    It's a Monday! How are you doing? I started the day off early at 4:30am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave but I don't think that she will be getting up soon,smile! Any plans for today?


    The coffee is good and the donut was excellent,smile. We are all packed and ready to head out to Phoenix at around 1:00pm. Angelica will be here at 1:00pm to care for Chris.


    We are going to go out for breakfast at "Gus Balones" we love it there. After that I will stop at Vantage West CU to check my accounts prior to leaving for France.


     We will not be taking our laptop this trip but we may be able to use Odette's while we are there. We will have our cellphones and we hope that they work.


     Well, I had better get ready for breakfast. Have a great day and we will chat at you when we return.

Well, the weekend has come to a close. It has been a very good one. We had a very nice breakfast with Bobby this morning at the Egg Connection.

We returned home and Elise cared for Chris. I went to get the Tacoma gassed up and I got my ears lowered as well. 


I returned home and I closed my suitcase I hope for the final time. We watched a few episodes of "Nurse Jackie" with Chris. We also played some golf on the Wii.


Rosie arrived to care for Chris. We left for Joe's Crab Shack to meet up with Bobby and Jane. We had a very nice meal and we shared many laughs. It was good to see Jane and to get a progress report on John. If all goes well Papa John may get to go home tomorrow.


We will load up the Tacoma tomorrow morning. After Angelica arrives to care for Chris we will head out to Phoenix and check into the Springhill Suites Tempe Airport.


Elise is checking her email and I am watching TV. I will check on Chris after Rosie leaves tonight. I will log on tomorrow before we head out. Have a good night.

     It's Sunday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:30am. I was awakened by the alarm clock that Elise had set. Yes, I said 4:30am, she had forgot to change the time for a wake up. It was set for her trip to New Orleans. So Elise came over early to care for Chris, but wait now she is back in her cave, smile. Any plans for today?


     The coffee is good and I am looking at a crumb donut the Elise bought for me. I have to tell you the donut lost and it was good. We are going out for breakfast this morning with Bobby. We will be going to the "Egg Connection" one of our favorite places.


     Later in the day after Rosie arrives to care for Chris will may take in a movie. I will closing up my suitcase today for our trip to France.We are looking forward to it.


     We played Wii yesterday and Elise got me good playing tennis, but I kicked butt playing golf. Lot's of fun. We watched Cars 2 with Chris and we watched "Nurse Jackie" it is very good. I will be getting my haircut today out on the air base so I can turn a few heads in France, smile! 


      Papa John is back in ICU due to his sodium levels are not were they should be. Please continue to send out those prayers for him and Jane.

      It's the Weekend! What's you deal? I started the day off at 4:50am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is not in her cave this morning, but she is calling all ships in out of the fog,smile. I am positive that as soon as her mission is complete she will be headed for a swim. Any plans for today?


       The java is good and hot and I am still thinking about donuts. What's up with that? We got a nice rain last night and it looks like more is on the way. We will be picking up the Tacoma this morning from having all of it's services due and repairs. A very costly venture!


       John will be here this morning to care for Chris. And Rosie will be here this evening. Well, Elise has closed up her suitcase for France. Mine is still open but it will be closed up today. I have to get a couple of plug adapters for our phones and Kindle. We are still wondering about how many (Euros) to buy at the airport on Monday.


      Well, I had better get this party started, eh? Have a good weekend.

The day has come to a close and it has been a pretty good one. We got some rain today and some good wind action.


We just got back from having dinner at Cody's Beef and Bean. The food was excellent as usual. Bobby got the steak and shrimp special, and Elise and I got the T-Bone special. Bobby downed a few beers and Elise and I downed our carafe of Burgundy. 


We returned home and Elise has hit the sheets to read. I am watching TV until I check on Chris after Marv leaves for the night.It has gotten to the point now that Elise has turned on the A/C and she turned off the Evap cooler.


I want to thank everyone who has been sending out prayers for Papa John. We got word from Jane that he has been up walking today, and he is gaining his strength back. His blood pressure is starting to come down and the pic line that was put in has raised his sodium up to a nice level. If he continues to progress he may get to come home tomorrow or Sunday. That is great news. I will keep you posted as I get info from Jane. WooHoo!

     TGIF!! WooHoo! How are you? I started the day off at 4:50am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning, but I don't think that she will be getting up early this morning. Any plans for today?


     The coffee is good and hot and I am thinking about a glazed donut. That is all I will be doing because I don't have any. Bummer! 


     We saw the movie " Magic Mike" yesterday and it was pretty good for a "chick flick". I was glad that I was not the only male in attendance, smile!


    After the movie we went on the airbase to pick up some last minute items for our trip to Nice, France. We returned home and Elise fixed breakfast for dinner. We had crisp bacon, eggs, hash browns, and toast. We watched a few episodes of "Breaking Bad" and we downed a few vodka tonics. A good evening. Angelica was caring for Chris instead of Rosie due to she called in sick.


    Elise is hosting a marathon bridge game here this afternoon. I am going to give the bidders a break and not put their cars up for sale this afternoon. I will be packing up my suitcase  for France. Don't get me wrong I am not getting soft on them, I am just busy today. I will be on that attack more than ever when they have the next bridge game for sure.


    We are going to Cody's Beef and Beans this evening. 
Bobby will be joining us for dinner this evening Can you say T-bone? We will so just that at Cody's tonight. Marv will be here this evening to care for Chris.


     Well, I had better get to it. Have a good Friday and a better tomorrow. Please,continue to send out prayers for Papa John and Jane. Papa John is still hospitalized, we want him back home right now. Thanks!

    It's a Thirsty Thursday! What it is? I started the day off at 4:35am caring for Chris. Elise is not in here cave this morning and I am sure that she will be headed for the gym this morning. Any plans for today?


    The coffee is good and I need something to go along with it,but what? Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris and Rosie will be here this afternoon.


     I did not sleep well at all last night for some reason. Elise came home yesterday and she was not feeling well. Maybe it is the time change or she is feeling some after effects from visiting New Orleans.


     We may go to the movies this afternoon. We watched a few episodes of "Breaking Bad" last night and man it is so good. We will see "Magic Mike" a true chick flick and I hope that I am not the only guy in the theater, smile. If so I just may nod off.


     We are getting more and more excited about our trip to Nice,France. We will be busy making sure we have what we need to pack. Please continue those prayer for Papa John and Jane. Papa John will be having a procedure done today and we hope the problem will have been taken care of.

How are you doing? Well, things are taking a turn today that may cause mucho greenbacks to be spent. I just got a call about the Tacoma that we took for routine services this morning.


Well, it is time to replace the timing belt, and the front struts are starting to leak and there is a coolant leak somewhere. $$$$$$$$, oh no! We are waiting on a call from the shop to see what the problem really is.


I got a call from Ann to let us know that her plane will be in at 1:00am and she needs to be picked up. Elise is at her book club so as soon as Rosie arrives it is off to the airport I go. Looks like Monday has returned to replace this Hump Day.


It is 93 degrees here in Tucson and no rain is in sight. We could use a bit more. Well, I had better get Chris up so he can be ready for Rosie when she arrives.

       Hump Day is here! How are you? I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave but I think that she will not be getting up early this morning. I think she is getting back into Arizona time frame, smile! Any plans for today?

      The coffee is good and a bowl of oats is in sight. We will be taking the Tacoma in for routine service this morning. We are going to drive it up to Phoenix when we leave for France on Monday.

      We will begin our packing in a couple of days and checking to make sure that we have what we need to get by. Rosie will be here this afternoon to care for Chris.

Tuesday is almost over. It has been a good day, but we did not get a drop of rain at all today. It is good to have Elise back home, I missed her a lot.


Chris and I relaxed this afternoon. We watched TV and listened to some jazz that Elise brought back for New Orleans and it is very good. All I needed was a mess of crayfish and I would have been all set,smile.


Elise was busy with her appointments today. She prepared some homemade waffles, sausages, and plenty of coffee. It beats a PB and J by leaps and bounds. We watched a few episodes of "Nurse Jackie" with Chris he loves it and so do we.


I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is catching up on her email. We sat down this evening to go over our packing list for France and we discussed about how many (Euros) we should get prior to leaving Phoenix. We are going to try to pack as light as we can, but most of the time we overdo it.


Once again my brother Herman has gotten us some good rates at a Marriott hotel in Phoenix for the night before our departure and for our return to Phoenix. He really saves us a lot and we are grateful for him.


Well, I had better go and check on Chris. Have a great night and sleep well. Please keep those prayers going for Papa John and Jane. Papa John is resting and in the next couple of days we hope that he is up and about. Thank you all!

      Tricky Tuesday is here! What's shaking bacon? I started the day off at 4:50am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning, yes I said Elise. She as been awol for a few days. She is up and out headed for the pool. Any plans for today?


       The coffee is nice and hot and freshly brewed. I am thinking about a bowl of oats, yes it is going to happen,smile. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris.


       Elise got in last night from New Orleans and her plane was delayed due to the weather. We got some pretty good storms here in Tucson last night and it rain off and on all day yesterday. It looks like more is on the way for today. I am looking forward to hearing about what went on in the Big Easy.


       Elise brought back the tee-shirts and some very, very hot salsa. I put just a drop on my tongue and I wanted to run into a wall. It really is hot and it is called "Death by Salsa", it is so good!


        Well, I stand corrected Elise is still here. She is in her cave, my bad. I guess the Big Easy was a bit too much for her, smile! The rest of the week is going to be a busy one due to we will be getting things in order of our trip to Nice, France. We leave on the 23rd and we will return on 1 Aug 12.


        We are looking forward to this trip and planning has to be just right. Well, I had better get to it. Have a good day and stay safe and enjoy.

Good Afternoon


How are things going for you on this Monday? It is starting to cloud up here in the Old Pueblo and it looks like we are in for some more rain.


Chris and I are relaxing and looking at the clouds build up. I just received a call from Jane a few minutes ago. Papa John is going in for another surgery later today at around 3:00pm. They are going to insert a lumbar drain in the areas of C4 and C5 to try to fix his spinal fluid leak. Poor Papa John this will make his third back surgery in a matter of weeks.


This has to be taking it's toll on Jane for sure, you can hear it in her voice. She is a trooper though with amazing resolve and faith. Once again I am asking for all of the prayers and well wishes for John and Jane because it is a very rough time for them and the family.


I will be picking Elise up this evening at TIA at around 8:00pm tonight. I hope that she doesn't run into any delays weather wise.

     The coffee is good this morning, nice and hot. I have to run an errand early this morning. We got a nice rain last evening and the washes were running big time. In some parts of Tucson some damage was seen ie; trees down, power poles snapped, and power outages. It was a good soaking.

Well, it is raining, wind is blowing, thunder boomers and lightening here in the valley. Rosie is here caring for Chris.


I have tried to contact Elise but no luck at all today. I guess the Cat has forgotten about the (mouse) here at home,eh?


I am about to fix myself some dinner. A TV dinner, sad, really sad. Oh well! I got some news this evening that our dear friend Papa John is not getting out of the hospital today like we were told. Papa John has had two back surgeries recently and he continues to collect spinal fluid in his back. I am sure that this is really taking a toll on his wife Jane. I am asking for prayers for them so that things will get better and Papa John can come home.


Well, I had better get my dinner cooked. Have a great evening and beware tomorrow is a Monday.

     Rosie will be here this evening to care for Chris. I heard from Elise late last night and she is having a good time in New Orleans with her sister and niece.

Well, the day is almost over and it has been a long one. Chris and I watched a little TV and we cooled off on the front porch for a while. 


I have not heard anything from Elise so I guess she is having a good time. I am going to fix myself a little something for dinner, maybe a PB&J sandwich, smile.

     It's the weekend! How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. It is a overcast morning here in the Old Pueblo and I hope that it rains today. Any plans for today?


      I am waiting on the coffee to finish brewing and I will have a scone with it this morning. John will be here this morning to care for Chris. Also the installer is supposed to be here at 9:00am for the dishwasher.


       I heard from Elise last night at around 8:30pm our time. They are having a good time, and she said that they have been walking all over the French Quarter. They are enjoying the food and the music.


       Well, I had better check on Chris and get the fur-babies fed. Have a good day and be careful out there.

Well, the day is just about over and it has been a different kind of day. It all changed when the guy called to say that he could not come to install the  dishwasher until tomorrow.


Chris and I had a "Family Guy Fest" and he really enjoyed that very much. I got a call from Bobby to let me know about happy hour at "Joe's Crab Shack" at 5:30 pm. I could not join the gang until after Marv arrived at 6:00 pm  and I did.


It was Bobby, Jane and Nicolette and I. I ordered a Mojito and some popcorn shrimp and fries. We were there for a short while and then we all went over to St. Joseph's hospital to see Jane's husband John who is recovering from back surgery. We only stayed for a few minutes so he could get his rest.


Now I am at home watching TV. After Marv leaves for the night I will check on Chris and then I will hit the sheets and read on my Kindle. I have not heard anything from Elise as of yet, but she will call later I hope so. She maybe having too much fun and she forgot about her husband back here in the desert.

      TGIF!!  How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:00am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. I am up early due to I have to take Elise and her sister Ann to the airport. They are headed for New Orleans for some girl time. They will meet up with Ann's daughter Sara in New Orleans.


      So that means the that the Cat's away and this mouse will get out and play, smile! I have to take Chris to his doctor's appointment to get his Botox injections at 10:00am. Bobby will go with me so he can know where to go and learn how to load Chris in the van and drive him around.


     Well, I am back home and Bobby did an excellent job of getting Chris in and out of his van. There is a guy coming by at 1:00pm to give an estimate on how much to do some plumbing and and electrical work to install a new dishwasher.


      So this mouse just cannot catch a break, not good at all. If all goes well I will get together with Bobby, Jane and Nicolette for Happy Hour. Marv will be here this evening to care for Chris. So far this mouse is stuck in a trap, smile!


      It is 87 degrees right now and it is supposed to reach 100 today. We are supposed to get some rain, we will see about that. It is overcast and cloudy though,but that may be a trick or a mirage.


      I would like to go to the DDC for a short while,but it is not looking like that is going to happen. I have to find out what the charge will be for the dishwasher installation first.


      My tattoo is looking better and better everyday. I will take a pic of it to share with you very soon. Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a great Friday.

     The coffee is good and I am having a scone to go along with it. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris and Rosie will be here this evening to care for Chris.


     Elise and I are going to the movies this afternoon and that is about it that we have planned for today. We are waiting around for our new dishwasher to be delivered and installed this morning, due to ours giving up the ghost yesterday.


     We had a very nice time last night at Sushi Garden with Bobby. The food was very good and the place was packed. It has really changed inside since we last visited there. Then it was Elle's Wine Bar. I have posted a pic of one of our chow down items. Can you say "Wasabi'?

     Hump Day is here! How are you? I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning, but I think that she will remain in the sheets for awhile this morning. Any plans for today?


      The coffee is good and a bowl of oats is on deck. I started the day off by saying "Happy Birthday Mum". Today Mum would have been 97 years old. Today will be a day of reflection in memory of her. She is missed very much, but her presence will always be felt here in our home and in our hearts and in our soul.


       Rosie will be here this afternoon the care for Chris. I will make my 2:00pm appointment to have a new tattoo done. It was a gift from Elise for my birthday. We are going out for Sushi with Bobby this evening. We more than likely will hit the new place over on Broadway. Can you say "Wasabi"? I will several times, smile.


       Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a good Hump Day and be careful.
