Good Night!!

Good Night,

Well the day has come to an end and it has been a wet one. We are supposed to get even more rain tomorrow. Elise is checking her email and I am caring for Chris this evening. We met his new case manager and she is nice but I am concerned about her people skills. We will see if that improves with time and she gets to know Chris better.

We went to very nice concert last night to see our good friend John and his son sing. Let me tell you they both are really talented and we were glad that we went. It was also good to see Jane as well. Later in the evening Elise and I went to Oregano's for some thin crust pizza and vino. I was as good as ever and for dessert we each had a Bellini. A good way to end a evening!

Well, here is a what went on while we were in Vegas for our very short vacation:

7 Dec 11

We left Tucson at 9:00am after we had breakfast at Robert's. Elise had ham, eggs and potatoes. I had chicken fried chicken, eggs and potatoes. We both had plenty of coffee.

We were on our way. We stopped for gas and we made a pit stop and we took a much need stretch as well. We arrived in Vegas at 4:00pm and we checked into New York, New York. We got settled and we downed a Jack and Coke to christen the vacation.

We hit the casino and the winning had begun. Smile! We spent $331.00 and we won $886.00. Then to top that off I put $20.00 in a dollar machine and I won $96.00 more. So Elise put in $4.00 in the dollar machine and she won $76.00. Woo Hoo!!!

We tried another machine and things stared to go downhill so we quit. So we sat at one of the bars to order some dinner to go. We some fish tacos, nachos, chicken wings, beans and rice. We head up to our room to eat and we had a few more Jacks of course. A good day in Vegas so far.

We started the day at 8:00am and we got dressed and we went down to the American Grill. Elise had oatmeal with the works and I had ham potatoes, eggs and toast. Again we both had coffee.

We gambles for a short time and we started to lose so we went for a walk on the Strip. We stopped at the Paris casino and we played for a short while and we lost. We left Paris and we went to Bill's Casino and we won a little bit there. Overall we were down $100.00.

We tried to get tickets for the Michael Jackson show but it was all sold out. We also tried to get tickets for Cirque de Solei but the next show was not until Friday night so that was not an option. So we made reservations "Gallagher's" a steak house in New York, New York. It is very expensive! I guess you can call us irresponsible, eh?

Elise had the fillet ($43.00) and I had the pork chops ($27.00). We shared fries and a huge backed potato ($8.00 per item). We shared a bottle of red that was good ($36.00).So the bill was about $140.00 plus tip, but it was a very good dinner and we both enjoyed it. After dinner we called it a night.

I stayed out a little late last night to try my luck at the slots with no luck at all. Elise got up at 8:00am and I had a little trouble getting up.Can you believe that? Smile! We checked out and we started home,it was about 10:15am. We arrived back in Tucson at around 6:30pm. We stopped in Kingman top eat breakfast at (IHOP). We listened to a book on CD called "Gabby" the story of Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly after the shooting here in Tucson. It is a very good book and it reminded Elise of her trails with Chris's accident. It caused her to relive the trauma some 19 years ago.

We went to Cody's Beef and Bean for dinner after we unloaded the Prius and rested a bit. Elise had the baby back ribs, fries, and I had the prime rib. We also shared a carafe of Burgundy as well. This was the end of our vacation and it was a lot of fun.

Well there you have it short but we loved every minute. Now we have to decide were we are going next, smile!
