Monday The Day After!

Good Morning

Mood: Mellow

Music listening to: Being With You by Smokey Robinson (classic R&B)

It's a Monday and the day after Christmas! How are you doing? I started the day off a 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave and she is purring like a cat this morning. Any plans for today?

The coffee is great and the donut that I had along with it was very good. So how was your Christmas? Ours was very nice and quiet and we got a visit from Shannon,Hunter. Shannon is looking very good and she is very busy being lawyer in the Marine Corps.

Well, our prime rib turned very well and I had to give myself a pat on the back.

It was moist, juicy and nice an pink in the middle. We had a salad, peas and a baked potato to top things off. We also had champagne and of course some red as well. It was a great Christmas dinner. Chris caregiver enjoyed the dinner as well. After dinner Elise and I went to see the movie "Puncture" and it was very good. It was about a nurse who got stuck by a needle by accident and she contracted Aids. It showed the efforts of the lawyers fight with medical suppliers to get a safe needle in their inventory. Excellent movie and one that will stick with you for days.

I am still sorting out the Christmas pics from Bisbee, I will post a few very soon. The above pics are of Elise at "Fleming" for her birthday. Here is what we had for her special day.

We started off with Wicked Cajun Barbecue Shrimp, marinated with a flair of garlic and spices. We had a very nice Kendall Jackson Cab as well and we had it decantered. Elise had a Lite Filet Mignon served with Fleming's potatoes which is the house specialty with cream, jalapenos and Cheddar cheese. I had the Double Thick Cut Pork Rib Chop with julienne of apples and jicama, apple cider and creole mustard glaze. We also shared Chipotle Cheddar Mac and Cheese and we also had sauteed French Green Beans. What a meal!

Elise was treated to a huge Creme Brulee that was fantastic. I believe that she enjoyed her birthday outing very much. Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a good day even if it is a Monday. We hope that your Christmas was a very good one. My son JT did not come down from Tempe and that was a bit disappointing for me but life goes on, eh?

Later............

Tiger, Marcie, Jet have a good one.

Sounds like you had a great Christmas. We did too. Tried some of Tucson tamales for Christmas dinner and they are soooo good!
Had chocolate and eggnog swirl pie for dessert. Very decadent but it was Christmas!
