Evening

Good Evening

Well, the day has been a pretty quiet one here in Tucson. I had to run an errand and I cleaned out the shed and I did a little picking up in the front yard were Elise left off.

We had a early dinner that Elise prepared that was very good. We got it all down with a couple of Cobre Libra's that hit the spot. We watched a DVD called "The Oath" it was very good. It was about Osama Bin Ladin and his followers and about the trials at Guantanamo Bay.

We are going to go to the movies this evening at the "Loft" we haven't been there in a while. Rosemary will be caring for Chris this evening. Now here is a how our stay cation went in Safford.

18 May 11

We started it by going to Gus Balones for breakfast and let me tell you it was very good. We stopped at the air base to get gas and to pick up a restocking of Jack Daniels, yes we know Jack, smile.

We arrived at our hotel at around 12:30pm and we checked in and we settled in. We stocked up on plenty of ice for our Jack and Cokes, don't you know? We played a few computer games on the laptop and we devoured our tuna jalapeno dip. Boy was it good. We totally rested and we watched a little TV as well. We also listened to a book on CD that we brought along. It was getting to be around 9:00pm and we called it a night. Can you believe that?

19 May 11

I was up and at it at 7:00am. Elise was still counting sheep. Yes, I said 7:00am. Really strange for me, eh? I fixed a pot of coffee and that woke Elise up to start her day. Elise took a walk and she checked what the hotel had to offer for breakfast. Nothing to our liking so we went to a placed called "Jerry's". We have been here before on one of our previous stay cations. The food was great and plentiful.

We drove by the theatre to see what was showing later in the evening. We stopped at Walgreen's to pick up a few things before we returned to our room. We listened to the book on CD some more and we looked over crossword puzzles. We watched a little more TV and then we headed out for Kachina Hot Springs for a total body massage and soaking. We got there and the therapists were waiting on us. We got into the hot springs and let me tell you that felt great. After about a 15 minute soaking we got on the massage tables and the therapists went to work from head to toe. After that we were back into the hot spring for another 15 min soaking. At that point I was in need of a nap and I am sure Elise was as well. WE got back on the table and we were wrapped up like mummies and wow, does not describe it. While we were wrapped we had our feet massaged and if you have never had one of those, you are really missing out. After the unwrapping we headed back into he hot spring fro our final soaking before we got dressed. It was great.

We headed back to our room and chilled for a few minutes. Then we left for "La Manana" for dinner. The food was wonderful and served up very quickly. After dinner we stopped at the hotel for a quick Jack pick me up and then we headed for the movies. We saw " Bridesmaids" it is of the funniest movies that we have seen in a long time. Laugh after laugh. We recommend that you see it as soon as you can. It is so good that I we are going to buy it when it comes out on DVD, it is that good.

We returned to our room and we listened to more of the book on CD with a few more Jacks of course. It go to be around 9:00pm again and you guessed it, it was game over again. A very good day.

20 May 11

I was up again at 7:00am and I put the coffee on. Elise did no wake up this time from the aroma of the coffee. She woke up at 8:00am and started her day. We got dressed and we went across the street to the Manor House for breakfast. It was pretty good and the coffee was great. We returned to our room and we began to pack up for our drive back to Tucson. We checked out at around 10:30am and we hit the road. We could see the smoke from the forest fire on top of the mountains,it was burning pretty good.

We arrived at home at around 12:30pm and we unloaded the Tacoma. We took a short break and then we went to the movies to see"Cave of Forgotten Dreams in 3D. It was spectacular. After the movie we went to " Oreganos" for dinner. We shared a bottle of red, very hot,hot chicken wings and a delicious thin crust pizza. For dessert we had one and a half Bellini's, that were excellent. We returned home and Elise hit the sheets to read and I watched a little TV until Marv left for the night. I then checked on Chris and then I called it a day. That was our stay-cation.Very relaxing and lot's of fun. We are looking forward to our next outing next month to Seattle,Washington for a couple of days to visit Susie, Roy and wife, and to see a grown up Adam.

Well, I had better get ready for the movies for this evening. Have a great night and enjoy.

Cheers..............
