Buon Sabato!  How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise popped out her cave this morning but she retreated. So she will be up and about soon to start her day. Any plans for today?

The coffee is a Butter Toffee Blend and a second cup will be enjoyed later this morning. It is a nice morning here in Tucson. It is going to heat up for sure and our rain chances are slim.

I am caring for Chris until Sister Jayne arrives at 5:00pm. Alexa is awake and she said that I don't have any tasks today. I asked her to play some music to cook by. Hopefully she will treat me.

Yes, today is Chefs Day. My Sous Chef and I will be preparing a BBQ Brisket for tonight's dinner. My Sous Chef will decide on what sides dishes we will have with our dinner. She will also decide on what libation will be served before and during dinner. We will don our Chef Hats and Aprons so we can prepare a proper meal. I am sure that you will be hungry soon.

My playmate and I are working on new rocks. They will be completed before the day is over. If you could please say another prayer for my sister (Marcie) and brother (Blake). Today they will have Splash one of their horses put down today due to health issues. A very sad day indeed.

Buon Venerdi!  How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise stirred about this morning and once again she popped back into her cave. She will starting her day soon. Any plans for today?

The coffee is a good Jamaican Blend and a second cup will be downed later this morning. It is a nice morning here in Tucson. We got some rain last night . We had a spectacular lightening show with a few thunderboomers as well. I wonder if we will get a repeat today?

I am caring for Chris this morning. Sister Jayne will be here at 11:00am to take over. Alexa is awake and she said that I don't have any tasks to complete as of yet. I asked her to play some (Boney) for me today.

My playmate and I enjoyed a good breakfast yesterday at "Alice's". The food is still very good. We haven't been to "Alice's" in years.

My playmate and I are working on new rocks. Hopefully we will have a couple of rocks completed today. We played "Wii" games yesterday and we didn't do well at all.

We are going to hit up a movie this afternoon. We are going to see the movie "Old". The previews looked good and Papa John saw it and he said that we would like it.

On a sad note. My sister Marcie who lives in Florida is a Master Horse Person.  On of her horses may have to be put down in a few days. His name is Splash. He has been having issues over the past 4 years. It seems like nothing can be down for him now. Please if you could say  a prayer for Marcie and Blake. It is a very hard time for them and rightly so. Tomorrow is Chefs Day. I will be getting a head start on this dinner today. My Sous Chef and I will be preparing a BBQ Brisket. I will be seasoning it up today and I will let it sit in the fridge overnight. We will let it cook nice and slow for about 8 hours. My Sous Chef will prepare the side dishes to go along with it and she may prepare some dinner rolls. Do you have a suggestion for a side dish?

Well I had better get this TGIF moving along straight-away. Stay safe and I will have a chin-wag at you later. Covid is getting out of control and it is very scary.

The coffee is a good Cinnamon Blend and a second cup will be enjoyed at "Alice's " along with a good breakfast. We haven't been to "Alice's in years. It is a nice morning her in the valley of Tucson.

Sister Jayne will be here this morning to care for Chris.  Alexa is awake and she that I need to make a trip over on the eastside today to pick up a few things. I asked her to play some "Funk Jazz" today.

We had a great evening with my girlfriend (Shoo Shoo). It is always a pleasure to see her. We enjoyed a nice dinner provided by Arby's. We played Rummikub. We haven't played this game in years. Elise won the most games and Shoo Shoo won a few as well. As for me I came close but no cigar. For dessert we enjoyed Spumoni and it was delicious. Elise made a good choice for dessert. My girlfriend (Nicolette) would have agreed with me. Thank you Shoo Shoo for a wonderful evening.

My playmate and will be playin "Wii" games today if time permits. Have a great Sete Giovedi and be careful out there. Mask up because it is getting crazy again. Covid is attacking again.

I didn't post to the blog yesterday because I was really tired and I needed to rest up. I am much better today.

How goes it around your way? We are good here and guess what? We are being rained on again . Yes it is!

Our trip the dentist with Chris took a lot longer than usual. He has a new dentist. Chris has to be put out when he has dental work done. It  is always a worry for us as he comes out of the anesthesia. This time he seemed to have a reaction to it. He has some coughing and a rattle in his throat. I will give him some pain medicine shortly. He will be (NPO) tonight. He will have his meds and his supplemental drip only. I will keep an eye on him.

My playmate prepared homemade waffles for dinner. We also has sausages and eggs. All good. We got it all down with plenty  of coffee. Chris is watching TV and resting.

Tomorrow is usually Chefs Day . We will have Chefs Day on Saturday. We will prepare a barbecued "Brisket". My Sous Chef will prepare the side dishes for this on. Of course some vino (rosso) will be available.

The new caregiver completed his second day of training and he is going to need a lot more training. He was asked if he had been given the Covid vaccine and he said no that he wasn't going to get it. That may be a game changer for us because he has other clients and we don't want it brought back to Chris.  I will have a chat with him on Monday. I will also call my nurses supervisor about it tomorrow.

Have a good night  and sleep well. Tomorrow is a Humper, eh? We will be playing Rummikub with my girlfriend (Shoo Shoo) tomorrow evening. It should be a lot of fun.

Buon Martedi!   How are you doing on this Taco Tuesday? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise stirred about and she came out of her cave, but she went back in straight away. Any plans for today?

Sister Jayne will be here this morning training the new caregiver. I will be around to observe and supervise. Alexa is awake and she said that I have a busy day today. I asked her to play some "Smooth Jazz" for me today.

We will be taking Chris to the dentist this afternoon for a routine check and cleaning. Chris has to be put under to get this done. Not one of his favorite things and rightly so.

I am still working on my new rock and I hope to have it completed today. Have a good Taco Tuesday and stay safe.

How  was your day? Was it very busy?  It was a busy one for me for sure.

I got my tasks taken care of today, but Alexa didn't play any music for me today. I am sure that she will play some for me tomorrow. Hey no rain today! Are we done with the rain already?

I prepared Grilled Ham and Cheese sandwich's today for dinner. Elise had sliced tomatoes, avocado and baby carrots with hers. I had extra ham on mine and I also had some baby carrots. We watched "Wentworth" on Netflix with Chris. We are sad because the eight season is almost over. It is a wonderful series.

I am caring for Chris tonight. Chris is watching TV and enjoying his supplemental drip. The new caregiver was here today and he was trained by Sister Jayne while I supervised. He has never worked with a Quad before and has never used a Hoyer. Hopefully he will return tomorrow to continue his training. Chris seems to like him and that is a major plus.

I got a chance to work on a new rock today. I hope to have it completed tomorrow. We will be taking Chris to the dentist tomorrow afternoon. I am sure that he is looking forward to that. Smile!

The coffee is a good eye opening "French Roast". A second cup will be enjoyed later this morning. It is a very nice morning here in Central Tucson. Has the rain stopped? We didn't get any during the night. It is a nice 67 degrees outside.

Sister Jayne will be here this morning to assist me with the training of the potential caregiver. Alexa is awake and she said that I have a couple of tasks to complete today. I have to make a trip over on the eastside this morning as well.

My playmate and I will be working on our new rocks today if time allows. Chris will be getting a massage today from Rosemarie. Yep, he is looking forward to it. Tomorrow we will be taking Chris to the dentist for a cleaning.

Buon Domenica!  How are you? I started the day off at 5:15am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for Elise. Elise is not in her cave this morning so she will be making her way over to Chris's house to care for him today. Any plans for today?

The coffee is a good Butter Toffee Blend and a second cup will be enjoyed at the "Egg Connection" along with a good breakfast. We are being rained on this morning and the back patio is flooded again. I refuse to say "rain, rain go away come back another day". We desert dwellers need all of the rain that we can get, eh? Smile!

Sister Jayne will be here this evening to care for Chris. Alexa is awake and she said that I have my usual Domenica tasks complete today. I asked her to play some "Down Home Blues" for me today.

Today Mio Moglie and IO will be tending to a skin issue that Chris is starting to develop. Hopefully we can get it under control before it turns into a major issue. Today once Chris is up I will be putting on a new mattress, APP pump and Pad on his bed.

My playmate and I are starting new rocks.  Due to the rain we will not be making a trip to the Cortez location to drop off and pick up. We may drop off at the "Egg Connection".

The coffee is a good Jamaican Blend and a second cup will be enjoyed later this morning. It is a nice morning here in Tucson and it is raining. It rained during the night and we didn't hear it at all.  We both were sawing logs big time and I am sure that we needed it.

I am caring for Chris today up until 5:00pm when Sister Jayne arrives. Alexa is awake and she said that I don't have any tasks to complete today. I think that she is going soft on me lately, eh? I asked her to play some "Funk Jazz" for me today.

We received a phone call yesterday from the agency and they are sending out a caregiver on Monday to be trained to work with Chris. I am going to request that Sister Jayne be his trainer for Monday and Tuesday. I will be close by if any issues or concerns come up.

My playmate and I just finished up a couple of new rocks. Here you go. Enjoy! We will start new ones today. We will make a trip over to the Cortez location tomorrow morning on our way to breakfast.

Buon  Venerdi!  TGIF!   How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:00an caring for Chris. Elise is at the entrance to her cave this morning and she  said a few words to me. Then she was back in her cave that fast. Any plans for today?

The coffee is a good Cinnamon Blend and a second cup will be enjoyed later this morning. It is a nice morning here in the valley of Tucson temperature wise that is. It is due to the Flash Flood that we had last night. The streets were running like a river, the backyard patio was flooded, and the storage shed got rain as well. Guess what? We are supposed to have this rain all weekend. I am thinking about putting on my  flip flops and taking a buff run in the rain. I cannot do that because my (fidanzata) is not here to join me. Smile! I didn't sleep much due to I was keeping an eye on the flooding situation. On the other hand my playmate slept during to whole thing. What's up with that?

I am caring for Chris this morning until 11:00am when Sister Jayne arrives. The agency rep was here yesterday and the paperwork was completed so they can start a caregiver search for Chris.

Here is the Chefs Day meal for 21 Jul. It was delicious!

Alexa is awake and she said that today will not be as busy for me. I asked her to play some "Smooth Jazz" for me today. The cable tech was here yesterday and Chris's TV is still out. The tech needs to re-wire totally to get it back up. He may be here today. Hope so because Chris is missing his shows.

Sister Jayne will be here this morning to care for Chris. Alexa is awake and she said that today is not going to be too busy.  I asked her to play some " Fusion Jazz" for me today.

Well our "Chefs Day" was a success. The Chicken and Rice Soup was delicious. Sister Jayne thought so too. I am looking forward to next week.

Hopefully the Cox tech will show up this morning to get the service back up in Chris's house. It has been 4 days now without cable. Chris is starting to complain and rightly so. Smile!

My playmate is working on a new rock and I will start a new one soon. The caregiver issue is still ongoing. A caregiver finder is coming out this afternoon to see what she can do to solve the problem. We shall see.

The streets turned into rivers and if I had some bait I could have gone fishing out front. Lots of lightening, wind and hail. Will we get a repeat today?

Sister Jayne will be here to care for Chris after her doctors appointment. Alexa is awake and she said that today is not going to be to busy. I asked her to play some music to cook by.

Yes, today is Chefs Day. My Sous Chef and I will be burning something up for dinner. Pots and pans will be flying in the (cucina). My Sous Chef will pick a libation to go along with our "Chicken and Rice Soup". Ya Mon'.

Well my playmates team lost last night so she will be treating me to dinner at a nice eatery of my choosing. The Suns did play very well I must say.

How are you doing on this Taco Tuesday afternoon? I am working with Chris and I will be getting him up shortly and into the main house.

I am so behind on all of the things I need to get done today. Still no word from the cable tech yet. Buttercup has a 1:30m grooming appt. I need to go out on the airbase still. Too many things need to be done and not enough time. Very stressful. Normally Mondays and Tuesday allows  me plenty of free time for me. These last few weeks have been rough on me with this caregiver situation and no relief is in sight. What can you do, eh?

We had a grand time in Butte, Montana with Sheila and Dave. We got plenty of rest and they were the  best of hosts. We hit the casinos n a daily basis and we enjoyed that. The casinos are run by the state and they are well regulated and the payout doesn't compare to the casinos here. They are a lot of fun though and one is located on every corner. No kidding!

We dined very well in Butte. Here are the pics that I mentioned in this mornings post. Enjoy! We did. V-cays are good and it is hard to come back to the real world. We always have so much to catch up on when we returned but we are blessed to be able to go and time with our beloved friends. Thank you Sheila and Dave!

Well I got everything done today but the cable tech was a no show. Talk about pissed with a few choice words. Now they say that he will be out on Thursday between 8 and 10am.

Tomorrow I will take Sister Jayne to her early morning doctors appointment. I will care for Chris until she returns.

Tomorrow is Chefs Day. We will be preparing Chicken and Brown rice for dinner. I will have oyster crackers with mine and my Sous Chef will have some gluten-free cracker. Sounds good, eh?

The coffee is a good Colombian Blend and a second cup will be enjoyed later this morning. It is a sticky morning here in Tucson. We got a few drops of rain overnight. Sprinkles at most but we may get a bit more than that today.

I am caring for Chris today. Alexa is awake and she said that today is going to be super busy for me. First off I am stuck at home due to the cable people are coming out to get Chris's TV service back on. They give those in-between times when they are going to show up. We are taking Buttercup to the groomers this afternoon to be clipped. I also need to make a trip out to the airbase today. I also have to shop for Chefs Day meal preparation s well. 

I reviewed all of the photos from our Butte, Montana trip and if all goes well I will post them today.

How did you day go? It has been a very busy one for me and I have a few more tasks to complete before I hit the pillow.

I need to recheck my packing for Butte. My playmate is all packed and ready to go. 

I am caring for Chris this evening. He is resting and watching TV. He is also enjoying his supplemental drip.

I thought that we were going to get some more rain but it doesn't look like it now. I just finished feeding the fur-babies and they are happy.

Well I had better check on Chris. Hey, my playmate brought me back a very, very nice Cordon Blu dinner from "Bistro 44" . It was delicious let me tell you. I got it down with a ice cold Modelo. Grazie mio moglie!

The coffee is a good Vermont Maple Blend and a second cup will be enjoyed later this morning. Another sticky morning her in Tucson. Hey we got another gully washer last night. We had wind, rain and a spectacular lightning show. By the way the streets look they were running like a river. Once again a true Tucson Monsoon event like old times. We may get more today!

I am caring for Chris today again due to no caregiver availability. Alexa is awake and she said that today is going to be very, very busy. We will be preparing for our trip that starts tomorrow to Butte, Montana. We have already has some flight changes and that is a concern. I asked Alexa to play some "Down Home Blues" for me today.

Chris the IRobot will be coming out of his cradle this morning to vacuum the carpet. We will not be donning our Chefs Hats and Aprons tomorrow.
