Wake Up!
Well, Elise is up and about but she is moving a kind of slow, smile! Chris is relaxed and listening to Toni Braxton on his radio. So that frees me up to post more about our trip to Firenze. Enjoy!

We slept pretty good last night and now it is time to start our day. We went through our normal morning routine and then we headed for Boboli Gardens. It is now 10:00am.
We stopped at a trattoria for a light lunch. Yes, we had panini's and beer of course we did. We entered the gardens and it is beautiful. We ventured inside of some of the buildings and we saw painting, sculptures, dresses from long past eras and strangely enough we saw a fantastic Indian exhibit that was very educational. A good start to our day.
We left the Boboli Gardens and we began our hike back to the B&B. If you haven't guessed it already we got lost again. We did not consult our map while we were walking. We had wondered into a farm yard, (with rows of veggies and grapevines).
We knew that we were in trouble!! We consulted our map and we realized that we were way out of the path back to the B&B. We had already climbed many steps at the Boboli Gardens and now we had steep hills to climb. Sheesh!
We walked and walked . Finally, we arrived at our street. Before we went inside of our B&B we stopped in a store and we got two giant Moretti beers that cost 1.50 euros apiece and we took up to the room. We are bushed.
We rested up and relaxed and we downed our beers. It was so refreshing let me tell you. Later at around 5:30pm we decided to go out for some dinner. We decided to go someplace that didn't involve a lot of walking. Can you blame us? Smile!
We went to the Trattoria Maso on the corner of via Finiquerra and via Pallazuolla. It is about 20 steps from our B&B. We ordered a bottle of Chianti Classico that was good but not as good as the Chianti Classico Ruffino Reservo.
Elise ordered a prosciutto pizza and I ordered a calzone with mozzarella and prosciutto. Elise said that my calzone was much better than her pizza. Many of the patrons of the trattoria were gazing at the size of my calzone. It was huge.
It started to rain while we were in the trattoria. We were sitting outside under the canopy. We were sheltered from the rain and it was fun people watching. A guy came by selling umbrellas and Elise bought a small one. We already had one,so know we each had our own. It cost 5 euros.
For dessert we had 2 limoncellos apiece. Yummy! Good thing we were only a few steps from our B&B because we could barely walk, good thing the rain had stopped. Prior to eating dinner Elise went into a Farmica to get some blister bandages for her foot because all of that walking and hill climbing had caused a problem for her. After we were back inside of our B&B it started to rain pretty good. That made for a very good night of sleep, and we did.
