Music listening to: It's On by Boney James

TGIF! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is is still tuning up this morning and as soon as she done she will start her day. Any plans for today?

Well, the coffee is good and I am already thinking about a second cup. We had a very nice evening yesterday. We went to see the movie"Moneyball" and it was very good. After the movie we stopped at Cody's Beef and Bean for dinner. We shared a small carafe of Burgundy. Elise ordered the country style ribs, baked potato, beans and a salad. I ordered the prime rib, beans, steak fries and a bowl of bean soup that was excellent.

Elise is hosting a marathon bridge game here this afternoon. Our front yard will look like a used car lot. I will be caring for Chris until Marv arrives this evening. Later Elise and I will hit Colors for a few Jack and Cokes. After that we will see a play at Live Theatre Workshop, followed by a late light dinner at Applebee's.

I have started to put photos in my book and it is coming out very well. I am sure that I will make my deadline to have my book completed and printed. I am really having a good time writing it. The first printed copy will go to Paula and Marty for suggesting that I write the book.

Well, I had better get to work with Chris. Have a good TGIF and enjoy.

Good Night

Good Night

Well, the day has come to a close and it has not been too bad. I worked on my book for awhile this morning. After Angelica arrived I went to my in-service-class. There were quite a few people there this time. Even the instructors were amazed at how many people attended.

I returned home and worked on my book a bit more. I had Elise to proof a few pages for me. Elise prepared a breakfast for dinner that was delicious. We had coffee of course, and we each had an omelet that was stuffed with some of the salmon that we caught in Alaska. It also had cream cheese and onions in it. It was fantastic! Oops, I forgot we had toast too!

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise just left to practice singing with the Tucson Women's Chorus. I hope that your day was a good one? I had better get back to Chris. Sleep well.

Cheers..............

Monday be careful!! I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is well, you know by now, smile. Any plans for today? The coffee is good and the the vanilla iced donut that I am having with it is very good.

I have to attend a nurse's in-service-class this afternoon. Angelica will be here this afternoon to care for Chris until I return. We had a very nice breakfast with our daughter Kim yesterday. Later in the evening we watched "Silence of the Lambs" it is always enjoyable to watch it.

Rosemary arrived to care for Chris and we went to a appreciation night for Live Theatre Workshop season ticket holders. It was very nice. The finger food was very good and the news and the entertainment they provided was nice.

After that we headed for La Salsa for dinner but it was closed. So we went to Sir Vezas and we had margaritas of course. We both had tacos. Elise had one with fish and one with chicken. I had one with ground beef and one with BBQ beef, they were all good. So good that we had to have a second margarita.

We returned home and I checked on Chris and we called it a night. We were stuffed. Well, have a good Monday!

We had a restful day yesterday and I worked on my book. We played golf on Wii and Chris likes to watch us play. After Rosemary arrived to care for Chris,we went to the DDC for a prime rib dinner and it was very good. The DDC was packed and so was the steakhouse. We really enjoyed our meal and the Jack and Cokes that went along with it.

After dinner we hit the slots and we had a lot of fun, but we did not come away with a bag of cash, maybe next time. We returned home and I checked on Chris and we hit the sheets to read for awhile. I downloaded two new games onto my Kindle as well.

We are going to meet our daughter Kim at "Teresas" for breakfast,we haven't seen her in a while. Here is a final posting about our Alaskan cruise:

11-Sept-11

We arrived back in Seattle and we waiting for our calling to disembark from the "Pearl". We went into the terminal to pick up our luggage. We then took a cab to the Residence Inn for our overnight stay in Bellevue, Washington.

We are both feeling a bit blah if you will? You have to get used to being back on land. We took a short walk around the property, and even that did not energize us. Later went to eat dinner and it was very good. We had a couple of margaritas and we were stuffed but we were energized now. Ole'.

We returned to the hotel and we watched TV and relaxed. We got up early the next morning and we had a good breakfast in the hotel lobby. We checked out and we caught a cab to the airport to catch our flight home.

We saw Bucky and Dena on board ship before we left having breakfast. They had no idea that they had to be out of there stateroom by 9:00am, and they did not put their luggage outside of their door to be picked up. Dena said that they had not even packed yet. So we said our good-byes then and they left to get packed up.

It was a great cruise and we enjoyed every minute of it. We are in the planning stage right now for our trip to Tuscany, Italy for October 2012. We have already got a place to stay in Florence, Italy. So we have plenty of time to fine tune it, and we will be looking forward to our two weeks in Italy.

It's The Weekend!!

Good Morning

Mood: Content

Music listening to: Disco Lady by Johnny Taylor

The Weekend is here! I started the day of at 4:50am this morning looking in on Chris. I have a raging headache for some reason. Elise is still knocking out those zzzz's but she is out of her cave this morning. She will be starting her day very soon. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and I am out of danish, no donuts, what am I going to do? We went to see the movie "Driver' last night and it was excellent and some good blood and brains scenes. After the movie we went to "BJ's" for dinner. Elise ordered a red and I had a Piranha beer. It was packed and we had to wait for about twenty minutes to get seated.

We shared some wings and a small bowl of minestrone soup that was really good. Elise ordered a gluten-free pizza and I had the grilled pork chops that were good but nothing like what Buddy's used to serve. The mashed potatoes that came with it were very good. I ordered another beer and Elise had another glass of vino. It was a good evening.

We returned home and I checked on Chris and we called it a night. Well, I had better look in on Chris. Have a great weekend and be careful.

Cheers............

Tiger, Marcie, Jet enjoy the weekend.

Shoo Shoo and Stu, glad to hear that you will be joining us at Zemems next month.

Jane and John, have a good one.

Loraine, what are you up to?

Rosie, have a good weekend.

Monna, how are things?

Here is a bit more about our Alaskan cruise:

10-Sept-11

We got up this morning at around 8:00am and Elise is not feeling to chipper today she thinks that she had too much libation yesterday. Elise walked the track anyway. That should perk her right up quickly.

We went for breakfast and Elise had her usual oatmeal with pecans, raisins and fruit. I had eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, sweet rolls and we both had plenty of coffee. We are at sea and we are heading for Victoria.

Later we played the slots and we lost $100.00 but still we were having fun. Elise suggested that we go and have lunch, not the norm for her to request that. I took is as a sign that she is feeling much better. Elise had rice, potato salad, veal in a sauce, sausage and sauerkraut. I had two small sandwiches, potato salad, part of a chicken breast and some pork tenderloin. We both has soft serve ice cream for dessert. We were stuffed and we could use a nap.

We docked in Victoria, British Columbia at 6:00pm. On the pier there were people dressed in colonial clothing to greet the ships as they docked. We took the bus to the downtown area so we could explore. This place is really green and very clean.

We walked around and we went into many shops. We went into one of the famous hotels and I took a few pics of it. Elise's Mum had high tea at this hotel many years ago and that brought back memories for Elise.

We bought some t-shirts while we were walking around. We stopped at a seafood restaurant for dinner. Elise had fish chowder that was outstanding. I had fish and chips and we got it down with some red.

We caught the bus back to the pier and we went straight to our stateroom. We began to pack up our suitcases so we good put them outside of our stateroom door for pick up. We layed out our clothes for the next day and we called it a night. Another good day on the "Pearl".

Good Morning!

Good Morning,

Well, I have a break in the action this morning so here is a bit more about our Alaskan cruise:

9 Sept 11

We started our day very early. We met up with Bucky and Dena at the "Blue Lagoon" for a quick breakfast of eggs, bacon and potatoes. We are now docked in Ketchikan. It is about 6:00am and we are going salmon fishing.

We boarded a bus that was waiting on us at the pier. We arrived at a marina after about a 30 minute drive through Ketchikan. They even have a Micky D's here, smile! We met our guide named "Joe' at a small fishing boat that was for four people. So it was Elise, Bucky, Dena and me. We set out troll for salmon.

We had a great time we saw whales, and dolphins. They were real close to our boat, it was great to see the whales shooting water through there blow-holes and to see their huge tails splash the water. We caught a total of eight salmon and we had to put three back because they were too small. Our guide was very good and he knew what he was doing. The salmon we caught averaged 12 pounds each. Bucky made arrangements to have the fish smoked and shipped to us in Tucson. We had a good time and nobody got sea-sick while we were out on the water.

We got back on the bus and it we returned to the pier and we got back on the "Pearl". Elise and I went to the Garden Cafe for some lunch. I had soup, sandwich, sausage and ice cream. Elise had soup, rice, sauerkraut, sausage and ice cream. We returned to or stateroom and we took a nap for about an hour.

After the short nap we went we had a martini (dry and dirty). We went to Bucky and Dena's stateroom and we had a glass of vino with them. Then we went to the "Blue Lagoon" to play "Wizard". We ordered some snacks and another bottle of vino. We snacked on wings, spinach dip, and cheese cake. We played for quite awhile and it was a lot of fun. Another bottle of vino was ordered and all of a sudden the subject of politics came up and that was a mistake. Bucky really gets carried away when he talks politics and it is not a good thing. The subject got way out of hand and we ended the evening after having such a good day. That goes to show you that good chicken wings and politics don't mix ever, smile. We returned to our stateroom and we called it a night.

TGIF!! Ya'll

TGIF! How goes it? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is once again in her cave hibernating, but she will up and about soon for sure. Any plans for today?

The coffee is good and the pineapple danish goes very well with it. I just did not have the time yesterday to post more about our Alaskan cruise. Not to worry still have it fresh in my mind. I will post more about it later this morning.

We went to see the movie "Straw Dogs" and it was very good. It has us on the edge of our seat the whole time. After the movie we went to the "Shelter" to have a cocktail. The "Shelter" was voted to have the best martini's in Tucson so you know we had to check it out. Well, you know what they are very good and the "Shelter" is a small place but it is nice and comfortable. We will venture back very, very soon.

Marv will be here this evening to care for Chris. I also hope to get some more of my book done today as well. Elise prepared my favorite BLT's for dinner last night and we got them down with Vodka tonics, while we watched a few more episodes of "Weeds". We may head out to the DDC tomorrow evening because we have not been there in quite some time.

Well, I had better get to it. Have a good Friday and get ready for the weekend.
