TGIF!! How are you doing on this fine Friday morning? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is sawing logs and our log cabin will be complete very soon,smile. Not to worry she will be up and taking names soon. Any plans for today?

The coffee is very good this morning and I think I will have some toast and jelly to go along with it. Elise will be hosting a marathon bridge game here this afternoon. I will be catching up on some paperwork and going over a few items for my book.

We went to the movies yesterday afternoon and we saw "The Guard" it was hilarious and very well done. After the movie we returned home and Elise prepared breakfast for dinner. We had thick bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns and we got it all with hot coffee. We also watched another episode of "Dexter" and we consumed a couple of grapefruit juice and vodka cocktails. A very nice evening, I must say. After Rosemary left for the evening I checked on Chris and Elise hit the sheets to read a book. I followed suit and I continued to read a book on my Kindle.

Well, I had better get back to Chris and get his day moving along. Have a great day and be careful and stay safe..

Well, here is a bit more about our cruise to Alaska.

3 Sept 11

We were up at 4:00am getting ready to head to the airport. We left the Tacoma at the TownePlace Suites and we took the shuttle to the airport. We were worried about being overweight with our luggage but we were good to go. Our flight left Tucson at 7:45am headed for Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a very short flight!

We decided to have some breakfast since we had a two hour layover. We had a Mexican breakfast. Elise had eggs, potatoes and chile's on a tortilla. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, and a tortilla. Elise also had a Bloody Mary and I had a Watermelon margarita. I know kind of early for that sort of thing but we were on vacation. Besides what happens in the Vegas airport stays in the Vegas airport, eh?

After breakfast we wondered around the airport and we came a upon a few slot machines. We put in $20.00 and within 3 pulls we won $53.00! We quit! Hey that was enough to pay for our shuttle in Seattle. We boarded our plane for Seattle and after we arrived we took the shuttle to the Residence Inn that my brother Herman secured for us. The Inn is in Bellevue, Seattle a suburb of Seattle. It is a very nice place and it is surrounded by trees and lots of green, it's cool!

We got settled and we decided to get something for dinner. Elise asked the desk about good places to eat that were nearby since we would be walking. We went to a place called " Azteca", it is a Mexican restaurant and we were amazed at the fare there, it was awesome! Elise ordered tacos, ranchero beans and rice. I had enchiladas, ranchero beans and rice. I have to tell you the ranchero beans were superb. You could have ordered just that and you would have been happy and full, smile. We also had two, yes count them two margarita and they were superb!! We staggered back to our hotel and that short walk left a empty spot that needed to be filled. I popped a bag a popcorn in the microwave and we watched a little TV. Elise said that she needed the popcorn like she needed a hole in the head. We hit the sheets because we had to get up early in the morning to head out of the pier 66. Another blessed day!
