TGIF! How are you doing this Friday morning? I started the day off at 5:10am caring for Chris. Elise is well you know still counting sheep this morning but as soon as one falls on her she will be up and on the move. The coffee is good this morning and I am thinking eggs again. Any plans for today?
Well, Angelica did a pretty good job of learning to work with Chris. It is going to take a few more sessions before we will let her try to care for him alone. Chris is not easy to care for and it takes quite a bit of work to master it, if Chris wants you too, smile. Angelica will return on Saturday evening for another session of training.
We had a very nice dinner last night with Mum at "Furrs" the food is always very good there. We are going to "Colors" this evening for a couple of Jack and Cokes. After that we will be going to the Live Theatre to watch a live play, followed by a late dinner at Buddy's Grill or Applebee's.
Well, I had better get to it. Have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend. Here is a bit more about our trip to Kentucky.
Cheers...................

We did not get up until 9:30am and we retired at 10:00pm the night before. Wow we really slept well, eh? We turned on the TV because the wind had been blowing quite a bit during the night and it seemed like it was getting worse. Come to find out there were tornado warnings in and around the Louisville area. I continued to listen to the news and Elise went down to the exercise room to workout. At that time the winds were at 65 miles per hour. Elise returned and we got dressed and we decided to venture out to get some breakfast. We left the hotel and we walked toward the mall area looking for a place that served breakfast.
While we were walking and looking he warning siren started to ring and I told Elise that a tornado has been spotted within the area. People were coming out of the nearby businesses and they had their eyes looking toward the sky and so did we. The wind was blowing pretty good and and the rain began to fall in sheets. So we went into the nearest restaurant which was the "Tumbleweed Bar and Grill". It was about 11:30am so we ordered lunch. We both had a cup of coffee but it was very lukewarm so Elise decided to get herself a Margarita. She said " Hey it's a vacation" and the margarita was very good so I helped her to drink it, smile. We had some good chips and salsa.
Elise ordered the BBQ ribs that were excellent, and I ordered a pork chop covered with a bourbon BBQ sauce that was really good, but the pork chop itself did not compare to Buddy's Grill in Tucson. I also had baked beans and fries. The food was pretty good. We were keeping an eye on the weather problems on the TV's, the rain was coming down in sheets. After we finished eating we ordered a "Flight of Margaritas" which consisted of four different kinds of tequilas and mixing. They all were very good but we liked the two that our waitress suggested was her favorite. We were stuffed by this time. It is still very windy out and the now it was cold outside. We returned to the hotel and we watched the TV for a while to get updates on the weather. A tornado actually did touchdown in Louisville but it went right back up. Some damage to trees and power lines leaving many without power. A few trees had fallen on cars and storage bins had been toppled over and one landed on a car but no injuries were had.
So later in the day we went to the movies to see "Red" with Helen Mirren. It was awesome and it was totally funny to see her handling a 50 caliber gun. It was a very good movie. We went to Target and to a liqueur store to stock up on some Jack, yes we know Jack very well, smile. We returned to our room and relaxed. It has been a very slow and easy day. A great day to relax. We hit the sheets early because our flight leaves the Louisville area at 7:30am taking is back to Phoenix. It has been a wonderful vacation and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Ron and Nancy for you hospitality, Presha it was good to see you, Tiger, what a pleasure it was to spend time with you and your family in Tennessee, Herman thank you so very much for getting us great deals at the Marriott's and thank you for surprising us with dinner with the whole family. Elise and I are truly blessed and we are grateful to you all. Fantastic vacation!
