How was you Monday? Things went well around these parts. I got my errands taken off and Chris and I spent a little time outside today just chillin'. The weather had us thinking about short sleeves and shorts. Just thinking about it is all, smile.

Chris and I watched a few episodes of South Park, he really loves it. Elise prepared a nice soup for dinner, with a cheese sandwich, baby carrots, tomatoes and red peppers. We got it all down with some couple of glasses of Crystal Delight.

Elise is playing bridge with friends and I am caring for Chris. So, I had better get back to work. Have a wonderful evening and enjoy.

It's Another Monday! How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is once again in her cave but she will be up and moving forward soon. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and so are the oats this morning. I think I will have a donut to go with my next cup of coffee. The weather has been very nice here in Tucson and it is suppose to continue to be so for the next week or so. Our highs have been in the 70's and the lows in the 40's.

We had a very nice breakfast at Teresa's with Paula and Marty yesterday. The food was very good and they have remodeled and it looks very good and roomy. My Huevos con Chorizo was very good and the tortillas were fantastic.

Later in the evening we watched DVD's with Chris and we watched another episode of Mad Men. Elise prepared a dinner that was outstanding. She fixed Cornish hens, a blended rice and diced tomatoes. We got it all down with a few glasses of red. A very good meal!

After Rosemary arrived to care for Chris we went to the "Loft" to see the movie "The Way" with Martin Sheen. It was excellent. We have seen some very good movies lately. We returned home and Elise hit the sheets to read and I checked on Chris before I picked up my Kindle to read a bit myself.

I have a few errands to take care of this morning but other than I will be taking it slow and easy. Have a good day and stay safe.

Cheers...........Jessie & Elise

Tiger,Marcie, Jet have a good day.

Jane and John, be careful.

Good Morning

Mood: Relaxed

Music listening to Funky Cold Medina by Tone Loc

How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:00am looking in on Chris. Elise is awake but I am sure that she will re-enter her cave for a few more minutes before she gets up to care for Chris. Any plans for today?

The coffee is very good this morning and another cup is sight. We are going to meet up with Paula and Marty at "Teresa's" for breakfast this morning. Can you say Chorizo? I can and I will, smile.

We enjoyed watching our Wildcats play basketball yesterday even though they lost by a mere point. The Chinese food that we had for dinner was excellent and there were no leftovers. I guess it must to have been the tonics that we had along with the food that made it disappear, eh?

We really enjoyed the play "39 Steps" it was excellent and very funny. The staging and effects were great and it even presented a cameo appearance of Alfred Hitchcock himself. We would recommend this one to everyone, you will not be disappointed one bit.

Later this evening after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris we are going to the movies to see "The Way". Well, I had better get busy and check on Chris. Have a good Sunday and a great up coming week.

Cheers...........Jessie & Elise

Weekend Is Here!!

Good Morning

Mood; Rested, relaxed

Music listening to Lay Down Sally by Eric Clapton

It's The Weekend. How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:ooam looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is up and getting ready to head for the gym. Any plans for today?

John will be here shortly to care for Chris this morning and Rosie will be here later in the evening to take over. The coffee is good this morning and so are the oats. It is a cool morning here in the Old Pueblo but it is supposed to warm up into the 70's.

We had a very nice peaceful, restful stay-cation at the Courtyard Marriott thanks to the great rates gotten by my brother Herman. We took no pictures at all it was just a time to rest and relax. We devoured my famous tuna-jalapeno dip with Frito scoops.

We played games on the laptop for hours and we watched some TV. We even went to the DDC to play the slots for a short while and that was fun because we won a few greenbacks. Of course we had plenty of Jack on Cokes on hand throughout the stay-cation.

We meet up with our daughter Kim at Claim Jumper for dinner and it was good to see her and to hear what has been going on in her life. It was a very good stay-cation but it did have a snag. Someone took the license plate off the Tacoma, yes they did. We noticed it after we came out of the Crossroads Theater. We went to see the "Machine Gun Preacher" it was a very good movie. So we notified the police and now we cannot drive the Tacoma until the new plate arrives in a few days. We also saw the movie "Shame' at the Loft. It was a very good movie and strange about a guy who has a out of control sex addiction.

We also had our morning breakfast's at Bob & Jerry's and at Denny's. Today we will be watching our Wildcats play Washington in a White Out game. The Cat's beat Washington State badly on Thursday night. We listened to it on the radio because it was not on the TV at the Courtyard.

We will be having Chinese food while we are watching the game this evening. We are also going to the Arizona Theatre Company to see the play "39 Steps" a Alfred Hitchcock thriller that has gotten rave reviews. We are looking forward to it.

Well, I had better find something to get into. Elise is reading a bit before she starts to work on her memoirs. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.
Later..........Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie, Jet have a good one.

Herman, thank you so very much for making our stay-cation fun.

Jane and John, what it new?

Shoo and Stu, have a good one.

Rosie, good to hear from you.

Music listening to: Tango by David Beniot

Hump Day! I am back! How are your doing? I started the day off at 5:05am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave but she will be up and on the move very soon. This virus that has had a hold of me is finally setting me free and I am glad of that. It was very nasty! I still have a cough but other than that I am doing much better. I am very glad that Elise and Chris did not get it. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and hot this morning. Elise and I will be going out to Gus Balones for breakfast this morning. After breakfast we will load up the car and we will be heading out for our stay-cation here in Tucson. We will return on Friday afternoon. Another Monday! I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is still in her cave this morning and she is as quiet as a mouse sneaking up on the cheese, smile. She will be up shortly to begin her day. Any plans for today?

Well, the java is good and hot this morning and it feels good going down. This cold that I have has my ribs aching from coughing so much. I will be glad when this cold departs from me that is for sure. I have no plans set for today so I plan on taking it slow and easy.

Elise and I went to see the movie "The Artist" it was very good and well done. It was a silent movie like those back in the day. We would recommend that you get out to see it. We had a very nice evening at Zemans for dinner, thank to Paula and Marty.

The food was extra good this evening and we enjoyed the company of Paula and Marty, Stu and Shoo Shoo. I want to say sorry to you all for not feeling well, I usually don't get sick but when I do it hits me hard and rough. We are looking forward to our next visit to Zemans with the crew.

Tomorrow we will pack up for our stay-cation here in Tucson. It will begin on Wednesday afternoon. We will be at the Fairfield Inn and Suites over on the north-west side of Tucson. We will be there until Friday afternoon. John will be caring for Chris while we are away, and we are looking forward to the rest.

I have a couple of errands to take care of this morning after breakfast. We are going to go to the movies this evening after Rosie arrives to care for Chris.

We had a very nice day yesterday, it was peaceful and relaxing. Elise prepared a great dinner as well. We had deep fried Tilapia, and fries, it was so good. We got it down with a bottle of the bubbly and that is always a plus in my book.

We watched Beauty and the Beast on blue ray with Chris and he loved it. After Angelica arrived to care for Chris we watched a DVD series called "Downton Abbey" it is very good. It is about the class differences between the upper class and the servants. I have to tell you that the butler is always in charge, smile.

I have come down with a nasty head cold and it is no fun let me tell you. Have a great Sunday and enjoy!

Cheers...........Jessie & Elise

The coffee is good and the bowl of oats hit the spot. John will be here at 8:00am to care for Chris and Angelica will be here at 1:00pm to care for Chris instead of Rosie due to she is ill.

I have to run a couple of errands on the air base this morning and that is all I have planned for today. We are going to hang around here and watch a DVD and get ready for our Wildcats to play Colorado in basketball. Go Cat's! They did a very nice job of beating Utah a couple of days ago. Tilapia fish fry with french fries for dinner. I can hardly wait for it, smile.

We had a very nice time at Colors last night with Nicolette and a couple of her friends. Elise and I had our Jack and Cokes as usual. After Colors Elise and I went to the Live Theatre Company to see the play "All My Sons" and it was excellent. It was given a standing ovation that was truly deserved. We would recommend it everyone. It was by far the best play that was put on this season for the LTW. It was powerful and it left many viewers in tear to include Elise.

After the play we went to Applebees for dinner, and the food was very good. Elise and I shared some boneless hot wings that were really good. Elise ordered potato skins and a bowl of red beans and rice. I ordered the stacked chicken Parmesan over fettuccine. It was great. We shared a bottle of red, don't you know? We returned home and Elise hit the sheets to read and I checked on Chris. I followed suit and hit the sheets to. It was a good evening.

Well, I had better get the Tilapia ready for this evening. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.

What's Up?

Howdy,

What's up? I just got back from my doctors appointment and all is well. I got a Whooping cough/Tetanus shot while I was there. My lab report came back very good. The doctor was concerned that my BP was up this morning and she wanted to know if I was stressed or having some major worries. I put it on doctors office anxiety, smile. So she added a new med for me to take, oh no not another pill, smile.

I will also get a Shingles shot as well, if our insurance will cover it. They didn't before. I am starving, are you? I didn't have my oats this morning so I had better find something to eat right now.

We had a very nice time last night at Red Sky with members of Elise's book club. The food was excellent and the vine was too! As I chowed down I listened the the members talk about books that they have read and they selected a book to be read prior to the next meeting. The next book is called The New Jim Crow. It is a very good book and it should be required reading for high school students. It opened my eyes about many things that I just did not know about.

We are going to the Egg Connection this morning for breakfast. We had a very nice dinner at the Blue Willow last night and the food was very good. We started off with a bottle of red and Elise had a salad and I had a Cajun black bean soup. For the entree Elise had salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies. I had the meat loaf with BBQ sauce and mashed potatoes and veggies. For dessert we shared a gluten free brownie.
After dinner we went to the Berger Center to see John Amos in a one man play and let me tell you it was excellent and he deserved the standing ovation that was given. John Amos played the dad on TV show "Good Times" he played the part of James Evans. He is also noted for his role in Roots as well.
This show brought back a lot of memories for me and my childhood. For example taking Castor oil for just about anything that ailed you. The reference to ( It takes a Village), is nothing new because back in the day when I was growing up you were watched, looked after and even disciplined by not only your parents but the neighbors took care of things when you parents were away. Your neighbors were given license so to speak to do so from my parents. I also remember about how much fun a cardboard box would be compared to what kids want today. Those were some good old times, indeed!
We returned home and Elise hit the sheets to read and I checked on Chris to make sure that he was good to go. I joined Elise and I got out my Kindle and a read a chapter or two of my book. Soon it was lights out. It has been a very good day. Well, I had better get busy and find something to do. We may go to the movies this evening after Rosie arrives to care for Chris. Have a good Sunday.
