It's The Weekend!!

Good Morning

Mood: Chillin!

Music listening to: Too Hot by Kool and the Gang

It's the weekend!! I started the day off at 5:00am getting Chris settled. Elise is chasing clouds this morning in search of a few raindrops. She will start her day as soon as she comes in contact with a thunder boomer. When she does she will begin to care for Chris this morning. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and hot this morning and I am thinking about donuts and I don't have any, oh well, smile! I have to run a quick errand this morning and maybe wash my car. We had a very nice dinner last night at Cody's Beef and Bean. We shared a carafe of Burgundy and Elise had the T-Bone special. I had the New York steak with shrimp special. The food was great. We returned home to watch a few episodes of "Weeds". Once you start watching it, it is hard to stop,we are addicted to it. Elise hit the sheets to read and after Marv left for the evening I followed suit.

We are going to visit with Paula and Marty this afternoon for a Virgo party at their home. It should be fun and interesting since Elise and I are not Virgo's. Angelica will be caring for Chris until Rosemary relieves her later in the evening. Later in the evening Elise and I are going to have dinner at "Elle's" and following that we are going the see a play at the "Invisible Theatre". It should be a good evening of good food and entertainment.

Well, I had better check on Chris. Have a great weekend and stay safe and have fun.

Later....................

Tiger, Marcie, Jet, wake up!

Jane and John, what are you up to?

Mary and Bob, you are on a roll.

JT, no word yet?

Here is another episode of our Alaskan Cruise:

4 Sept 11

We started the day by having breakfast at the hotel. It was about 8:00am, I got up at 7:00am and Elise rolled out at 7:30am. I had eggs, sausage, tatoes and a bagel. Elise had a bowl of oatmeal. We had plenty of coffee to wake us up completely. We got our luggage together and we called a cab to take us to pier 66. We checked out of the hotel and it took about 10 minutes for the cab to arrive. The cost to get to the pier was $42.00 dollars, so now we own part of the cab, smile!

We checked in at the pier and we checked all of our luggage except for our backpacks. We were waiting to board along with everyone else. We spotted Bucky and Dena and we waited together until we began to board ship. We decided to have lunch in one of the many restaurants on board. Bucky bought two bottles of wine to go with lunch. Now that is how you start a vacation! We had chicken, potato salad, beans, hot dogs and fries. Delicious. After lunch we split up to explore the ship because we could not get into our cabin until 2:00pm. The ship has 15 decks and Elise and I decided prior to arriving that we would not use the elevators at all. We would only use the stairs during the whole cruise. We did just that and we really paid for it too!

We decided to reward ourselves with a "Bon Voyage" drink at the bar on the top deck. We had a good view of the pier and we watched as the ship pulled away. Elise had a Long Island Iced Tea and I had a Pear tini, they were very good and we were on our way. Our luggage was delivered to our stateroom and we went to unpack and get settled in. Now we are getting ready to visit Bucky and Dena's stateroom to see what it was like. They have a stateroom with a balcony. They also made reservations for dinner at "Le Bistro" a French restaurant that you have to pay a surcharge if $15.00 per person for because it is a specialty restaurant. Bucky paid for the reservation.

We had escargot, mussels, scallops, eggplant, cones with different sea treat in them and bread that was fantastic. Elise also has asparagus with Hollendaise sauce. All of that was the appetizer, can you believe that? For the entree Elise and Dena had Bouillabaisse, Bucky had duck and I had pork tenderloin. We had plenty of wine to get it all down, but we were not done yet. For dessert we all had ice cream, Dena got a apple dumpling and Bucky go a cheese platter. We topped that off with coffee. Now you see why we will be taking the stairs everywhere we go, he?

After dinner Elise and I hit the casino and you will not believe what Elise did. She put a $100.00 bill into a slot thinking it was a 25 cent machine and after two pulls the machine would not work anymore!! It was then that we realized it was a $25.00 machine not a 25 cent machine, OMG!!! We ran away from that slot very fast. See what too much good food will do to you? Especially French food. We spent another $100.00 on other slots and did not win anything. The casino was crowded. We called it a night after that and we returned to our stateroom. The ship was a little bumpy but the captain told us that it would be for a little while. A good first day at sea and lots of fun. I forgot to mention that we played Hearts with Bucky and Dena and I won!
