Hump Day is here! I started the day off at 4:30am caring for Chris. Elise is still in dreamland and she has a nice melody going on as well, smile. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and hot and I am going to have a danish that Elise got for me from Lutz's Swedish bakery. Lutz's have the best pastries and treats here in the Old Pueblo. I may have two, smile!

A couple more days and we will be northbound to Alaska. I hope to take many pictures on this trip to share with family and friends. I am also hoping to get some ice cream that is made with blubber in it,yummy!

Rosemary will be here this afternoon to care for Chris. I do have one errand to run today, I will get that done while she is here. Well, I had better get busy and get this Hump Day rolling along. Have a good one.

Has your day ended? It has been a good day here in the Old Pueblo. I got my errands taken care of while Angelica was here with Chris. I reviewed our packing lists and we will have a final check tomorrow.

We packed up backpacks with a extra set of clothed just in case we have a luggage mishap, smile. Elise prepared breakfast for dinner this evening. We had pancakes, sausages, eggs, and plenty of hot coffee. We also watched another episode of "Weeds" with Chris and he really does enjoy it.

I had better get back to work with Chris. Have a great evening.

I am waiting on the coffee to brew and I think I will have a donut along with it this morning. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris. I have to run on the air base this morning to get a haircut and while I am out there I will pick up a bottle of Bacardi's Rum.

Another bites the dust. How was your day? I got my in-service class out of the way this afternoon. Elise came home early so I could get this monthly requirement done.

Elise prepared corn on the cob, peppers, tomatoes, and baby potatoes for dinner. We got it all down with some root beer. We also watched another episode of "Weeds" with Chris. We need our "Weed" fix constantly,smile.

I called to confirm our hotel reservations and they are good to go, except the one here in Tucson for Friday. I will contact my brother Herman to see if he can correct it for us..

Well, I had better get back to Chris. Have a great evening.

Monday beware! How are you? I started the day of at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is still counting geckos this morning,but she will be up and on the move very soon. Any plans for today?

I have a in-service class to attend this afternoon at around 2:00pm. I had arranged for Angelica to look after Chris until I returned but she cannot do it and that was very upsetting. So I had to make other arrangements. Other than that nothing else planned for today.

We are all packed and ready to go on our Alaskan cruise. We begin our vacation this Friday afternoon. Can you say glacier, polar bears, blubber and lots of Jack? Smile. We had a fantastic dinner last night with Bucky and Dena. They are wonderful hosts and great family members.

We started of with a nice Rose' and then we graduated to a nice hardy red. Bucky prepared Blue Fin Tuna that he caught on a fishing trip on their boat. IF you have never had Blue Fin you are really missing out on a real delight. It was so good and I bet you would have paid a pretty penny if you order it in a restaurant. We also had corn on the cob and Quinoa. For dessert we had brownies that were gluten free. Excellent meal, excellent! After dinner we played a game of Wizard and I lost. That was followed by a game of Hearts and I lost that game as well.

How are you? I started the day off at 5:20am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning. Any plans for today? The coffee is good and I am eyeing a chocolate chip cookie.

We are going to go out for breakfast morning at the "Hungry Fox" we have not been there for a while. The food is good and the double yolked eggs are great. After Rosemary arrives this evening to care for Chris we will be having dinner at Bucky and Dena's. I am sure that we will be breaking out the "Wizard" for a roaring game or two. Bucky and Dena will be joining us on our cruise to Alaska.

Elise prepared a meatloaf for dinner last night that was out of this world. It was so good. We also had baked potatoes, and petite sweet peas. I love petite sweet peas. We got it down with a few glasses of red,of course. We also watched and episode of Dexter on DVD.

Tomorrow I will be reconfirming our hotel reservations for the cruise and contacting my brother Herman to make sure all is set. Well, I had better get to it. Have a great Sunday. Next week is going to be a very busy one for us,indeed.

It's the weekend! I started the day off at 5:00am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for Elise. Elise will be caring him after she returns from swimming this morning. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and I thinking about some scrambled eggs with cheese. We had a very nice time at Cody's Beef and Bean as always. We shared a carafe of Burgundy and it was good. I had some clam chowder and Elise had a salad. Elise got a T-bone with a baked potato and I got the special BBQ county style spare ribs with fries. We both had beans as well. A very good meal.

We returned home and I watched a little TV and Elise was working her office until she decided to hit the sheets to read a book. After Marv left I checked on Chris and I called it a night as well. My night was cut short due to at around 1:00am I had to hit the (Loo),because for some reason the country style ribs did not agree with me, smile. Oh, well!

I have to run couple of errands this morning and I believe that we will be homebodies today. Elise going to fix a meatloaf for dinner, it should be excellent. Well, I had better get busy. Have a great weekend.

TGIF! How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is counting gecko's this morning, but since they are in short supply she we be up and on the move very soon. Any plans for today?

We had a very nice evening last night. Elise prepared cheese crisps, tamales, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, and refried beans. Ole' We got it all down with a few margaritas. Earlier we went to the movies to see " One Day" and it was very good.

We may go to Cody's Beef and Bean this evening for dinner. Can you say T-bone and Burgundy? We will for sure. Marv will be here to care for Chris this evening. On Sunday we will be closing up our suitcases for our cruise. We are getting worked up for it daily. Well, I had better get to work. Have a good TGIF, and stay safe.

I will be printing up a few pics for my book today if time permits. I still need a lot of info from my brother Herman to include in the book.

Hump Day is over and it has been a good one. Chris and I watched a few movies and we rested most of the day. How was your day? I ventured onto Facebook today and I came across a few photos of my family members that I am going to snag for my book.

Elise prepared a nice dinner this evening. We had BLT's one of our favorite meals. We also had carrots, sliced red peppers, and we had a martini dry and dirty to get it all down. Earlier today I even got had a nice glass of cognac that really relaxed me.

We watched a DVD with Chris called "Excalibur" it was very good and Chris enjoyed it a lot. Rosemary called with a problem today and she good not come to work, so I cared for Chris.

We got a nice burst of wind this evening and some lightening. Now it is raining, I am doing a happy dance, smile. Well, I had better get back to Chris. Have a safe evening.

It's a Hump Day!! How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is still cloud hopping this morning, but as soon as she falls through one she will begin her day. Any plans for this Hump Day?

No plans here as of yet,except to pour another cup of coffee and maybe have lemon cookie to go along with it. Rosemary will be here this afternoon to care for Chris. We got a fantastic lightening display last night and not a drop of rain.Maybe our luck will change today, at least we hope so.

I may be able to get back to my book this afternoon while Rosemary is here. I am having such a good time writing it. It brings back a lot of memories for me. I want to thank Paula and Marty for suggesting that a book needed to be written. Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a good Humper!

It has been another good day,but not a drop of rain in sight. It is about 7:45pm and the temperature is 95 degrees. I got a lot of my book done today, but I am still waiting on my brother's input about his family and hopefully some additional info about our parents.

Chris and I watched TV for a short while today. Elise prepared breakfast for dinner this evening. We had french toast, sausages, eggs and hot coffee. We watched a few more episodes of "Weeds" and I have to tell you it is a very good series it keeps Elise and I in (high) hopes for the next episode. Smile!

I am laying out clothes in the extra bedroom in Chris's house for the Alaskan cruise. We hope that we pack right because it may be rainy and cold at times. Well, I had better get back to Chris. Have a great evening and a good up coming Hump Day!

How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is all covered up head to toe but that is not keeping that steady tune from not being heard, smile. Plans for today?

The coffee is good and I am thinking about a nice egg sandwich with cheese. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris. Usually I would go out to the DDC to pick up our perks but I am not going today so I can work on my book as much as I can. I may visit the DDC this weekend. I am also going to layout things for our upcoming cruise to Alaska.

So that means I will be around the house for most of the day. It is a nice 77 degrees right now here in the Old Pueblo but no to worry that will change quickly. Have a good day and be careful while you are out and about.

The day has ended and it has been a good one. I got my errands taken care of and I got a chance to do some more work on my book. Chris relaxed and he enjoyed listening to music and watching Heath Cliff on TV.

Elise prepared a nice light dinner this evening that was very good. We had corn on the cob, tomatoes, sliced peppers, cottage cheese, and sliced cheese. We got it all down with a nice fruity drink.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is away playing bridge. Well, we hope that your day has been a good one because that is rare for a Monday, smile. Have a wonderful night.

It's another Monday! How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise well you know where she is right? The coffee is good and I think I will have a breakfast biscuit to go along with it. Any plans for today?

I have to run on the airbase this morning and that is about it for today. I may get a few chores done around the main house as well. We are getting our clothing choices ready for our cruise to Alaska that is coming up very soon. We are really looking forward to it and it should be a lot of fun and very relaxing.

We saw the movie "Beginnings" last night and it was very good. It is about a father and son and what they go through after the father announces that he is gay at the age of 75. It was done very well.

I will jot down a few more things in my book today as well. Have a good day and stay safe.

How are you this Sunday morning? I started the day off a 4:45am getting Chris settled. Elise is still in slumber land but she will up and at it very soon. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and I am looking at a danish that Elise bought for me yesterday, but I had better not. We are going to for breakfast at the Good Egg this morning so I don't want to spoil it. We are going to go to the movies this evening after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris.

We are going to the Crossroads Theatre to see "The Beginning" the reviews and previews were good. It was also mentioned to us by Jane and John. We are still in need of the wet stuff here in Tucson. I really don't know what to say about our monsoon season at all. It is not like it used to be.

We had a marvelous dinner at "The Onyx Room" last night with Paula and Marty. The eatery is a (soul food restaurant) and the food was great. Paula and Marty had a veggie plate made up for them. Elise had the pork shoulder, greens, black eyed peas and a salad. I had the pork chop, mac and cheese, greens and a salad. We shared a bottle of red that was really good. Elise and I shared sweet potato pie and Paula and Marty had peach cobbler. It was a very nice evening and it is good to have a soul food getaway here in Tucson. Good music was playing in the background. Will return to the Onyx real soon.

Well, I will work on my book a bit more today if time permits. I am still waiting on input from my brother Herman to add to it. Once I get that I will start to gather photos to put in the book. Well, I had better check on Chris. Have a wonderful Sunday.

How are you? I started the day off at 5:20am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for Elise to care for him. Elise is still counting sheep but she will be on the move soon. Any plans for today?

I am really late posting to our blog today due to I had a few early errands to take care of. I also attempted to replace a old ice maker with a new one in the fridge in the main house. That is why my mood indicates Skilled Laborer, smile. Guess what I did it and it has put a smile on Elise's face and mine to.

We had a very, very nice evening at Rios with Jane and John. What a couple. They are filled with energy and they have gusto for life and that really impressed me. Elise got fish tacos grilled and Jane and John had breaded fish tacos. I had to have the coconut crusted pork chop with mashed potatoes. It was fantastic. Elise, Jane and I were drinking red and John had a Riesling. Elise and I shared a chocolate mousse with a touch and cayenne pepper and it was great. Jane and John shared a dessert as well. We had coffee and I had espresso. If they had a little dash of Grappa I would have added it to my express. What a wonderful evening, thanks guys.

I have also been working on my book this morning with the help of my editor Elise doing the fine tuning.The book is coming along nicely. This evening after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris we will be meeting Paula and Marty for dinner. We are going to The Onyx Room for some soul food. I am looking forward to it. Paula and Marty like it there and the reviews are very good. Can you say collard greens and cornbread? I plan on it, smile.

Well, I had better check on Chris and get him ready to get up and start his day. Have a great weekend all.

TGIF! How are you this fine Friday? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is resting up due to she must have hit a weak cloud and she opened it up on the Old Pueblo last night. We got a very nice and the streets were running and we got a a bit of flooding in the backyard. It was great! Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and I am going to have a iced lemon cookie to go along with it. Elise and I went to see the movie " Final Destination 5 in 3D " it was very good and Elise really enjoyed it even though it had it's moments of gore and quite a few laughs.

We had a very nice dinner last night as well. Elise prepared cheese crisps, tamales, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, salsa and we had plenty of beer to get it all down. We also watched a DVD about a gangster type that was similar to Scarface but he was the French version. It was very good and we are going to order part two.

Elise hosting a marathon bridge game here today. After Marv arrives to care for Chris this evening we will be meeting up with Jane and John at Rios. Can you say I want those dates for and appetizer? We will for sure! We hope to get more rain today,we will see. Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.

Well, the coffee is good this morning and it has a hint of chocolate. I am looking at the last danish and I am sure that it will disappear soon,smile. We had a very nice dinner with Eve last night at Luna Bella. The food was excellent and we were stuffed.

Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris and the will give me a chance to work on my book. I finished my family tree yesterday and now I will begin to input the main parts of the book. I want to thank everyone for you kind words about the cover page, contents and introduction. I guess I was just teasing you, eh?

We may got to the movies this afternoon after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris. We are still in need of rain badly and I am sure that you are too! Well, I had better get busy. Have a great day and stay safe, happy and enjoy!

It's a Hump Day! How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise was doing her impression of a fog horn this morning,smile. Any plans for today?

I have already downed three cups of coffee and a very nice danish Elise got for me. Rosemary will be here this afternoon to care for Chris. That will give me a chance to work on my book some more. I will be tweaking the family tree diagram and then I will finalize it before I start the next portion of my book. I have to tell you this is not an easy task but I am having a blast putting it together.

We still need rain here in Tucson, well at least here in the center of the city. One area got blasted last night and it took down power lines, but not a drop here at all. Elise and I are going to meet her friend Eve at Luna Bella this evening for dinner. Can you say vino and Osso Bucco? I can and I will, smile.

Well, I had better get back to Chris. Have a good Humper and stay safe.

Today has been a very good day. How was yours? Chris's visit with Rosemary's supervisor went well. Angelica took care of Chris this morning and that gave me some time to work on my book.

I got quite a bit done and I am very close to sorting out the pictures for it. I still need some input from my brother Herman. As soon as I get that Elise will begin to use her teaching skills to proof it for me. Once that is done we will put it together and then we will have it printed up. I am so excited to see the finished product.

Elise prepared breakfast for dinner this evening. We had home made pancakes, gluten free of course, sausages, and hot coffee. We watched a few more episodes of " Weeds" with Chris, he loves it as much as we do. I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is transferring pics and documents to CD's so she can clean up her hard drive.

I also got a wonderful surprise from my nephew Jerome this evening. He and his wife Kesha sent me some childhood pics of Kesha. Great pics and she is gorgeous. The pics will make it into my book. Thank you so very much. Well I had better get back to Chris. Have a great night,sleep well, and dream even better.

How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is still among the clouds this morning and she just might make it rain today. Keep counting those zzzzz's Elise! Any plans for today?

Angelica will be here to care for Chris this morning, but prior to that Rosemary's supervisor will be here to see Chris and to see how Rosemary has been working out. So that means I will have to get Chris presentable for his visit.

I have no plans at all for today and I will be working on my book today. I slept through the night without waking up once. I guess I really needed the sleep or something. I received a couple of photos from a family member yesterday to add to my book. What a surprise that was and it is very much appreciated. Thank you Diane.
