Good Morning

Mood: Relaxed

Music listening to: Super Fly by Curtis Mayfield (classic R&B)

It's a Hump Day! How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is covered up from head to toe this morning. As soon as she comes out of her cave she will start her day. Any plans for today?

I am looking a a cranberry cookie to go along with my coffee this morning. No plans for today as of yet. Rosemary will be here this afternoon to care for Chris. It should be a peaceful day and I think that I will do some work on my book. I did quite a bit yesterday, and I think that I am ahead of the my deadline date.

Well, you have a good Hump Day and be careful.

Later...........

Tiger,Marcie, Jet ding dong!

Rosie, you are on a roll.

Jane and John what are you up to?

Here is another part of our Alaskan cruise:

9-Sept-11

We started the day off at 8:10am. We hit the promenade deck to walk again. Elise did 7 laps way over 2 miles. I took my laps slow and easy because I was taking photos. We are in Glacier Bay.

After the laps were completed we hit the Garden Cafe for breakfast. Once again Elise had oatmeal and some pickled herring. I had an omelet, potatoes, cheese slices, cold cuts, a croissant, and a sticky bun. We both were stuffed,it is hard work taking photos. While we were eating our breakfast we watched (Marge Glacier) calwing it was cool. It was breaking off pieces that were falling into the water. It was great to see.

We went up on the 14th deck to walk around the Sport Deck. People were rock climbing, playing basketball, golf, and using the hot tubs. It was chilly out but very exhilarating. Then we went to the Spinaker Lounge to get the drink of the day. It was called "Blue Lagoon" it was made of vodka, pure curacao, grapefruit juice and apple juice. It was good but just a bit too sweet for our taste. We sat fro a while and we continued to admire the glaciers.

We went to the 11th floor and knocked on Bucky and Dena's stateroom number 11104. They were there and invited us in. They were drinking white wine and offered us a glass but we declined. We decided to play a game of Wizard and we agreed to meet up in a lounge on the 13th floor (outside lounge). It was kind of protected from the wind, but after awhile Dena got cold so we went to the Spinaker Lounge and we played there. We got a bottle of red for us and Bucky and Dena drank white. We played Wizard and Hearts.

It was about 2:30pm and Dena said that she was hungry so we went to the Garden Club and we had a light lunch. Elise had half of a pizza slice and salad. I had pizza, bratwurst, chicken and a small deli sandwich. Dena had a huge plate loaded with a variety of things and she went back for dessert. Bucky had salad, pizza and bratwurst. We did not finish or wines so we corked them up and took them with us wherever we went. Are we wino's or what? Not!! We were not the only ones carrying bottles around.

We went to the lounge outside of Le Bistro and we played more cards. At about 4:30pm we decided to go back to our rooms to get ready for our dinner reservation at the Steak Place. Elise and I took a quick detour to the casino, but even though we won $100.00 we spent about $160.00, so we didn't do well, but it was fun. It is very foggy out and visibility is nil. It is cold too! Good training for our Salmon fishing tomorrow in the cold. We hope that it does not rain on top of that. We are ready for it though.

We met up with Bucky and Dena at "Cagney's Steakhouse" this dinner was on Elise and I. The surcharge was $100.00 and well worth it. Elise and I had shrimp cocktail and we each had a salad. Elise had a Filet Mignon, baked potato and asparagus. For dessert Elise had a lemon sorbet. I had a T-bone, fries in a cone, clam chowder and for dessert I had the sorbet. Bucky had lamp chops and Dena ordered a Filet. We downed a bottle and a half of red. We sat for awhile and we talked and we watched the parade of chefs go by. We said good night and we headed for our stateroom for a much need rest for our day of fishing tomorrow. Another good day on board the "Pearl".
