How is your Hump Day going so far? It is going OK here in the valley of Tucson. The Eco tech is here doing his thing with the A/C ducts.

I am starting to get a bit hungry this morning. I may have to breakdown and get something to eat. My yogurt is not doing it this morning at all, but it was good.

Here is a what happened on the first day of our trip to Hollywood. Enjoy!

We left the house at around 8:30am. Jayne is caring for Chris this trip. We meet up with Bobby at the "Egg Connection" for breakfast. The food is as good as ever. We hit the road at 9:30am making our way westward. It was a good drive with no major problems traffic wise. We are listening to a book o CD that is very good.

We arrived in Hollywood at 4:30pm and we found our studio apartment that Elise had reserve for us to stay in during our time there. It is pretty nice but small place that suited us perfectly. As soon as we unloaded the Prius it was time for a Jack and Coke. Well, a couple of Jack and Cokes, and they were spot on.

IT'S TIME FOR A JACK AND COKE

We contacted Zack our nephew to let him now that we had arrived and that we would be over to see him in a few hours. He had just got off of work and he was winding down.

We walked over to Zacks' home which is about a 15 minute walk from where we are staying. Our studio is in a perfect with everything right near by.

Zack gave us the tour of his home and it is a very nice place. We started to get hungry and my stomach and I was having a conversation and it was winning. Smile!

We walked over to a Japanese place called "Tatsu". It is a noodle house and it is packed with people. It was cool. You place your order on a monitor and pay for it there. You are given a table and your food is delivered to you post haste.

We enjoyed 3 different broths for our noodles. We also enjoy rice, spinach, and corn. The noodles are all homemade fresh. It was all good and very filling.

After dinner Zack took us too a place called the "Key Lounge". It is a hidden speak-easy that if you didn't know it was there you would miss it totally. The greeter at the door is in a suit and spats, so cool!

We sat at the bar and Zack is well known by the bartender whose name is also Zack. Zack treated us to a few drinks. The place is packed with people and it is loud with a live band and singers.

I had two drinks called "Penicillin" made with two different scotches. It was potent and very good. Elise had a "Clover Club made with gin, raspberry liquor and egg whites. Elise enjoyed it and I sampled it and it was very good. She also sampled mine as well.

We said our good nights to Zack and we staggered back to our studio. We called it game over. A good start to our visit to Hollywood.
