Beware It's A Monday!!

Good Morning

Mood: Cautious

Music listening to: Straight Up by Paula Abdul

How are you doing? Well, it is a Monday so be very careful out there. I started the day off at 5:40am caring for Chris. Elise is engine is running at an idle but she will be running full steam ahead soon. The coffee is nice and hot this morning and I am thinking toast and jelly.

We had a very nice evening out with Nanci and Jeff at the Red Lobster. It is always a pleasure to see them and to hear about what has taken place at their property in New Mexico. The food was very good at Red Lobster and we shared a bottle of red. We also gave them a Christmas gift that we had made for them last night. It was a personalized sign for the property and it turned out very well and we believe that they liked it very much.

Well, as promised in the previous posting here is a bit of info on our very short staycation at the Hilton East.

We checked in at about 3:oopm and we unpacked and I hit the ice machine for ice for you guessed it Jack and Cokes. We decided to take a short walk before we hit the Jack and we ventured around the area that surrounded the Hilton. We returned and it was Jack's all around. We played games on the laptop for a few hours before we left for dinner.

We had dinner at a place called Thirsty's. It is a place that Elise's plays bridge at quite often. Thirsty's was packed with people and that is a good sign in this economy. The food was very good and it was a bit noisy due to the Dallas Cowboys were on the TV's. We had a couple of Jack's while we eat our dinner. We returned to the Hilton and we continued to play games on the laptop until around 11:00pm and we called it a night. I believe the Jack's had caught up with us.

I got up at around 7:30am and I put on the coffee and Elise was still guiding ships in to a foggy port. The aroma of the coffee got her to stirring and she needed a cup. Elise said that she had way too many Jack's and she was feeling it. We got dressed and we went to pick up Elise's Mum for breakfast. We returned to the Hilton for breakfast and it was pretty good. Elise's Mum had Belgium waffles and we had the buffet that came included with the stay there.

We took Elise's Mum home and we went to El Con Mall to get tickets to see the movie Precious. We stopped by our house to drop of a few things that were in the car. We returned to the Hilton and we bought a picture from the Starving Artists and we had it framed on the spot. We both like the picture very much and I will a photo of it and post it later. We checked out and we went home to finish unpacking before we left for the movies. Kecia did a good job with Chris and now Rosemary is caring for Chris. It was a good staycation but really short but a lot of fun.

We also stopped at Live Theatre to get a extra ticked for Elise's French sister Odette. She will be arriving from France tomorrow and Elise and her Mum will meet up with her in Phoenix. They will stay overnight in Phoenix prior to returning to Tucson. We have a few things planned to do during her 5 day stay with us. It will be good to see her again it has been a while since she had been here with us.

Well, I had better get some more coffee and get busy. Have a good day and stay safe. The photos above are of our room at the Hilton East.

Cheers..................

Good Morning Jeanne.

Tiger and Marcie, have a good one.
