Another good day in the Old Pueblo. How about yours? Chris and I spent more time outdoors today in the 86 degree heat and it felt very nice. Elise went to the doc today to check on her ear problem and no infection is present. He gave her a script and told her what she needed to do for it. Hope it works quickly.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise at her book Club meeting at the Bangkok Cafe. I cannot wait to see what she will bring me back for dinner. I am looking at another hot crossed bun right now but I will control myself, I hope! Well, I had better get back to work with Chris. Have good evening all.

It's a Monday Beware! How are you this morning? I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is calling all geckos this morning but she will be making that move soon. Any plans for today?

I have to run a few errands this morning but other than that nothing, but it is a Monday so anything is bound to happen. We had a fantastic evening out last night at Zemens. We met Paula and Marty there and the dinner was superb. Elise, Mum and I were really pleased to see Paula and Marty and to hear what has been taking place in their life since we saw them last. We even brought home some Injera that was left over and that is always a plus. We will have Injera and chili tonight for dinner, hmmm, hmmm, good!

I got many looks last night Zemems because I was wearing the H1N1 tee-shirt. Elise did a great job on hand painting the piglet and it jumps out at you at first glance. Well, I had better get to work with Chris. Have a good Monday and stay out of trouble if you can, smile.

Elise and I had a very nice time at Bistro 44 last night and I was sporting one of the H1N1 tees and it had heads turning and people talking and that is good. Elise had salmon with a salad, veggies and potatoes. I had the pork chop special, mashed potatoes, and veggies. We shared a good bottle of there house red, and we shared some fried shrimp with a coconut sauce that was pretty good. After dinner we stopped at Blockbuster to get a DVD to watch for today.

We are going to go out for breakfast with Mum this morning to a place called the Egg Connection,we have been there many times and the food is great. I will be sporting the tee-shirt again today. This evening we will be meeting up with Paula and Marty for dinner at Zemens for Ethiopian food and we love it there. We have not seen Paula and Marty in quite a while, it should be fun to catch up on things.

Music listening to: Don't Stop Tell You Get Enough by MJ

How are you? I started the day off at 5:30am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is caring for Chris this morning after she returns from her walk. Any plans for today?

We are going to go out for dinner this evening at Bistro 44. We have been there many times and the food is very good. Speaking of food, last nights dinner was excellent. Elise prepared fried catfish, hand cut french fries, homemade tarter sauce with lemon, and a good Tabasco sauce. I gorged myself and I could barely move about it was so good. We shared dinner with Marv the caregiver and he enjoyed it immensely. Wow, it was so good. We have a few leftover and rest assured that they will disappear quickly. I will try to save some for Rosemary to have this evening but I will make no promise to that at all.

Prior to dinner last night Elise fixed a couple of martini's and let me tell you it was great. Let's hear it for Bombay Gin! I will be sporting one of our H1N1 tees this evening at the Bistro 44. The interest in the tees have been very good, thanks to all of the supporters and purchasers. Well, I had better get busy and get this day moving forward. Have a wonderful day and a great weekend.

Afternoon

Good Afternoon,

Well, I have completed all of my errands that I needed to do this morning. I ran into a SNAFU though. Chris's doctor was really late and that caused me to miss mine, but other than that things went well. Here is a what happened on our last day of the cruise:

19 Mar-10

We started the day off a 9:00am. Elise slept very well last night except for hearing our shipmates next door arriving from partying at around 4:30am.We went to breakfast and Elise had oatmeal, stewed prunes, an apple, and a hard boiled egg. I had and omelet, toast, potatoes, bacon, ham, french toast and sausages. Wow, I was very hungry, eh?

We left the ship to walk around and spend some time in Ensenada. We were looking around to see if we could spot Bucky and Dena's yacht but we could not find it. We walked around for about an hour and then we stopped for a Margarita,of course. It was good but no as potent as the ones we had in Cabo. We ordered fish taco's to go along with the Margarita. They were very good. Come to find out that Michael Jackson is alive and doing well in Ensenada. Elise gave him some money and she asked him to moonwalk for her and he did. He was very good!

We decided to walk some more and we tried to find some popcorn but no luck at all. We were going to have it with our martini this evening. We returned to the ship and we went to the cabin for a short time. Around 7:00pm we went to the Atrium Bar and Elda was bar tending, she is from Romania. She made us a martini using Bombay and it is so, so good. We ate some chicken nuggets along with the drink.

After that we went to Tiffany's for dinner. Elise had the baked potato, salad, beef, and some steak fries. She is stuffed. I had beef, chicken Parmesan, fries, and pizza. I was stuffed too! We returned to our cabin and we began to pack up our luggage because they were going to be picked up between 9-11pm. We called it a night after a couple of Jack's because we had to get up early and on time to dock in San Diego. Our cruise has come to an end but we enjoyed it very much and we are looking forward to another already.

There you have it our cruise on the Carnival Elation. Elise and I want to thank everyone who commented on our vacation and we thank everyone who made comments within our blog.

Well, I had better get back to working with Chris. Elise is hosting a marathon bridge session in the main house right now, so she is very busy.

Later............

Thirsty Thursday

Good Morning

Mood: Weird

Music listening to: Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye (classic R&B)

How are you? I started the day off at 5:45am caring for Chris. Elise is up and out this morning getting her workout in. The coffee is extra good this morning and I am thinking toast and jelly. Any plans for today?

Chris and Elise will be getting a massage this morning and the fountain guy will be here to service and replace the pump for it. We are going out for Mexican food this evening with Mum and Lois, and Lee. Yep, can you say Margarita? Rosemary will be caring for Chris this evening. Well, here is a bit more about our cruise.

18 Mar 10

We started the morning off at 8:30am and Elise did not sleep well during the night due to the ship was rolling and turning and it made her very nauseous. This time even I felt the motion and I looked out the window and the waters were a bit rough with white caps.

We went to breakfast in the main dining room this morning. Elise had grapefruit juice, oatmeal with raisins and bananas. I had a ham and cheese omelet, corn beef hash, potatoes, toast and we both had coffee. After eating we walked two miles around the track and it was very windy and the ship was bumpy. Not good for those of us with motion sickness, eh? After the walk we returned to the room to rest.

At about 1:30pm we went to hear the talk about what was going to take place when we disembarked on Saturday morning. After that we went and got a drink and we watched a crew member carve a Indian Head out of a block of ice, he did a great job. It is still very windy outside . Elise and I decided to get a tattoo while we were on the 10th deck and that was fun and interesting.

We visited the slots again and we did not do well today at all. We put in $20.00 in our favorite two cent slot and lost. Then we put in $100.00 in the dollar slot and lost all of it as well. Elise said "Oh well, easy come easy go", we returned to our room after that. At about 5:30pm we went to the Atrium and we sat at the bar and we ordered a dirty martini, (someone at the bar was drinking one and said it was very good). Well, it was excellent and it was huge! We both were walking crooked when we got off the bar stool and we could not blame it all on the rough sea. Smile!

We went to dinner in the main dining room and our last bottle of red was waiting on us. Elise had lamb with mint sauce, creamed spinach and something we could not identify but we believe it was some sort of a veggie. I had the Chateaubriand cooked medium rare, and we had some very good french bread that Elise should not have eaten, but she blamed it on the martini, smile. Elise had her vanilla ice cream with orange sherbet and I had two servings of a Grand Mariner Souffle.

After dinner we went to the Cole Porter lounge to listen to Karaoke and then we went to the main show room to watch the "R" rated hypnotist show. It was great and very funny. The encountered some some rough water during the show and that did not help Elise out and it also got to many more of our shipmates. After the show we called it a night. There you go,more to follow tomorrow about what went on the next day in Ensenada.

Have a great day.

Later.....................

Good Morning Jeanne.

Tiger and Marcie, let's get rolling.

Herman, glad that you got your b-day card and gift.

Ross and Denise, how are things Down Under?

Good Night

Good Night

The day is drawing to a close and it has been another good one. Rosemary is caring for Chris this evening and Chris is happy about that. Elise prepared a very nice dinner this evening.

We had ham, yams, carrots, tomatoes and of course a bottle of red to wash it all down with. We watched the DVD called Armored and it was very good with lots of action. Elise is about to call it a day and she will retire with a book. I will stay up until Rosemary leaves for the evening and then I will call it a night.

Have a peaceful evening.

Good Night Jeanne, how did the bridge game go?

Carolyn, it was good to hear from you today.

Tiger and Marcie, sleep well.

Hello

Hello again,

Well, I have completed all of my errands and Kecia is here caring for Chris. It is a very nice day out and the sun is shining bright. Well, here is a what happened on our third day of the cruise.

17 Mar-10

We got up around 8:00am and we went to bet some coffee. A lot of people have already gotten of the ship to go to Cabo San Lucas. We had breakfast on deck number 10. Elise had prunes with milk, and I had a danish, fried potatoes, bacon and sausages. After we ate we walked the track for a mile and then we decided to leave the ship for Cabo.

We had to show our photo ID and our Carnival card to get off of the ship. We boarded a tender that took us to the docks of Cabo. Once we were there we walked around and we stopped at a place called "Cabo Wabo", we had lunch there. Elise has tacos, (lobster, beef, chicken), plus black beans and rice. I had the enchiladas, with rice and black beans. It was delicious, and Elise's lobster tacos were fantastic.

We both had a giant Margarita that was very, very potent. Lot's of Tequila in them! After we finished eating we walked around some more and we bought some Cabo Wabo t-shirts, some jewelry (we are sure we paid too much for it) a purse for Elise and some hats for Chris and Kim. Later we stopped at a restaurant at one of the marinas to people watch. We both got another Margarita and they were very well made, it is turning out to be a good day, smile! We returned to the docks to catch one of the tenders back to the ship.

After we returned to the ship, we went to our room to rest up for a bit. Later we went back up on deck by one of the pools and we to watch the swimmers and sliders having fun on the big water slide. While we watched them we tried the drink of the day, it was called the "Mexican Mama" it was so-so. Later we had dinner at the buffet. Elise had a baked potato, salad, fish, mashed sweet potatoes. I had shrimp, pulled pork, rice, Fettuccine Alfredo. I tried the chicken noodle soup and it had no taste at all.

After dinner we went to the casino and we played the slots. I put in $20.00 in and I won $40.00 so we cash out of that slot. Then we put a $20.00 bill in another slot and we won $49.00. We tried another slot an lost $20.00. We went to the main theatre and played bingo and we lost. We watched a very good show with a hypnotist. He hypnotized 12 people from the audience. He had them doing some crazy things and it was hilarious. After that we went back to the casino and this time I spent $40.00 in a dollar slot and won $100.00 we cashed out of that slot. We then decided to play our favorite two cent slot and I put in $20.00 and we won $60.50 and we cash out and left the casino. It was a very good day and a wonderful evening. Now we are tired and we called it a night and bid farewell to Cabo San Lucas.

Well, there you go!

Later..............

Shoo Shoo, so glad to hear that the caregiver is working out fine. Enjoy your daughter's visit and try to get in a bit of rest when you can.

Good Morning

Mood: Feeling Good

Music listening to: Big Butts, by Sir Mix-a-Lot

How are you doing today? I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is stirring about and she is getting ready to hit the swimming pool. The coffee is good this morning and I am thinking about a grilled ham and cheese. Any plans for today? None here as of yet.

Hey we are being rained on this morning, what a surprise. Well, here is a bit more about our cruise. Enjoy!

16-Mar-10

I started the day at 8:00am and Elise started at 8:45am. We slept very well except for a couple who where headed to their cabin drunk as could be and they were yelling a each other in the hallway. We went to have breakfast in Tiffany's and the buffet was endless. I ordered up a couple of omelette's for us. Elise, got oatmeal, prunes, danish, bananas, an apple, a grapefruit, bacon, sausages, ham, cheese and coffee. We pigged out! Whew!!

After dragging ourselves from the table we went to a program to learn about going to on land to Cabo San Lucas. The most important thing about the talk was that you had to be back on ship by 4:00pm. Elise is feeling better today but she is still taking the meds. Elise got in a slots tournament at 12:30pm but she lost. I put $20.00 in 2 cent slot and I won $40.00. Later I tried the same slot again and I won $15.00, things are looking good.

After we went on deck 10 to watch a "Hairy Chest Contest by the pool. We ate lunch and people watched. We had hamburgers, fries and a Jack and Coke. Right after that we watched the Mixology contest , where contestants tried to see who could make the best drink. The winning drink will be featured tomorrow as the drink of the day. The drink that won was called the " Jerry Garcia", we will try one tomorrow. Well we walked a mile on the track to work off some of that food and we also walked the track this morning as well and we were not alone let me tell you.

After our walk we hit the bar for some refreshment and we shared a "Goombah Smash" it was served in a monkey container and we saved it for Kim. We then went back to our cabin to rest before we got showered and ready for Elegant Dining night. We dressed up and we hit the dining room at about 6:15pm. We ordered our bottle of red and we were ready to chow down. Elise had the lobster, tiger shrimp, Yukon mashed potatoes. I had the prime rib, baked potato and soup. Elise also had a salad. For dessert I has the cherries jubilee over ice cream. Elise had the vanilla ice cream and sherbet again. Wow what a great dinner.

After dinner we went to the theatre and listened to people talking and waiting for the show "Spin" to start. It was a dancing, singing extravaganza, it was very good but the lead female would sing off key at times. After that we went to the Cole Porter Lounge to listen to Karaoke and some were very good and some were terrible but it was fun to listen to them. After that we listened to the comic stylings of "Jerome". Now he was good very good and he had to whole lounge rolling. We had a martini to help move the show along and the a bit raunchy but it was an adult only show. We sat with some couples that were very interesting.

That ended our day and we were totally wiped out. More to come tomorrow about day three.

Later.............

Good Morning Jeanne.

Tiger and Marcie, let's get rolling.

Carol, I agree with you about leaving the suitcase packed and getting to them as needed.

Sis, good to hear from you. I am glad your cruise is still upcoming. Enjoy your visitors and stay safe.
