Thirsty Thursday

Good Morning

Mood: Weird

Music listening to: Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye (classic R&B)

How are you? I started the day off at 5:45am caring for Chris. Elise is up and out this morning getting her workout in. The coffee is extra good this morning and I am thinking toast and jelly. Any plans for today?

Chris and Elise will be getting a massage this morning and the fountain guy will be here to service and replace the pump for it. We are going out for Mexican food this evening with Mum and Lois, and Lee. Yep, can you say Margarita? Rosemary will be caring for Chris this evening. Well, here is a bit more about our cruise.

18 Mar 10

We started the morning off at 8:30am and Elise did not sleep well during the night due to the ship was rolling and turning and it made her very nauseous. This time even I felt the motion and I looked out the window and the waters were a bit rough with white caps.

We went to breakfast in the main dining room this morning. Elise had grapefruit juice, oatmeal with raisins and bananas. I had a ham and cheese omelet, corn beef hash, potatoes, toast and we both had coffee. After eating we walked two miles around the track and it was very windy and the ship was bumpy. Not good for those of us with motion sickness, eh? After the walk we returned to the room to rest.

At about 1:30pm we went to hear the talk about what was going to take place when we disembarked on Saturday morning. After that we went and got a drink and we watched a crew member carve a Indian Head out of a block of ice, he did a great job. It is still very windy outside . Elise and I decided to get a tattoo while we were on the 10th deck and that was fun and interesting.

We visited the slots again and we did not do well today at all. We put in $20.00 in our favorite two cent slot and lost. Then we put in $100.00 in the dollar slot and lost all of it as well. Elise said "Oh well, easy come easy go", we returned to our room after that. At about 5:30pm we went to the Atrium and we sat at the bar and we ordered a dirty martini, (someone at the bar was drinking one and said it was very good). Well, it was excellent and it was huge! We both were walking crooked when we got off the bar stool and we could not blame it all on the rough sea. Smile!

We went to dinner in the main dining room and our last bottle of red was waiting on us. Elise had lamb with mint sauce, creamed spinach and something we could not identify but we believe it was some sort of a veggie. I had the Chateaubriand cooked medium rare, and we had some very good french bread that Elise should not have eaten, but she blamed it on the martini, smile. Elise had her vanilla ice cream with orange sherbet and I had two servings of a Grand Mariner Souffle.

After dinner we went to the Cole Porter lounge to listen to Karaoke and then we went to the main show room to watch the "R" rated hypnotist show. It was great and very funny. The encountered some some rough water during the show and that did not help Elise out and it also got to many more of our shipmates. After the show we called it a night. There you go,more to follow tomorrow about what went on the next day in Ensenada.

Have a great day.
