Buongiorno!

Buongiorno!

Mood: Content!

Music listening to: What A Girl Needs by Christina Aguilera!

Buon Martedi! How are you doing? I started the day off along with Elise at 5:00am. I am caring for Chris and Elise is heading for the gym. Any plans for today?

The coffee is a good Colombian blend and a second cup will be enjoyed later this morning. It is going to be another hot one here in the valley of Tucson. Rick will be here this morning to care for Chris.

Alexa, is awake this morning and she is not saying much because I hopefully will have a light day today. I have asked her to play some "Fusion Jazz" for me today.

Have a good day and be careful out there. If you could please say a prayer for my dear friend Mary. She is having to wear a heart monitor to see what is wrong with her heart. Thanks.

Here is a bit about our trip to Alpine, California on our way to LA. Enjoy!

 Jul 7 2019

We left the house at 8:05am but we had to turn back because the "Check Engine Light" came on in the Tacoma. So we unloaded the Tacoma and we loaded up the "Green Lady" and we were on our way. We stopped at "Teresa's Mosaic" for breakfast that was wonderful as always.

We hit the highway at around 9:15am and we drove to I-8 making our way toward Alpine, California. We are spending the night at "Viejas Resort and Casino". While we were driving along we listening to a book on tape about Trump's unsavory deals with the Russians. The title of the book is "Russian Roulette". We pulled off of the highway at 11:00am to start a conference call with a Medicare judge in Kansas City about Chris's meds. We talked a bit and the lawyer told us that the case was settled and that Chris would receive his meds. What a relief that was for both of us. We felt happy and light as a feather. We have both been under a lot of stress over this. Now we can enjoy our get-away.

We stopped for lunch at McDonald's in Yuma. We arrived at Viejas around 3:45pm. We checked into our room that was actually a suite. It was huge and brand new. It was free for us because I am a Viejas Player and it was one of my perks. The cost of the suite would have been $379.00 per night. Yeah! The shower alone was as big as our bathroom at home!

We unpacked and we hit the casino to play some Keno. We played for hours. The casino has Keno machines just about on every corner there, so we were in heaven. Elise and I won enough to break even and it was so much fun.

At around 6:15pm we went to eat at the buffet. The wine is free with the meal and with my players card and points we only paid $25.00 for the both of us. After dinner we hit the casino again and we played the dollar slots and I won over $300.00. Cha Ching! At about 9:00pm we were done in. We slept soundly. A good start to our get-away.

Ciao...Jessie and Elise
