Good Morning
Mood: Frisky!!
Music listening to: Miami by Will Smith
How are you this morning? I started the day off at 5:00am looking in on Chris and getting hi settled for Elise to care for him this morning. Elise is still counting horny toads this morning but as soon as she has counted her quota she will start her day. Any plans for today?
The coffee is very good this morning and the cheese/fruit danish that I am having with it is very good. I should say half of a danish, someone ate the other half of it. I wonder who did that? Today should be a very relaxed day with no errands to run.
We had a great time yesterday at Paula and Marty's Virgo get together. There was a very nice turn-out and the food was great. We loved the sound of popping champagne bottles. Marty was very good at it,smile. We returned home for a short while before we left for the movies. We went to the Loft to see a movie titled "Terri" it was very good. It was about the life a teen-age boy and all that he went through at home and at school.
After the movie we returned home to change clothes and we headed out to "Elle's for dinner. We each had a glass of red with our meal. Elise got fish and I got Penne pasta. After dinner Elise ordered a martini and I ordered a Mojito. After dinner we went to the Invisible Theatre to see "In The Mood" it was a romantic comedy that was very good and the theatre was packed.
We returned home and we watched our AZ Wildcats play football against Stanford. We could not watch too much because our team was losing badly. So I checked on Chris and we both hit the sheets to read. A pretty good day.
Well, I had better check on Chris. Have a grand Sunday. We are going to met up with Paula, Marty, Jane and John this evening at Zemans for dinner. Elise and I will venture out this morning for breakfast at "Blue Willow".
Later.........

Here is another installment on our cruise:
5 Sept 11
I was up at 7:00am and Elise followed at 7:30am. We got dressed and went to the buffet for breakfast. It was packed. Elise got oatmeal and I got eggs, bacon, ham, and potatoes. We both has some pickled herring that was very good.
Then we decided to walk the around the promenade deck. Elise 6 laps and I did 5 laps. Two and two thirds laps equals 1 mile. We went back to our stateroom to clean up before we explored the ship. The sea was a bit rough with lots of whitecaps.
We played bingo for a while and we did not win, but it was fun. The announced that the sea will be choppy due to the winds were picking up. The temperature was 55 degrees and very foggy. After we had a light lunch we went to a wine tasting that we signed up for. We sampled various French wines with cheese and crackers. It was very informative and very good. We tasted whites and reds that ranged from sweet to dry.
Then we went to a Martini tasting that we signed up for as well. We sampled 5 different martinis all made with Vodka. Elise prefers hers made with Bombay Gin. It was a lot of fun and we met some interesting people. A few of them we already met at the wine tasting and that made it that much more fun. The laughs and the jokes were all over the place a good time.
Then we meet up with Dena and Bucky and we played "Hearts and Wizard" while people watching and looking at the sea and the islands. Of course we were downing a bottle of white wine that Bucky ordered. At 6:30pm we stopped playing cards and we went to dinner at the Sushi Bar.
We had Octopus, Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon, Shrimp, and Eel. We ate and ate and ate.Wow!! It was good. We downed another bottle of white and then Bucky ordered a bottle of Sake. It was fantastic. Dena ordered herself a green tea ice cream and a green tea cake. Of course she had hot green tea to go along with it. Delicious!! Once again Bucky paid the surcharge for the specialty meal. We will pick up the next tab for dinner. All meals are included in the fare but if you go to one of the specialty you have to pay a surcharge, but you can eat as much as you want. The surcharges range from $10.00 to $25.00 per person and well worth it.
After dinner Bucky and Dena were exhausted so the called it a night. Elise and I walked the promenade deck and it was cold and windy and raining. It rained for at least 3 to 4 hours and the sea was choppy. After our short walk Elise and I went to the Stardust Theatre. We saw a show titled "Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons" It was a musical tribute to them and it was wonderful.
After the show we called it night and we returned to our stateroom. Another good day at sea.
