Good Morning
Mood: Restless
Music listening to: Like What You Feel by Chaka Khan
What is up? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Actually I was awake at 3:30am I was not sleeping well. Elise is still rocking and rolling but she will be up to start her day very soon. Any plans for today?
I am out of donuts and danish to go along with my coffee this morning. I had a little help from our caregivers in making them disappear, smile. I have to run a couple of errands this morning to include one on the airbase. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris.
I haven't been to the DDC in a while so I had better plan a visit in the very near future,I am losing my perks, smile. Elise is back to practicing with her choral group and that will keep her busy for a bit. I am still working on my book and it is coming along nicely. I believe that it will be finished on time.
Well, I had better check on Chris. Have a good Tuesday and stay happy.

Here is another chapter on our Alaskan Cruise:
7 Sept 11
We gained an hour due to we crossed into another time zone. What is time anyway?
We got up at 7:20am and we hit the promenade deck to do some laps. Elise did six laps and I had to stop because my left knee was acting up. I was missed on the walk by a couple of ladies that we met on board. We would see them on our daily walk.
We went to the Garden Cafe for breakfast. Elise had oatmeal with raisins and pecans and I had ham, sausage, bacon, tatoes, baked beans and 3 0r 4 sweet rolls. Hey I am in training for all of those stairs that we climb everyday, smile!
We received a call from Bucky and Dena but they did not leave a message. We docked in Skagway and we planned our day. From the ship Skagway doesn't look like much of a town. Juneau has only 30,000 people and Skagway looks like it has less.
We left the ship and we stopped in the Alaskan T-Shirt Company. We bought two jackets, two shirts and a totem pole. We got a call from Bucky and Dena saying that they made reservations to ride the Skagway train, so we decided to do it too! The cost was $119.00,but it was well worth the price.
We were gone for 4 hours (round trip) and we saw lots of waterfalls, big trees, roaring rivers, and snow covered mountains. It was great! We all sat together on the train and that was a plus. Prior to boarding the train Elise and I stopped in "The Red Onion Saloon" It used to be a brothel and saloon combined. Now the waitresses dress up as "call girls" (they stick their tips in their bosoms) no complaints from me, smile! We has a light lunch of chili and chicken wings, and we had a Jack and Coke. We have to have one Jack and Coke on our trips.
After the train ride we returned to the ship. Bucky and Dena wanted us to come to their stateroom to play Wizard, but Elise and I went to the Jave Cafe/Bar and we had a martini. They make them very good at Jave Cafe. Bill is the bartender.
After that we went to Bucky and Dena's stateroom and we sat out on the balcony and we had a glass of vino.
We decided to have dinner at the " Summer Palace" which is one of the dining rooms on board. Now let me tell you this was a treat for us all. Elise had lamb with mint sauce, mashed sweet potatoes. I had New York Steak and a baked potato. Bucky had the lamb and Dena had fish. It was very good. Of course we had a bottle of vine to get it all down.
After that we went to the Java Cafe and we ordered more martini's, (Dena had white wine). After that we went to the photo shop and we bought our picture and we bought Bucky and Dena picture as well. We returned to the Java Cafe open seating area and we played Wizard and we listened to "Tino" play music and sing. Next thing I know the bartender had Elise up on the floor dancing and playing a cow bell or something like that. Bucky and Dena were tired so they went to their room. Elise and I went to comedy show in the Stardust Theatre and it was very good. After the show we called it a night.
