Howl................
Well , I just left the main house because I heard a eerie sound like a creaking door opening and then there was this blood curdling scream. I ran over to investigate and it was just Elise hitting the floor to start her day, smile.
I was so terrified that I had to get a shot of Sambuca to calm down! I know what you are saying that it is way too early to be hitting the bottle , but it is 5:00pm somewhere.
Well, here is a bit more about our adventure in Florence, Italy. Enjoy!
9 Oct 12
It is about 9:30am and we awoke lazily and drifted through our morning routine. Once again, we didn't sleep well because of the noise from the street.
We ate breakfast same as yesterday and then we set off to see the "David" and other statues, it was around 11:30am. It rained most of the morning but it stopped as we were heading out to explore. The temperature was perfect.
We walked to the "Galleria Dell' Accademia" the home of the "David".Elise finally got to feast her eyes on the pretty boy in all of his glory. She said that " He is awesome". We also looked at many more statues in the Galleria as well.
Now we were getting hungry or was it the "David " that caused Elise to say let's eat! We stopped in McDonalds, yes I said McDonalds. We like to try Micky D's every place we go because it is not the same everywhere. It was different in Germany and it is different here. The bun and the burger is not the same as what we are used to in the states. Elise got the Royal McBurger and I got a bacon cheeseburger. The food was pretty good, even though we had to pay 20 cent for ketchup, outrageous. Smile!
After our meal we walked over to the "Duomo. We are glad that we purchased our Firenze Cards because the lines were out there. We swiped our cards and we went right in.
It is a beautiful cathedral that is huge in size and the ceiling featured a painting by Michelangelo that is spectacular. Very impressive.
Then we walked to Palazzo Vecchio where there steps and we wore ourselves out. It was about 5:00pm and we decided stop at a place that had tortellini with ham. I love tortellini a ragu con carne. Elise got a pizza she said was not very good. She said that the pizza at "Oreganos" in Tucson was better and she was correct. I guess we found a place that was not the best to eat at and the vino was not the best either. Lesson learned, eh?
We returned to our B&B but for just a moment. We left out again to call Rosemary to see how Chris was doing. We looked for a public phone and we could not remember where we saw one. So we walked and walked and just as we were about to give up we stumbled on two of them.
We used our international phone card and we talked with Rosemary and all was great and Chris was doing just fine. We were relieved to hear that because that was one of our major worries.
We started our trek back to our B&B and we did not have our map with us. We should have been dropping bread crumbs as were out looking for the phone because we were in strange territory. Smile!
We had idea how to get back to our B&B. So we walked and walked until I decided that this is a serious problem. So I said to Elise let's stop at this Piazza and have a nice cold beer. Elise was game for that. We people watched and we listened to street musicians play and they were very good. We tossed in a few Euros in appreciation.
It was a beautiful evening but we still had the nagging question "Where in the hell was our B&B". We started to walk again and we were thoroughly lost. Then all of a sudden we spotted a street the we knew. We turned left on it and "Viola" we found our B&B. You can bet from now on the map goes where we go without a doubt. Come to find out that you really cannot get lost in Florence because all of the streets have you going in circles so to speak. We enjoyed the evening anyway! We called it game over for the night.

Ghost and Ghoul Time!
Ghoul Moaning!
Mood: Scared
Music listening to: Monster Mash
It's Halloween! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is deep in her tomb this morning and it doesn't look like she will be rising anytime soon. Any plans for today?
I have a couple of eerie errands to run this morning. Rosemary will be here this afternoon to care for Chris. The coffee is good this morning and I am thinking about a couple of bat cookies to go along with it.
Later in the day Elise and I will be going out to the DDC to pick up our perks before we lose them due to it being the last day of the month. Cannot let that happen, smile. We will hit the buffet while we are there and of course we will pull a few slots. I figure since it is Halloween we should have some good luck. So send us your witches, I mean wishes for good luck.
We hope that you have a spooky day and that it is loaded with fun, but be careful out there. Freddie and Jason will be trying to ruin your evening, smile. I will post more about our trip to Florence later this morning.
Boo........Jessie and Elise
Tiger,Marcie, Jet have a good day.
Loraine, how are you?
Bobby, have you rested up yet?
Jane and John, trick them with those Leaning Tower shorts this evening, smile.
Shoo and Stu, how are you feeling?
Flo and John, stay safe.

Good Night!
Good Night!
The day is just about over and it has been a peaceful one. Chris and I watched a load of horror movies this afternoon. It has been a very quiet day and temperature is perfect.
Elise prepared chili for dinner that was great. We had baby carrots, crackers and chopped onions. We watched a DVD titled "Exporting Raymond" it was very good. It showed how the producers of Everybody Loves Raymond attempt to produce the same show in Russia.
It was very interesting and it showed the many problems and drawbacks that developed in the process. Elise is checking her email right now and I and caring for Chris. Chris and I are watching the complete series of "Jason", he loves it.
Well, I had better go and check on Chris. Have a good evening and a better tomorrow. I will post more tomorrow about our trip.
Cheers..........Jessie and Elise
Tiger, Marcie, Jet sleep well. Jet prayers are being said for you to feel better soon.
Loraine, we had a great time in Florence. We walked off any weight gain and I bet we lost a few as well. Walking it Italy is a workout.
Anne, glad that you liked our info sharing on our trip.
Flo and John , you will enjoy "Exporting Raymond.

Well, Angelica is here caring for Chris and Elise has left to play bridge. I am chillin so that frees me up to post to our blog. So here goes, enjoy!
8 Oct 12
We woke up at 11:30am, can you believe that? However we didn't get much sleep until around 1:00am in the morning. There was this group of guys across the street drinking beer and talking loud. Italians do talk very loud, don't you know? So that kept us awake but it was sort of entertaining to say the least.
We ate a light breakfast that was provided by our host Fernanda. Elise had Mueseli and fruit and I had sweet bread with coffee. Elise had coffee too, and the coffee is strong and it opened our eyes wide, so we were ready to start the day.
We decided to go for a walk and checkout the sites. We did not return to our room until 5:30pm. We were out for a long time and a long, long walk. We loved every step we took.
First we went to the Duomo but we did not go inside today. Crowds were everywhere and the lines were very long. We took a break for some gelato. I have to tell you it was fantastic. We walked to the train station to look around and it is a very busy place.
We stopped at a tourist info spot and we purchased two Firenze Cards for 50 euros apiece. These cards allowed us enter any museum of ride the bus for a 72 hour period. The cards prevented us from having to stand in line to get tickets for the museums. All we had to do was to swipe our cards and we gained entry to the museums that we wanted to see. A very good deal!
We went to the Piazza Marie Novella and then we went and had a beer at a place called San Carlos. Delicioso! We just walked around to get a feel of Florence and to plan how we were going to pursue or daily ventures.
We also bought an international phone card at the train station so we could call home to see how things were going with Chris and the caregivers. We got back to the room at 5:30pm and we decided that it was time for some dinner (Ho Fame').
There is a trattoria right below us called " Trattoria il Contadina". We ordered some Chianti of course, you cannot visit the Tuscany area without having some Chianti. It was heavenly!
We both had spaghetti with ham for our first course. For our second course Elise had chicken and I had a pork cutlet. Elise also had a salad. The bread was to die for. Elise is off of her gluten-free diet on this trip and she is enjoying pasta, breads, beer etc. I also shared my fries with Elise. They were thick cut and piping hot, they were so good. I want some of them right now, smile!
For dessert we had "Limoncella and a lemon torte that would make you want to fight if someone tried to take it from you. Oh yeah the pasta was homemade, we would have a hard time trying find a place here in the Old Pueblo that makes it's own pasta fresh like this. They do though at Mama Louisa's here in Tucson. I may have to give them a call and place a to-go order shortly.
We returned to our room and we relaxed and people watched out of our window. We each read a book on our Kindles and them we called it a night. A good day in Italia.

It's a Monday! What is new? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning but she is purring away so she may not be hitting the floor anytime soon. Any plans for today?
Well, I am yelling because I am having puter problems this morning and the printer decided to act up as well. Now this makes a Monday for sure, smile!
The coffee is good and I even had a slice of cake that Charlotte sent to me. Man it is good. I have to go to my office this morning to pick up the in-service material that I missed while we were away.
I will be taking Chris to see his doctor this afternoon so he can receive some injections. He got his flu shot yesterday. He is doing just great.
Elise and I will be hitting the DDC on Wednesday to pick up our perks and while we are there we will hit the buffet for dinner. Of course will pull a few slots as well.
Next week on Tuesday we will be heading for Las Vegas to us my players perks there. Bobby is going along with us, he has never been to Vegas. He is in for a treat! It should be a lot of fun and restful.
I hope that the puter doesn't present anymore problems today. Well, you have a good Monday and be careful out there.

Here is what happened on the second day of our trip to Florence, Italy. Enjoy!
6 Oct 12 when we arrived in Florence it was the next day due to time changes.
We checked in at the airport and we grabbed some breakfast. We had ham, eggs and toast. We got on our American Airlines flight to Miami, Florida. When we arrived there we had a two hour layover. So we walked around in the airport to kill some time.
We worked up an appetite so we grabbed a personal pan pizza and some chicken wings from Pizza Hut. It was pretty good because ham and eggs really don't stick with you for too long, smile.
We boarded our flight to Heathrow, London via British Airlines. After we got going we ordered Jack and Cokes. They really take the edge off when you are flying, smile.
During the in-flight dinner Elise ordered risotto and I ordered the steak and potatoes. Of course we shared each others dinner, like we always do. We refrained from ordering coffee but we ordered more Jack and Cokes. I bet they thought that we were a couple of drunks. We didn't care we were on vacation, right?
We took some Melatonin because we didn't get much sleep during the past two nights. We were a bit tired. The flight was great and we enjoyed watching the movies and reading our Kindles.
We arrived in London on time but we ran into a snag. After the plane taxied the ramp that you deplane on did not work. So we had to sit on the plane until it got fixed. We were about 35 minutes late and we had not been through customs yet. We had to catch our flight in Gatwick to Florence, Italy.
We knew that it was hopeless so we accepted the fact the we were going to miss our flight. So we met our driver from Heathrow and he drove us to Gatwick. We told him about our worry and he told us not to worry that we would get there on time.
So we loaded up his car and we headed for Gatwick. He picked us up in a C class Mercedes, yes a Mercedes. He told us to close our eyes and ignore his driving. He took off like a bat out of hell. He was driving between 80 and 95 mph the whole time. Wow, I was loving it.
At one point he slowed slowed down to a crawl but others were doing the same thing. What we saw next was unbelievable. On the overpass of the freeway there were three Llamas strolling on the overpass by themselves. Wow, what a sight! We were wondering were did they come from.
So we resumed our speed for Gatwick. We made it to Gatwick with plenty of time to spare. We gave our driver a 20 (Euro) tip for such great service. We checked in and we headed for our departure area.
After spending another three hours on the plane we arrived in Florence. We went through customs and we got our luggage. We went out in front of the airport to met our host Fernanda. We were glad to see her.She reminds us of our dear friend Elaine here in Arizona.
Fernada is full of life and she is talking a million miles an hour. I got off my first words in Italian and she was impressed. She gave me a (Brava)because I think I surprised her a bit. She drove us to the Tre Gigli B&B. It is located in a nice area.
We had to share a bathroom with other guests and Elise really did not like that, but she got over it very quickly. Fernanda gave us the ins and out about the B&B and she loaded us up with books and brochures of what to do and to see in Florence.
We decided to venture out to get something to eat. It is now about 3:00pm. We ate pizza, lasagna, toast with chicken liver pate', and we enjoy some good Chianti. We were sitting outside enjoying our dinner and it started to drizzle. We were under a canopy so it was very nice and we enjoyed people watching.
The name of the trattoria was Maso. The procuitto pizza was excellent and so was the lasagna. For dessert we ordered two Limencello's. Yikes that was so good. We are feeling no pain.
We made our way back to the B&B and we called it game over. It was only 5:30pm, but it has been a very, very long day.

Hello!
Hello,
Well, we are back from having breakfast at the Egg Connection. It was good to see Ann, Eddie, Sara and Johnny. The food was as good as always.
Elise is caring for Chris right now and I just finished a little yard clean up. We are going to be joined this evening for dinner at Zemans by Jane and John.
We have missed them at our little gatherings.
Well here is what went on on the first day of our trip to Florence, Italy. Enjoy!
Later.......Jessie and Elise
5 Oct 12
We started our trip on Friday by driving to Phoenix. We checked in at the Residence Inn, thanks to the great rates that my brother Herman gets for us. Thank you Herman very much.
We get settled in and we have a relaxing Jack and Coke, but you knew that was coming didn't you? Smile! Later we met up with Sara at a place called " Beckett's Table".
It was good to see Sara as always. Elise ordered the salmon, I had the pork chop, and Sara had the chicken. All was very tasty, indeed.
We each ordered a cocktail. Elise had one that was similar to a drink she had in New Orleans called a "sazerac". It had bourbon, lemon, honey and a dash of bitters.
Sara had a vodka/basil infused drink that was different to say the least. I had a complicated drink that powerful, but we cannot remember the name of it.
We said our goodbyes to Sara and we headed back to the Residence Inn to get some sleep because we had to be up at 5:00am so we could catch the shuttle to the airport at 6:00am. We checked out and we left the Tacoma at the Residence Inn until we return.

Sunday!!
Good Morning,
Mood: Relaxed
Music listening to: PYT by MJ
It's a Sunday! What's shakin bacon? I started the day off at 4:50am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for Elise. Speaking of Elise, she is deep in her cave this morning, but she will be up shortly. I am sure that after she sees how Chris is this morning that she will return to her cave for a short visit, smile! Any plans for today?
Well, our Wildcats beat USC in a game that was a real nail biter. It was a very good game. Go Cats! Later we enjoyed blackeyed peas with ham cubes, and cornbread for dinner. It was so good. We also watched a DVD documentary titled " Tapped" it was about the bottled water industry and what problems it is causing the planet. It was very educational.
We are going to meet up with Elise's sister and Ann and a few of the family members this morning at the Egg Connection for breakfast. They were up here to see Sara compete in a weight lifting competition. Sara, won first place in her division. Way to go Sara!
We would have attended the event but we were not informed of the time nor the location so we missed it, but we were there in spirit.
We are going to meet up with the crew this evening at Zemans this evening to catch up on the happenings while we were away. It should be a good evening, it always is.
Well, I had better get busy. Have a great Sunday and stay safe. I will post to our blog this afternoon about the first day of our Florence adventure.
Later..........Jessie and Elise
Tiger, Marcie, Jet have a good day. Tiger how are you feeling today?
Jane and John sorry to hear that the Lang Lang concert was canceled.
Loraine, have a good one.
Shoo, Stu, Paula, Marty see you this evening.
Nicolette, how are you doing?
Charlotte, thank you so much for the wonderful cake. I enjoyed a slice this morning with my coffee. You are way too kind.

Thirsty Thursday!
Buon Giorno!
Mood: Content
Music listening to: Because I Love You by Stevie B
It's a Thirty Thursday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:35am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning as a matter of fact she is awake. Can you believe that? I am positive that she will be heading for the pool very soon. Any plans for today?
The coffee is good and hot this morning and I will have a glass of instant breakfast to give me that extra kick to get this day rolling. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris, and Rosie will be here this afternoon.
What did you think of the debate last night? Did you fall asleep during it? Smile. We watched it along with Bobby as we consumed our burgers, fries and cocktails.
Elise and I are going to go the movies this afternoon and we are going to meet up with the crew of Toni, Lee, and Lois at Leo's for Mexican food this evening. Yes, we will be saying another margarita please!
I just finished paying all of my bills prior to our trip to Florence. Chris and Elise will be getting a massage from Pam this morning. While they are I will dash out to the DDC to pick up our perks and I will pull a few slots. Wish me luck, OK?
Well, I had better get myself together. Have a great day and be careful out there.
Cin, cin........Jessie and Elise
Tiger, Marcie, let's get a move on.
Loraine, have a good day.
Jane and John, wake up!
Flo and John, stay safe.
Shoo and Stu, have a good one.
Olivia, how are things in the GA?
Herman, we will give you a call or text tomorrow after we check in.
Ross and Denise, have a wonderful day.
Janice, how are things? How is Frank?
