Morning

Good Morning,

Mood: Blissful

Music listening to: Love Child

How are you doing? Let the weekend begin, eh? Any special plans? I started today off at 5:30am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for the day. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning after she returns from swimming. I didn't sleep well at all last night, I tossed and turned. The night before I slept like a log floating down a river, go figure.

Elise and I had a very nice dinner at Delectables on Fourth Street. We both had the rib eye with mashed potatoes, salad and veggies. Yes, you know that we had a bottle of red to go along with the meal. We sat at a window table and we people watched and we watched the trolley go back and forth. Afterward we arrived at The Invisible Theatre and we saw a play that was very good and well done. The name of the play was Camping With Henry and Tom and Pres. Harding. It was about Henry Ford, Pres. Harding, and Tom Edison camping out together. They got stranded in the woods and lots of frustrations surfaced and the truth came out among them, their lives and goals. It was very good and the stage scenery was excellent.

We returned home and I checked on Chris after Marv the caregiver left for the night. We called it a night. A very good evening. We are going to watch our Wildcats play against Washington this afternoon. GO CATS!! Later in the evening after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris we are going to out for dinner at the Melting Pot. The Melting Pot is a fondue eatery that we love very much. Have a good day and stay safe.

Chin,chin........................

Good Morning Jeanne. Did you like the Amish bread that I made?

Rosemary, thank you for planting a flower for me, that was a very nice tag.

Monna, any plans for the weekend?

Steph, how are you guys doing?

Cher, thank you for the tag. Did you get the one I sent to you?

TGIF

Good Morning,

Mood: Happy

Music listening to: Square Biz by Tina Marie

How are you this Friday morning? TGIF, indeed. I started today off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting Gila monsters this morning and once one gets to close to her she will start her day. The coffee is on and I have my cup in hand waiting to fill it up.

Yesterday Tucson had it's 84th annual Rodeo parade near the rodeo grounds. It is the largest non-mechanized rodeo in the country. I have had the pleasure of participating in it when JT was a member of the roping team of the Tucson Boys Chorus a few years back. The schools close here for two days due to the rodeo activities.

Elise and I went see the International yesterday and it was pretty good, and I was dozing off a couple of times during the movie. I guess I must to have really been tired, eh? We returned home and Elise fixed a very nice dinner. We had cheese crisps, lettuce, tomatoes, tamales, salsa and jalapenos and a couple of beers. Great dinner. Our beloved Wildcats got beaten badly by Washington State, they didn't play well at all. We hope that they will do better on Saturday against Washington.

We are going to go out to dinner at a place called Delectables this evening and afterwards we are going to the Invisible Theatre to see a live play. It should be a good evening. Marv will be caring for Chris this evening. Do you have any plans for the this evening or this weekend?

Well, I had better get busy and get my coffee. I am going to attempt to make an Amish Freedom Bread today from a starter that Donna the massage therapist gave me to try. Wish me luck!

Later.........................

Good Morning Jeanne.

Marcie, now you have made me hungry.

Cher, thank you for the tags.

Ross, you are on a roll.

Sis, be good and have a great weekend.

Shirlene, where are my photos?

Good Night

Good Night,

It has been another good day here in Tucson, AZ. The weather is perfect. Chris and Elise got their massages today and now Chris is totally relaxed. Elise prepared a great dinner this evening with a little help from me, smile.

We had baked Tilapia in butter sauce, whole kernel corn, baby sweet peas, carrots and tomatoes. We washed it down with grapefruit juice and vodka, that did the trick. A very good dinner, very good. We watched another episode of As Time Goes By, and we are getting to the end of the series and that makes us sad. It is such a good BBC program.

I am taking care of Chris this evening and Elise is resting in the main house. We hope that your day went well for a Hump Day? Have a peaceful evening all.

Nite...................................

Good Night Jeanne.

Sis, it was good to hear from you today. I have no idea why you are getting those phone calls. We are still ongoing with JT's problem.

Joe, good to hear from you. Glad that you got your computer problems fixed.

How are you doing on the Hump Day? I started today off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting horny toads this morning, but she will be up and at it soon. The birds are chirping away this morning and the dogs are snoring.

I have to run to my office this morning to turn in some paperwork and right after that I will go to the air base to do a little shopping for a small trip to the cabin that we have in the works for sometime in March.

Elise brought back a very nice dinner for me when she returned from her book club meeting last night. I had Voodoo Pasta that was very, very good and very spicy. It has pasta, tomatoes, shrimp, Cajun sausages, and peppers. Good stuff! Well, I had better get to work and of course grab some coffee to get this Hump Day rolling. Have a wonderful day all.

Later..........................

Good Morning Jeanne.

Cher, how are you doing?

Herman, how are things going in St. Louis? Give our best to all.

Evening

Good Evening,

How has your day been? It has been another good day here in the Old Pueblo. We are on a roll, eh? The weather is great and I am thinking about breaking out the shorts and sandals to go along with my tee's that I am wearing now. I had better wait a few more days just in case we get a cold snap.

Brent arrived to care for Chris this afternoon and Elise and I ran a few errands. We stopped off at the doctors office prior to taking Chris to his chiro appointment. I had to leave Elise at the doctors office to meet Brent at the chiro office for Chris's appointment because it was taking longer than we had planed. Brent took Chris home and I went to pick up Elise at the doctors office. We headed to Costco to do a little shopping. We returned home and Elise fixed us a fresh squeezed grapefruit and vodka cocktail that was great.

Brent left for the day and I took over caring for Chris for the evening. Elise left for her book club meeting. I will be waiting for her return to see what she will surprise me with for dinner. After Chris is settled and rested I will call it a night and join Elise in the main house. We hope that your day went well?

Night all..................................

Good Night Jeanne.

Mary, it was good to hear from you today.

Ross, the project is on the way, thank you very much.

I have to run a few errands this today, I will complete one of them when the post office opens up. Later I will accompany Elise while she runs her errands this afternoon. After Brent arrives to care for Chris this afternoon we will take him to his chiro appointment along with Elise.

I am tossing around the idea of doing some private contracting in the health care field if some drastic changes take place in the next few months within Pima Health System my employer. At the present time I have the perfect job and I hope that I am just being cautious. Hey, I haven't had my coffee yet so I am going to grab a cup right now. Have a great day all.

How was your weekend? We had a very nice one and it was very restful. I started today off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is up and about this morning. The coffee is brewing and filling the house with hey wake up aroma, that is very inviting. It is a very pleasant Monday and the weather is great. It is supposed to hit the 90's today, and I guess it is time to break out the tees and shorts.

Our beloved Wildcats played a very good basketball last night against the ASU Sundevils but we lost by 2 points. It was a very good game indeed. GO CAT'S. Elise made a homemade pizza last night for dinner with pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, extra cheese and jalapenos. It was to die for and of course we had a couple of beers along with it. Also we had veggies, carrot sticks, celery sticks and ranch dressing for dipping. Before the game we watched a DVD called A Flash of Genius that was very good. We also watched a DVD called Black Orpheus about Carnival in Portugal. It was very good and the music was great.

Do you have any special plans for today or this week? I have to run to the tax office this morning to turn in some additional paperwork that is needed to complete the paperwork. Well, the coffee is beckoning for me to come and grab a cup, so I will. Have a wonderful Monday all.

The play was excellent as a matter of fact we believe that it was the best that we have seen since we have been going to the Live Theatre. The acting was wonderful and it deserved the standing ovation that the cast received.

After we left the theatre we went to Buddy's Grill for dinner. We shared a bottle of Shiraz, and Elise had the trout with a baked potato and veggies. Good Night,

We hope that your day was a good one? Chris's visit with my nurse supervisor went very well and Chris enjoyed it a lot. After Brent came this afternoon to care for Chris we went to the movies and we saw Taken and it was very good. After to movie we returned home and sat for a few moments before we left to pick up Elise's Mom to go out to dinner.

We met Lois, Lee, and Toni and we had a very good meal with margaritas, and I had a tequila sunrise that was really good. We returned home and Elise fixed us a margarita that was really good. We watched a DVD called Fireproof that was pretty good but a bit on the religious side. After Brent left I went over to check on Chris and Elise hit the sheets to read.

Overall it has been a good day and we hope that your day was a pleasant one as well.

Nite

Good Night,

It has been a very restful day here in the desert. Elise is still feeling affects of her dental work. She rests as much as she can but it is hard to keep her still because that is the way she is. It is a sure sign when she is not busy that she is not well.

Chris has a bit of a stomach virus and has had it for a couple of days, but other than that he is doing just fine. If he can pinch the girls he is doing just great. The weather today has been outstanding and is about 70 degrees right now.

Dependable services finally showed up to replace Chris's headboard this evening and now we will not have to worry about it collapsing while he is in it. He has been up in his chair since 10:00am this morning and that is a long time for him to be up. He was back in his bed at about 6:30pm. I did a little yard work today due to the weather being so nice and Chris enjoyed being out as well.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is playing bridge at her Mom's. Well, that just about sums up today events, so I had better get back to Chris. We hope that his Monday has been a good one for you all?

No plans for today except that we are going to watch our Wildcats play USC this evening. GO CATS!! Brent will be here this afternoon to care for Chris. Well, I had better get this day started and grab a cup of coffee. Have a good one.

Nite

Good Night,

How has you Hump Day gone? It has been a pretty fair day here in Tucson. Elise and I played a new game on the computer today that was a lot of fun. Elise prepared a very nice dinner of tamales, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, jalapenos, refried beans and of course plenty of cold beer, Excellent dinner!

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is catching up on filing paperwork a chore she hates with a passion. The winds have stopped and the day turned out to be a bit warmer and I hope that it continues. I am a bit upset that I didn't receive a notarized letter that should have been here by now. I hope that it shows up tomorrow.

Well, I had better get busy and get Chris settled for the night. Have a good evening all, stay safe. God Bless!

How are you this morning? I started today off at 5:30am caring for Chris. It is a brisk, cold morning here in Tucson. Elise is counting owls this morning and the dogs are glad to be indoors out of the cold. No plans for today, how about you?

The coffee is very good this morning and it is doing the trick of warming me up. I think I will have some toast along with it this morning. I want to thank everyone who responded to the 2009 list and the Bucket list as well. I enjoyed your answers very much and it shows that we all have many things in common with each other.

I had better get going and see what Chris is complaining about. He and Elise will be getting a massage later this evening. Have a good Hump Day all.

Morning Jeanne.

Good Night

Good Night,

We hope that your day went well? It is still cold here in Tucson and the wind is still blowing. It is supposed to be in the lower 20's tonight with the possibility of snow and frost.

We went to our tax appointment this afternoon and that went well. Afterward I took Elise's Mom back home and then Elise and I went to Starbucks for some Frappacino's. They were great! I am caring of Chris this evening and Elise is at her Mom's playing bridge. I hope that it warms up real soon, this is not Tucson weather at all.

We had breakfast for dinner this evening. Elise prepared homemade blueberry waffles that were fantastic. We had sausages and of course good hot, steamy coffee. Well, I had better get back to Chris. Have a great evening all.

Nite.............................

Good Night Jeanne.

Steph, so good to hear from you today. Hang in there with the workouts, the pain will stop soon, smile.

Claudia, things are no better at all, they seem to be getting worse.

Good Morning

How is everything going this morning? I started today at 5:40am caring for Chris and getting his day started. I have my coffee right next to me and it is very good. Elise is up and out swimming this morning. It is a cold morning here in the Old Pueblo. We are going through a mixed bag of weather lately. It was windy last night and it rained as well. It is supposed to get colder tonight and stay that way for a few days.

It is also supposed to snow in the mountains and we may get some down here in the valley. No plans for today except that I have to run to my office to turn in some paperwork and we are going to have our taxes done this afternoon when Brent arrives to care for Chris. We may stop in at Starbucks and that will be a treat for us. Well, I had better get busy and tend to Chris. Have a great day everyone.

Later....................

Morning Jeanne.

Erika, so good to hear from you guys. Say warm in Germany.

Mary, how are you doing?

Hello

Hello Everyone,

Mood: Cautious

Music listening to: Jazz Melody

How has everyone been doing? We are good here in a very cold Tucson. We have rain, wind, snow the works. Not typical Old Pueblo weather. We have been very busy the last few days and that is the reason for no blog entries. We missed you guys let me tell you.

On the 24th of Jan 09 we left for Apache Junction, AZ to visit with Elaine and Esteban. We stopped off at Cracker Barrel for breakfast. We stopped in to see JT in Tempe on our way to visit Elaine and Esteban but he was not at home. We arrived at Elaine's at around 2:30pm and we had to get out of our sweatshirts because it was 80 degrees outside.

Elaine got home from work and Esteban followed right behind her, it was good to see them. We talked for a bit and then we had dinner that Esteban prepared just for me. He prepared enchiladas because I love them so much. They were the best I have ever had. We also had chili that Elaine made it was great. Esteban had beer with his meal and Elise, Elaine and I shared a bottle of Flying Fish Merlot that we love a lot. After dinner we sat outside by the fire and talked and gazed at the stars. It was a great evening.

We got up the next day and Esteban and Elaine had left for work but they had made a pot of coffee for us. Elaine also made a quiche and some homemade bread for us for breakfast. Afterward we took a walk around the area and we looked at the homes there. We packed up the pickup and we went by to see if JT was at home and he was not so we left another note for him. We headed for Cave Creek, Arizona.

We checked into our hotel and we had a couple of Jack and cokes before we got dressed for the wedding reception. We played a few computer games as well while we were waiting to depart for the reception. We arrived at the reception and it was very nice. We met Erin and her husband Nathan. The reception was held at a place called Blowfish a Teppan/Sushi place. The food was very good. We had calamari, shrimp, sushi, fried rice and all of the wine we could handle. I was driving so I had to set a limit. We a lot of people and got to see many people that we have not seen in quite a while. It was a lot of fun.

We left Tempe at 11:00am after taking a a walk and having breakfast at Denny's. We left for Tucson and we stopped along the way at a Mall so Elise could buy a new watchband at Targets. We arrived back in Tucson and we unpacked and we went to the movies the see Revolutionary Road with Di Capprio and Kate Winslet it was very good. Afterward we went to Oreganos for pizza and wine and we topped that of with a Bellini each that was great. It was a good trip but not as relaxing as our trips are. I was a bit hectic trying to catch JT to talk about his problems.

Since we have been back we have been very busy with a variety of things that need to be done. It is always good to go on these short trips but it is always a pleasure to come back home. We missed you guys very much!!
