Happy New Year!

Good Morning!

Mood: Blessed!

Music listening to: You Are The Sunshine Of My Life by Stevie Wonder

Happy New Year! I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but she is at the entrance so she will be starting her New Year very soon. Any plans for today?

The first thing I did on this New Years Day was to exit the house via the backdoor and I came back in the house via the front door. By going out the back door I let go of last year and by coming in the front door I welcomed the New Year and all of the luck that will follow.

The coffee just finished brewing and the first cup of the year is exceptional. The winter storm is still with us. It is cold and raining. Brrrrrr!

Elise and I said our goodbye's to Susie and her daughter. They left yesterday making their way to El Paso, Texas. I got a Skype message this morning saying that they made it there safely.

Elise and I had our traditional dinner last night of black eyed peas, ham, cornbread, and a bottle of champagne. It was delicious. We will have more of the same today.

We are going to visit with our good friend Marsha later this evening for a short New Years Day gathering. I will be good to see Marsha.

Well, I had better kick start this New Year by getting busy. Have a great New Years Day and we wish you the very best. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris and Rosemary will be here this afternoon.
Later...Jessie and Elise
