about $200.00 between us and we were out the door with over double our money. Cha Ching! Woohoo! A good night at the DDC.

Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Enjoy the day and stay safe.
Later.........Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, Jet sisters get busy.

Loraine, yes we had a very nice time on our stay-cation. I am glad that you liked the pics.

Hello Again!

Elaine
Hello,

How are you doing so far? Well, I just got back from running all of my errands. Whew! I also set up a date and time to re certify my nursing certificates as well.

It is warming up just a bit and that is a good thing. It is 43 degrees now. Well, here is a bit more about our stay-cation with Elaine in Gold Canyon, Arizona. Enjoy!

21 Feb 13

We both slept very well last night after turning in at around 10:00pm. It is now 8:30am and Elaine is preparing us breakfast. You should see her she a busy bee this morning, but that is Elaine.

Elise had a avocado and cheese omelet that was super. I had a pepperoni omelet and a banana split ice cream smoothie that was delicious. Elaine is spoiling us big time. It is about 9:30am and our breakfast is done and Elaine and Elise are cleaning up in the kitchen.

Elaine is taking us on a road trip that sounds really exciting. We left the house at about 10:30am and we drove to Cottonwood, Arizona. On the way there it started to rain and it snowed us as well. The mountains were covered with snow and it was very nice.

We took the turn off to (Cornville) and we proceeded to two wineries. Javelina Winery was the first. We tasted 4 wines and we really like them so we bought a Merlot for $45.00.

Next we went to the Oak Creek Winery. We sampled more wine and we bought one of theirs. All of the grapes are grown right there.

Then we went to Page Springs Winery. We are still in Cornville. We had lunch at Page Springs and we sampled more wines. The lunch consisted of pizza, crostini's, it was all so good. We bought a few more bottle of wine here. We even got to keep our tasting glasses.

After lunch we are on our way to Jerome, Arizona. There was a lot of snow on the cars, houses, and cacti  because Jerome is at 5000 ft. It was foggy and cool because Jerome is a ghost towns.

We visited lots of gift shops and two wineries: Bitter Creek and Cadacious. We bought more wine at each one. Wow!

One of the places we went into was a shop where they sell nothing but kaleidoscopes. It was very cool! There were some kaleidoscopes that sold for $4000, and $5000 dollars. Wow, and no we did not pick up a couple of those, smile!

After more shopping and browsing around it was time for some dinner. We went to the Grand Hotel up on a hill overlooking Jerome and the valley. Originally the Grand was hospital. Jerome's mining kind of bit the dust and the town became a ghost, and  tourist town. It became the Grand Hotel with a restaurant called "The Asylum". Yep!

Elaine told me that dinner was on me and it was. So it be said, let be written, smile. Our dinner was expensive but well worth the cost.

Elaine and Elise shared a lamb dinner complete with mashed potatoes, veggies, and mint jelly. Elise also had a salad and Elaine had a squash soup. I had a salad and chicken with Alfredo sauce over spinach pasta. It was excellent. We all had Mojitos to get it all down. The Mojitos did the trick let me tell you. Elise and I had two of them. Excellent evening in Jerome.

We left the Grand and we are heading back to Gold Canyon. We got back at around 10:30pm, then we decided that it was game over. Thank you Elaine.

Here are a few pics of our adventure at the wineries and Jerome. Enjoy!

Tricky Tuesday!

Good Morning!

Mood: Sleepy

Music listening to: Joy by Teddy Pendergrass

It's a Tricky Tuesday! What is new? I started the day off at 4:00am due to Lampchop was having a bark-fest for some reason. Elise is not in here cave and the bark-fest did not seem to phase her at all, smile! I began to care for Chris since I was awake, but Chris was awake too! Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and needed badly. My banana, strawberry and whey smoothie is in the fridge waiting on me. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris. I have a couple of errands to run while she is here.

I did not get a chance to start posting about our stay-cation in Gold Canyon yesterday due to some puter problems that are hanging on this morning giving me fits, smile!

It is a cold 32 degrees this morning here in the Old Pueblo but it should warm up a bit by noon, at least I hope so. Well, here is a bit about our stay-cation in Gold Canyon, enjoy!

Cheers..........Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, Jet get up my sisters.

Loraine, glad that you liked the pics from the Murder Mystery Dinner. I must say that you were looking hot in the floppy hat, smile!

Jane and John, what are you up to today?

Shoo and Stu, have a great day.

Bobby, what are you up to?

20 Feb 13

We started our stay-cation by first by stopping at the emmissions station to have the Tacoma checked. After that we stopped for breakfast at Gus Balones. We ordered our usual. Elise had the ham steak with eggs and I had the grilled pork chops and eggs. Delicious! After breakfast we stopped on the airbase to fill up the gas tank and Elise got herself a soft drink for the road. We are on our way!

We were driving along nicely and it started to rain and the rain turned into snow. It was great! We were now driving through a snow storm with huge snow flakes, it was beautiful.

We arrived in Gold Canyon at around 12:30pm and we got to Elaine's at around 1:00pm. Elaine was sitting on her front porch when we pulled up. It was good to see her and she has not changed a bit.

Elaine is a very petite and easy on the eyes. A nice bit of eye candy I must say and she is very well packaged, smile! Just being honest is all!

We got the Tacoma unpacked and we settled in to our room. Elaine became the immediate hostess and she offered us snacks and drinks. We sat and talked for awhile and then it was time to play Mahjong. Elaine had to give us a quick refresher course on how to play again.

We played a few practice games and I won twice, yes I did. We started to play for real and for money and the tide began to change. Elaine was racking us over the coals but good. We played for several hours and it was a lot of fun.

After the game Elise and Elaine decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. I relaxed with a glass of red, don't you know, smile! They were gone for about 30 minutes and they said that it was a good walk but it was chilly. Elise said that it was absolutely beautiful out with the snow covered mountains.

I received a video of Sara (Saksek) Loraditch kids playing in the snow in their yard back in Tucson, it was way too cool. I shared the video with Elise and Elaine.

Elaine started to prepare dinner at around 6:30pm or so. Elaine served up some turkey breast, garlic mashed potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes with sugar and nuts, salad and homemade cranberry bread. We got it all down with few glasses of red. It was all good!

We sat around and talked for a bit and then it was time to call it a night. A very nice day with Elaine in Gold Canyon, Arizona.

Afternoon!

Afternoon!

What is going on? I just returned from Chris's wheelchair appointment and the services have been completed.

Now I will get Chris up and ready to start his day. Did you guess who the killer was? Well, the killer was Timothy Bleary. Yes, can you believe that?

This is about the forth or fifth Murder Mystery Dinner we have been involved in and I have been the killer three times. What?????? It was a lot of fun and we cannot wait until we have another one.

I will begin posting about our stay-cation with Elaine in Gold Canyon later today.
Cheers......
