It's A Monday!

Good Morning!

Mood: Screaming and Yelling!

Music listening to: Beat It by MJ

It's a Monday! What is new? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning but she is purring away so she may not be hitting the floor anytime soon. Any plans for today?

Well, I am yelling because I am having puter problems this morning and the printer decided to act up as well. Now this makes a Monday for sure, smile!

The coffee is good and I even had a slice of cake that Charlotte sent to me. Man it is good. I have to go to my office this morning to pick up the in-service material that I missed while we were away.

I will be taking Chris to see his doctor this afternoon so he can receive some injections. He got his flu shot yesterday. He is doing just great.

Elise and I will be hitting the DDC on Wednesday to pick up our perks and while we are there we will hit the buffet for dinner. Of course will pull a few slots as well.

Next week on Tuesday we will be heading for Las Vegas to us my players perks there. Bobby is going along with us, he has never been to Vegas. He is in for a treat! It should be a lot of fun and restful.

I hope that the puter doesn't present anymore problems today. Well, you have a good Monday and be careful out there.
Later........Jessie and Elise

Here is what happened on the second day of our trip to Florence, Italy. Enjoy!

6 Oct 12 when we arrived in Florence it was the next day due to time changes.

We checked in at the airport and we grabbed some breakfast. We had ham, eggs and toast. We got on our American Airlines flight to Miami, Florida. When we arrived there we had a two hour layover. So we walked around in the airport to kill some time.

We worked up an appetite so we grabbed a personal pan pizza and some chicken wings from Pizza Hut. It was pretty good because ham and eggs really don't stick with you for too long, smile.

We boarded our flight to Heathrow, London via British Airlines. After we got going we ordered Jack and Cokes. They really take the edge off when you are flying, smile.

During the in-flight dinner Elise ordered risotto and I ordered the steak and potatoes. Of course we shared each others dinner, like we always do. We refrained from ordering coffee but we ordered more Jack and Cokes. I bet they thought that we were a couple of drunks. We didn't care we were on vacation, right?

We took some Melatonin because we didn't get much sleep during the past two nights. We were a bit tired. The flight was great and we enjoyed watching the movies and reading our Kindles.

We arrived in London on time but we ran into a snag. After the plane taxied the ramp that you deplane on did not work. So we had to sit on the plane until it got fixed. We were about 35 minutes late and we had not been through customs yet. We had to catch our flight in Gatwick to Florence, Italy.

We knew that it was hopeless so we accepted the fact the we were going to miss our flight. So we met our driver from Heathrow and he drove us to Gatwick. We told him about our worry and he told us not to worry that we would get there on time.

So we loaded up his car and we headed for Gatwick. He picked us up in a C class Mercedes, yes a Mercedes. He told us to close our eyes and ignore his driving. He took off like a bat out of hell. He was driving between 80 and 95 mph the whole time. Wow, I was loving it.

At one point he slowed slowed down to a crawl but others were doing the same thing. What we saw next was unbelievable. On the overpass of the freeway there were three Llamas strolling on the overpass by themselves. Wow, what a sight! We were wondering were did they come from.

So we resumed our speed for Gatwick. We made it to Gatwick with plenty of time to spare. We gave our driver a 20 (Euro) tip for such great service. We checked in and we headed for our departure area.

After spending another three hours on the plane we arrived in Florence. We went through customs and we got our luggage. We went out in front of the airport to met our host Fernanda. We were glad to see her.She reminds us of our dear friend Elaine here in Arizona.

Fernada is full of life and she is talking a million miles an hour. I got off my first words in Italian and she was impressed. She gave me a (Brava)because I think I surprised her a bit. She drove us to the Tre Gigli B&B. It is located in a nice area.

We had to share a bathroom with other guests and Elise really did not like that, but she got over it very quickly. Fernanda gave us the ins and out about the B&B and she loaded us up with books and brochures of what to do and to see in Florence.

We decided to venture out to get something to eat. It is now about 3:00pm. We ate pizza, lasagna, toast with chicken liver pate', and we enjoy some good Chianti. We were sitting outside enjoying our dinner and it started to drizzle. We were under a canopy so it was very nice and we enjoyed people watching.

The name of the trattoria was Maso. The procuitto pizza was excellent and so was the lasagna. For dessert we ordered two Limencello's. Yikes that was so good. We are feeling no pain.

We made our way back to the B&B and we called it game over. It was only 5:30pm, but it has been a very, very long day.
