Good Morning

Mood: Concerned

Music listening to: We Belong Together by Mariah Carey

How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is still asleep and that is good. She was up a couple of times during the night to get her meds. For the most part she slept well during the night. Normally Elise would be caring for Chris this morning, but she needs to rest so I am taking over. Any plans for today?

I cancelled our reservations for "Kingfisher" last night and we did not make it to the Berger Center for the Invisible Theatre presentation. It was a rainy day here in Tucson yesterday and a bit cold but it should start to warm up today or tomorrow. I did some yard work early yesterday morning before the rain started. I will get a a few more things done as it starts to warm back up. I will get Elise to see her primary doctor on Monday if I can to see about getting a CT or a MRI to see what is going on with her back.

Well, I had better get to it. Have a good Sunday and stay safe. Thank you all for the kind thoughts and wishes for Elise.

Mood: Still Frisky!

Music listening to: Payback by James Brown (classic R&B)

TGIF!! Yes it is. How are you? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise was counting stars this morning until I woke her up so she could assist me with Chris as she wished. Any plans for today?

We saw the movie " Jane Eyre" and let me tell you it is very good. Even though Elise had to nudge me a couple of times because I was nodding off. I was not feeling well due to a sore throat and some chest congestion going on. The movie was good and we would recommend it.

Later in the evening we went to "Sir Veza's for dinner and it was very good. We sat out on the patio on Speedway to watch the traffic and to people watch. I love to people watch, yes I do. We started off with a pitcher of margaritas and was it good. We shared a order of 100 + Octane wings that we good but not really that hot. I like it to be able to burn paint off of the wall, smile! Elise got tacos and they had hot dogs in it and I loved it. I ordered the mini Sonoran hot dogs and wow it was great.

We returned home and we worked on crossword puzzles until Elise had to hit the sheets. I stayed up and watched TV until Angelica left for the evening. I checked on Chris and I too called it game over. We are going to go to see the movie "Gun Hill Road" at the Crossroads theatre this evening after Marv arrives to care for Chris. It is part of Tucson Film Festival a annual event here in the Old Pueblo. After that we are going to Buddy's Grill for dinner. Can you say huge pork chops, we can and we will. Smile!

Well, I had better get to it. Elise is back in between the sheets resting and applying heat to her lower back. Have a good Friday and a great weekend.

Later...........

How did your day go? I got my errands taken care of while Angelica was here this morning caring for Chris. Elise went to play bridge this morning and she did not do any of her workouts. Her bug is getting better but her back is still giving her a problem. She has an appointment tomorrow to have it looked at. She may need to see a physical therapist for a workout.

We had breakfast for dinner tonight. We had homemade waffles, sausages, and hot coffee. It was very good. We also watched another episode of Hawaii 5 -O with Chris. I am caring for Chris this evening and he is in a good mood and talking up a storm.

Well, I had better get back to work with Chris. Have a good night.

Cheers.............

Good Night

Go UCONN!!

Good Night

How did your day go? Well things were quiet and restful here in Tucson today. I talked to my sister Tiger in Lebanon, Tennessee early today to see how things were going there due to the storms that are in her area. She is OK but she was worried about what was going to happen next there.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is feeling a bit better she is at her singing chorus practicing for a upcoming concert. I will say that she is at 75% or a bit more. We watched the DVD "How To Train A Dragon" with Chris, he enjoyed it very much and it wasn't bad at all.

Oh I forgot to mention while we were at Fire and Spice we sat next to Reggie Gerrie a former Wildcat player and asst coach. He asked Elise and I if we would trade our Gaslight tickets for what he had won. Well, I had better get Chris settled for the night. Have a good evening.

Cheers............

Tiger, glad that you are safe at home from the storms.

Marcie, Jet have a good night.

It's A Monday For Sure!

Good Morning

Mood: Chillin'

Music listening to: Tears Of A Clown by Smokey Robinson (classic R&B)

It's a Monday alright, smile. How are you doing? I started the day at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is still floating in the clouds this morning but she will be up and running shortly. She is still not feeling well due to the bug she has is hanging on and doesn't want to go away. Also her lower back is still bothering her so she has slowed down quite a bit. Any plans for today?

We had a very nice time in Mesa, AZ on Saturday. We attended a memorial service that was held at a church and it was nicely done. For the most part we rested and relaxed on this very, very short stay. Last Friday we went to "Fire and Spice" for dinner and we had a good time there.

There was no live jazz that night but a fundraiser was going on out on the patio area. We got to dine at a table that was on the patio and we listened to the band that was playing and they were very good. Our meal was excellent and the bottle of red was nice too! Somehow we became part of the fundraiser that was going on. We purchased 5 tickets to try our luck at shooting baskets to double our tickets. So being the Wildcat that I am I made my first shot perfectly, but my second shot fell just a bit short. So instead of 5 tickets we had 10 tickets for the prizes that were being offered.

Well, we won a $25.00 certificate for Buffalo Wings and Things over on Irvington. We also won a $10.00 gift card and a coupon for a free lettuce wrap at Pei Wei. Great, huh? Well that is not all let me tell you. They began to pass around shots of Patron Tequila and if you were one of the lucky ones to have a stick on the bottom of your shot glass you had a prize coming. Well, Elise's glass had one and I took it up and I had to say my name and Elise' won 4 tickets to the

Gaslight Theatre to be used before October 2011. We love going to the Gaslight and watching the live shows that they put on. What an evening here in the Old Pueblo, eh? We had dinner last night from Pei Wei while we watched another episode of Hawaii Five O.

Well, I had better get busy. Have a good Monday but stay safe.

Later................

Tiger, Marcie, Jet, have a good day.

Herman, thank you for making our stay in Mesa a good one. We like Springhill Suites a lot.

Erika, I hope that you feel better real soon.

Mary and Bob, thank you for the tags.

JT, thanks for contacting us about your doc visit.

Sheila, good to hear from you. I will pass on your request for Elise to read the comments to your blog. Yes, we are coming to the cabin.

Susie, how are you? It was good to see Roy again at the memorial in Mesa.

Loraine, how are things?

Jane and John, any plans for today?

TGIF!!

Good Morning

Mood: Frisky

Music listening to: Do Your Thang by I. Hayes (classic R&B)

TGIF!! What is up? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is sound asleep and purring like a kitten. Not to worry she will be up and about soon and kicking butt, smile! Any plans for today?

The coffee is good this morning and I am going to have a second cup and a sausage biscuit to go along with it. We went to the movies yesterday and we say "Paul" and let me tell you it was hilarious. It is about a ET type alien who meets to guys on a road trip and they have so really weird but great adventure. Go see it,it is worth it.

Later in the evening we went to Cody's Beef & Bean for dinner and the food is great there. We had carafe of Burgundy, a salad, and bread. Elise got the filet with a baked potato. I got the 24 ounce sirloin with steak fries. No, I did not eat it all at one sitting but it was so good. I may tackle it a bit later today or I will leave it for Marv for when he comes to care for Chris this evening.

I have a errand to run this morning and we are going out to dinner at "Fire & Spice" at the Sheraton hotel. The food is good there and they have great live music. Well, I had better get a move on. Have a great Friday and a better tomorrow. We will be headed for Mesa tomorrow morning and we will return on Sunday.

Later...............
