Ciao!

Ciao!

How are you doing? Better than I am at least I hope so. The hat is out and for a good reason. Ya Mon'.

We were making our way to the lab for Chris's work up and Elise called from the lab saying that it is closed. The  hours are from 8am to 11:30am. Chris has been fasting for this visit and we got him up early to boot. Yes, the hat is out and on. So we had to take Chris back home and Jayne started to care for him.

It is going to be about 104 degrees today and I am going to try to stay indoors as much as possible.

Here is a bit more about our trip to LA. Enjoy!

Today is Elise's mom's birthday. She would have been 104 years old if she were here.

Elise slept well and I slept so-so. We noticed that no dish cloths and no wash cloths here so we will venture out to buy some and some coffee as well. Coffee was available but we wanted our own. We went to Sprouts to make those purchases. We are going to find a place to have breakfast as well.

Elise's face on her left side was swollen and all puffed up for some reason. Not sure why but we will keep an eye on it. Jayne texted us last to say that she helped Rosie get Chris in bed. He was soaked as his catheter had come off.

We stopped at a place called "Blue Jam" for breakfast. The food was very good. We both had omelettes, ham and cheese with jalapenos. Elise had avocados in hers. We also enjoyed home-made sourdough bread, potatoes, and we shared a French Press coffee. Delicious. Expensive at a cost of $50.00 with tip.

BLU-JAZZ

We are staying in a middle class area but we have never seen so many people driving Mercedes, Teslas and Bentleys. We figured that they could afford them but could not afford the houses in another area. Houses are so expensive here it should be criminal. We are a few blocks from were Zack used to live and it is a one bedroom that is renting for $2500.00 per month. Criminal!

We are having a problem with our Direct TV in our apartment so we are waiting on the owners son who is about 11 or 12 years old to come by to fix it. The owners are Jewish and we are located in a Jewish area. A very nice area.

We met up with Zack again at the movies. We walked the movies this time about a mile and a half away. We ordered popcorn and drinks. We watched the movie "Yesterday". It was very good.

After the movie Zack wanted to show us were he is living in a group home. We walked to Laurel Canyon which was about 2 miles away. We were drenched in sweat when we got there because it was so hot. We met the house manager and a few of the residents.

AT ZACK'S HOME

We left the home and we went out for pizza at "Vito's Pizza". It was New York style and very good. We spent a little time there just eating and talking about many things. We called a Lyft and we made our way back to our apartment. We called it a day and we just chilled so we can be ready for tomorrows adventures.
