How are you this Monday morning? I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is still climbing Mt. Lemmon this morning and as soon as she runs into a bear or two she will start her day running, smile. Any plans for today?

Chris will be visited by one of his case manager's early this morning so I have to make sure that he is ready. The coffee is good and hot this morning and I am thinking about a sausage biscuit to go along with it. I was posting to our blog last night and the site was not working right so I will post this morning about our trip to Puerto Penasco,Mexico.

We had a very nice breakfast out with Mum yesterday at IHOP. Later in the day we watched our Wildcats beat North Carolina State at basketball, a good game. Later in the evening after Rosemary arrived to care for Chris we picked up Mum and she treated us to dinner at Marie Callender's one of her favorite places to eat because she loves their chicken pot pies. We returned home and Elise hit the sheets to read and I watched TV until Rosemary left for the night. I checked on Chris and I called it a night as well. We listened to the last part of a book on tape and we started another one.

Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a great day and take it slow and easy, it's a Monday!

Later..............

Here is a some of what went on in Puerto Penasco,Mexico.

15-Dec-10

We left home at round 8:15am,but we we did not start out right away. We got a call from Bucky saying that had a business matter to take care of before he and Dena could leave. So we stopped for breakfast at Gus Balone's, it was packed with people and we had to wait for a table to open up. After we were seated we ordered coffee, of course. Elise ordered eggs, ham and potatoes. I ordered eggs, pork chops and potatoes. We received our orders and my pork chops were huge the biggest that I have ever seen at Gus's. Elise's ham was huge and it was very good.

After breakfast we stopped on the air base to get gas for the Tacoma. Later we stopped at a Circle K to get a fountain drink for Elise and we were on our way. We listened to a book on tape called "The Naked Detective" and it is a good one. We stopped in Why, Arizona to get Mexican insurance and we filled up the Tacoma before we crossed into Mexico. We got to their beach home and they must to have passed us while we had stopped for insurance because they were there unpacking their SUV.

We unloaded and and we got our room in order and of course to complete that task we had to have a Jack and Coke or two. Elise and I we know Jack very well, smile. We joined Bucky and Dena out on the patio and we talked and we gazed out at the Sea of Cortez. We began to eat some of my famous tuna/jalapeno dip and Bucky opened up a bottle of red to go along with it. Buckey was drinking a white.

After sitting out on the patio for a while Bucky went inside and he began to prepare dinner for us, he is a good cook. He called us in to dinner and what a treat that was. We had pasta with fish and calamari, and fresh grated cheese. It was fantastic. After dinner we played Hearts and we talked about politics, which is not a good subject to bring up due to so many mixed beliefs. It was headed toward a heated discussion so we veered away from subject. We laughed and we argued and it made for a great evening. We consumed at least 5 bottle of vino during the night so you can imagine we were having a grand time.

Dena wanted to set up a fishing trip for tomorrow but the sea was rough and Elise does not do well when the boat is sitting still and rocking so to I declined because I wanted Elise to come along. We may go back in the near future to see the whales at sea. We called it a night.

I will try to post a movie that I took looking out on the Sea of Cortez if it is not to large to post. Our first day in Mexico was a blast.
