It's Sunday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:50am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is in her cave this morning but I can hear some grumbling and growling so she will be up shortly. Any plans for today?
The coffee is good and hot on this rainy day here in Tucson. Well, I have named yesterday as Super Saturday. It was a great day and the reason for that is just this.
Our Arizona Wildcats, had a wonderful day yesterday. Our football team won their bowl game against Nevada with only a few seconds left to play and they won by only one point.
Our basketball team beat Florida within the last few seconds of the game by one point as well. That made for a Super Saturday, indeed. Wonderful day! GO Cat's!
Elise and I had a wonderful dinner last night at Casa Vicente in downtown Tucson. We started of with a glass of Abrazo very nice red. We opted out to make this a Tapas night and what a good choice that was.
We shared blackeyed pea and rice soup. Ensalada Rusa, Croquetas de Jamon, Gambones, Lampchops, and for dessert we had Helado Valencias. Excellent meal. We also listened to live music, a Spanish guitar player who was very good.
After dinner we walked over to the Arizona Theater Company to see the musical "Emma". It was very good and the stage work was great and the performance was outstanding and it deserved the standing ovation that it got. Great show! Good choice Elise!
We returned home and I checked on Chris and we hit the sheets. Elise read a book and I continued a book that I have been reading on my Kindle. It did not take long before it was lights out. A Super Day in the Old Pueblo.
This morning we are going to meet, Paula, Marty, Shoo, Stu, at Cafe Ala Carte' downtown next to the Art Museum for brunch. It should be a lot of fun and the food is very good there.
Rosie will be here to care for Chris at 1:00pm. We will be going to the movies later today. We are also going to to listen to the Arizona Repertory Singers perform at 3:00pm. Jane's John is a member and they put on a wonderful concert.
Well, I had better get myself together. Have a great Sunday and enjoy. Let's make it a Super Sunday too!
