Hello!

Hello!

How are you doing so far on this Sunday? Well, we just got back from the foothills of Tucson. We have to give kudos to Marv because he prepared a brunch that was 5 star.

Wow, what a spread. We were glad to see that Bobby made it to the brunch. He got his car started last night and it is running fine now, go figure, eh? The home that we were in is a spectacular showplace, beautiful home and well maintained. I will post pictures that I took later today.

As promised here is what took place in Sin City!

We titled it the "Trip From Hell". Are you ready?

22 July

We left the house at about 7:15am and we stopped at "Mother Hubbard's" for breakfast. Elise love the gluten free pancakes they serve.

It is about 10:00am and we are now in Chandler, Arizona. We were surprised that JT and George were up and ready to go. We loaded up their luggage and we took off. We stopped in Walmart to pick up a script for JT.

We stopped at Micky D's in Carefree, Arizona for lunch and then again in Kingman for gas. We arrived in Vegas at around 5:00pm a uneventful trip so far. (Little did we know what was coming).

We checked JT and George into the Excalibur and the we then we told them that we see them tomorrow evening at New York , New York. We left the car parked at Excalibur and we walked over to New York, New York to check into our room.

After we checked in went to our room to drop off our luggage. We then went down to hit the slots, but the slots were so tight and we did not do well at all. At around 8:00pm we got hungry and we ate a light dinner at Nathan's. I enjoyed my BBQ wings and Elise had a slice of pizza.

We resumed hitting the slots with no luck so we called it a night at 10:00pm.

23 July

We got up at around 8:30am and we went down for breakfast at a Italian restaurant called " Il' Foronio". Elise ordered a cheese omelet that was stuffed with cheese, she loved it. She said that it was the best omelet she has ever had. I had pancakes that were so light they could have floated off of the plate and the sausage was to die for. Maybe things will get much better today.

So we hit the slots again and no luck again. We decided to walk along the strip for awhile. We went over to the Excalibur to look for Keno slots but we could not find one. We then went to MGM Grand after walking around in there for a bit  we decided to go to the movies to see "Sex Tapes". It was very good and very funny. We enjoyed our popcorn and sodas.

After the movies we walked to CVS to pick up a few items and some bottled water. We returned to our room for a short time. We decided to try the slots again and once again no luck at all.

We went to "Nine Fine Irishmen" to meet up with JT and George. They were already there waiting on us the both of them were on scooters. They were both 3 sheets to the wind. The reason for the scooters was that JT took a tumble and hurt his left knee and he could not walk. This happened the night before so George rented two of them because JT refused to use it alone. Elise said it was pride before the fall.

George was shushing everyone everyone and driving his scooter in a very unsafe manner. JT was upset with George about the prior evening. Anyway we went into the restaurant to be seated. Our reserved table was upstairs so JT, George, and I got into this very small elevator along with the hostess. Elise walked up the stairs.

Well,  the  scooters got stuck in the elevator. It was kind of funny and embarrassing as well. With JT and George being baked I had to drive one of the scooters out of the elevators and after we walked JT over to the table. The other scooter was taken back downstairs.

We ordered up our dinner and George starting talking up a storm and shushing himself at the same time. It was hilarious and George wanted to reveal some things but JT was getting angry at him. I told JT no matter what it was that he was my son and that I love him anyway.

After dinner we got back downstairs. We walked over to the Excalibur with them to make sure they got back into the room safely. George wanted a pack of cigarettes, so Elise purchased him a pack at the cost of $10.75 a pack. Wow!

I helped JT into his bed and Elise got ice for his knee. I told JT not to go back out tonight and he promised that he would not go out again. The room was not in the best shape and George had been smoking in a non-smoking room and I was afraid that I was going to be fined because the room was in my name.

Elise and I returned to our room and we hit the sheets at 8:30pm. At 11:15pm the phone rang. It was security at Excalibur calling to to inform us the George rammed his scooter into a glass door going outside and it was damaged to the tune of $300.00.

We asked George the whereabouts of JT because he was not in the room. The room was put on lock out and George was turned over to us. He was not allowed in the Excalibur not the room. Security told us that George could have been turned over to the police for a DUI because Vegas has a law that includes scooters. We started to leave the casino and the security guy called me over to the side to say that JT has been hospitalized because he fell off of his scooter and hurt himself.

George was beside himself and I was steaming but I kept it together. We drove to the hospital and we found JT out of it totally in the ER. George started to shake JT trying to wake him up but he had been given meds to calm him down. He was being very belligerent.

JT had a few cuts on his right leg that were superficial. The doctor ordered xrays be taken of his hand and knee. We JT returned from ray he was awake and wanting to know why he was in the hospital. It is now 1:00am in the morning.

It is now 3:00am and JT has a broken hand, and his knee is badly bruised and sprained. Elise and I are exhausted. We decided that we need to return to Tucson. So we contacted the security so we could get into the room at Excalibur to get their belongings so we could check out of the room.

We check out of the room and we were charged $300.00 for the door that George ran into with his scooter. I am still waiting to see if we receive a bill for smoking in the room as well. Elise and I checked out of New York, New York as well.

Elise and I returned to the hospital to pick up JT and George. We left the hospital at 4:00am. We stopped for coffee for Elise and I because I was doing the driving back to Tucson.

The ride home was brutal and Elise kept an eye on me. JT and George were both passed out in the back seat. They were both exhaling tons of alcoholic fumes that filled the car with a sickening smell. JT's alcohol content was 0.30 and George's was way higher.

We arrive in Chandler at about 10:15am. Elise and I have been up for 26 hours and stressed. We decided not to go home because we needed to rest, relax, and sleep. We called my brother Herman to see if he could get us a good rate at a Marriott and he did. We stayed at the Williams Center here in Tucson. We showered , had a couple of Jack and Coke. It is now 5:00pm we both crashed. We slept until 8:30am the next morning. We were glad that this trip from hell was over because it could have been way worse.

We are good parents and we try to do our best for our kids and I will not allow anyone dispute that ever, but when your kids are grown adults what can you do?

25 July

After we checked out of Marriott we went to the DDC because I told Elise I needed some revenge on the Vegas slots. Well, we won at the DDC not the big payouts but we came home with more than we started with. Ha, Ha to you Vegas! Will we return to Vegas you bet we will.

You have to agree this was a trip into hell for Elise and I.
