Hump Day!!

Good Morning

Mood: Sad

Music listening to: Hold On To Your Love by EnVogue

It's a Hump Day!! How are you? I started the day off at 5:15am caring for Chris. Elise is yodelling in a canyon in Europe this morning but she will be up and at it very soon. The coffee is good this morning and I am on my second cup and thinking about a third. I must really be stressing this morning, smile. Any plans for today?

I have to run to run to my office to turn in some paperwork and I was going to stop in the casino to pick up my perks but I will not have time today. I am feeling really bad about letting the caregiver go but I really had no choice. She has a couple of kids and she is a single parent as well who has various other problems. We counted on her and all of our caregivers to be available for Chris's needs. Chris is a lot of work and a lot of caregivers just could not deal with the responsibility that is required of them. We thought that this one was great and Chris liked her a lot and that is always a plus. I will begin to train another caregiver tomorrow morning.

Well, I had better get that third cup of coffee and get busy. Have a good Hump Day!!

Prost...............

Jeanne, we miss you.

Here is a bit more about our trip to Kentucky.

10-24-10

Wow, we woke up at 8:30am and after drinking coffee with Nancy, Ron and Presha we all piled into the SUV and we took off for breakfast. We ate at a funky little place and the food was good. Elise had scrambled eggs, bacon adn fried potatoes. I had the same but I ha sausages instead. Nany had a biscuit that was huge!

We drove around in Louisville for a while looking at the sites. We stopped at Churchill Downs Racetrack. It was a very interesting place. It took about two hours to see and well worth it. Then we drove down to the Ohio River adn looked at the gates/dam that controls the water level so boats can use the locks to traverse the river. We also went across the bridge into Indiana. Now we have been in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and tomorrow we will go to Tennessee.

For dinner we ate at a BBQ place and it was delicious. Elise had BBQ pork with beans and fries. I had the same and it was very filling. We both had root beer in a chilled mug that really hit the spot. We returned back to Nancy and Ron's home and we said our goodbyes. What wonderful hosts and we appreciated the short stay with them. It was so much fun and they are a lot of fun to be around. It was good to spend time with Presha because it has been years since Elise has seen her. She made the stay that much better. We are on our way back to Louisville to our next hotel.
