How are you? I started the day off at 5:30am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is caring for Chris this morning. It is a very cool 41 degrees this morning and the coffee is just perfect. Any plans for the weekend?

We had a very nice visit yesterday from my son JT, it is always good to see him. We also had a wonderful evening with Nanci and Jeff. It is good to hear how things are going with their everyday and to hear about what is new up at the property in New Mexico. We guzzled down a couple bottles of red with our dinner. We had salad, grilled steaks, and baked potatoes. We even had dessert that consisted of a second birthday cake for me with ice cream. More candles too!

I have to run a few errands this morning while Elise is caring for Chris. We are going to visit Loraine and Jim for dinner this evening after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris. Should be lots of fun. Well, I had better get busy and get this Saturday moving along. Have a great day and enjoy.

Later...............

Good Morning Jeanne.

Tiger, Marcie, Jet, let's get this day morphing, smile.

Music listening to: Forget Me Not's by Patrice Rushan

TGIF!! How are things? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is counting diamondbacks this morning but she will be slithering along very soon. I want to thank everyone for making my birthday a very good one. Thank you for all of the gifts, cards, emails and phone calls.

Any plans for today? I have to run a few errands later in the day and that is about it. We are having company for dinner this evening. Nanci and Jeff will be by for some steaks cooked over the grill and if it gets cool enough we may sit around the fire pit in the backyard and catch up on what has been going on with them. Marv will be here this evening to care for Chris.

Elise took me out for a birthday dinner last night at Pinnacle Peak one of our favorite places to dine. We meet Susie Taylor there a long time friend of Elise's. I have nicknamed her the Nomad because she is always on the go and she loves to travel all by herself, a amazing and comical lady. It was so good to see her again. We ate well let me tell you. Elise had the cowboy steak and so did I. Susie had a filet. We all had a salad and we shared beans, and bread. Elise had a baked potato and I had mashed with gravy. A grand way to end my birthday.

Earlier in the afternoon Kecia and her daughter Q stopped by to bring me a gift for my birthday. That was very nice of them and I appreciated it very much. Well,I had better get busy with Chris. Thank you all again for helping me to start a new year off with a bang.

Later...............

My Special Day

Good Morning

Mood: Happy, Blessed

Music listening to: Turn The Beat Around

How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:45am caring for Chris. Elise is still catching horny toads this morning but as always she will be on the move soon. Any plans for today? Today is my day due to it is my birthday and I am glad to be here to see another one go by.

The coffee is nice and hot this morning and the sweet roll is delicious.

We had a very nice time last night up in the foothills with Jeanne and Angelica, and they prepared a dinner that was to die for. We also played a few hands of bridge and this time Jeanne and I won big time. As I was in the bathroom washing my hands after dinner, they pulled a fast one on me that caught me by surprise. I came out of the bathroom and there at the table were balloons, a birthday cake with candles and gifts. I was totally surprised let me tell you. They were really kicked my birthday off in style and Elise was in on the whole thing. Wow, what an evening.

We took a few photos and they are posted above. They had me blushing big time with one of the gifts that they insisted that I model and I did sort of as you can see. I want to thank everyone for the cards, ecards, gifts. Thank you for making my day a very memorable one. Elise got me a very nice bouquet of roses and she is taking me out to dinner tonight to Pinnacle Peak and that is always a treat. Can you say Big Cowboy Steak? I can and I will.

Well, I had better get back to caring for Chris. Rosemary will be caring for Chris this afternoon and this evening. Have a great day and enjoy, I am totally.

Later...............

Good Morning Jeanne.

Music listening to: Love TKO by Teddy Pendergrass

It's Hump Day, so have a good one. I started the day off at 5:45am caring for Chris. Elise is counting Gila monsters this morning but she will be snapping to real soon. I got a very nice surprise this morning. I have a dozen red roses sitting on the dining room table with a card on it addressed to me and a certificate for a tattoo that never expires.

It is from Elise for my birthday which is tomorrow, what a way to start the day. Elise is very good to me, and I am blessed to have her as my spouse, companion and my best friend. Thank You!!! I celebrated my 21st b-day last year and this year I am 20 years old. I count backwards don't you know, I may have to start going back to school soon, smile.

We have a lot of things planned for the rest of the week and weekend. To start it off we are going to visit Jeanne and Angelica in the foothills for dinner tonight and I am sure that we are going to play a few hands of bridge. I have to run a few errands this morning while Kecia is here caring for Chris. Rosemary will be caring for Chris this evening while we are at Jeanne's.

Any plans for this Hump Day? Well, I had better get another cup of coffee and get this day rolling along. Have a good one.

Good Night

Good Night

It has been a very good day today. How about yours? I got a few more tee shirt orders out today and we helped Rosemary move some furniture today. The day has been a bit warm today and now I believe we are in need of some rain.

Elise and I played horseshoes on Wii and Chris had a good time laughing at us. I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is at her book club meeting. I am sure that she will bring me back some good Chinese food, can you say hot and sour soup, sweet and sour pork, hmmmm, hmmm, good.

Well, I had better get the dogs feed and get back to work with Chris. Have a good evening and a good Hump Day tomorrow.

Cheers...............

Good Night Jeanne.

Tiger, Marcie and Jet, sleep well and get some rest.

Ross, you are on a roll today.

Breezy Tuesday!

Good Morning,

Mood: Dragging

Music listening to: You Can Feel It All Over by Stevie Wonder

How are you? I started the day off at 5:35am caring for Chris. Elise is up and out getting her workout in for today. It is a bit breezy this morning and the chimes are going at it.

I was awakened by a very large noise at about 1:00am this morning and I believe it was a car wreck on Pima Street not to far away. After the sound I heard many sirens going and then the dogs were in good form. I got up and I turned on the scanner to hear what was going on. It was confirmed that something has happened on Pima St. Next the sirens were going again and I heard on the scanner that they were transporting to University Medical Center. Well, it took me a while to get back to sleep and that is why I am dragging this morning.

The coffee is helping though, smile. We are going to help Rosemary move furniture today while Kecia is here caring for Chris. I am also filling more tee-shirt orders today as well. Well, I had better get back to Chris and get him settled for Kecia. Have a great day and be happy.

Later...............

Good Morning Jeanne.

Susie, what a surprise I got this morning when I checked my email. Thank you so very much for the great birthday cards for my upcoming day. I too wish you were here to celebrate with me. I am at a loss for words, you are a dear.

Tiger, Marcie, Jet,let's get this day rolling sisters.

Loraine, hey I got your comment on the blog but which Ray are we talking about?

Flo and John, have a good one.

Shirlene, thank you for checking out our tee line.

Good Night

Good Night,

Today has been a very good day for a Monday that is, smile. Chris and I rested and relaxed and we spent a lot of time outdoors in the 89 degree heat. I was all over the hammock and the dogs tried to join me.

I got my weeding work done and we will see how long that will last. Elise prepared a nice dinner this evening. We had soup, carrots, tomatoes, cottage cheese, bread and and Swiss cheese. A very good dinner.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is playing bridge at her Mum's. Tomorrow is going to be a back breaker. We are going to help Rosemary move some furniture into her new house. I may have to have a shot of Jack prior to getting started, smile.

Well, you have a good night and a better tomorrow.

Cheers................

Good Night Jeanne.

Loraine, you have a grand evening.

Tiger, Marcie, Jet, sleep well.

Beware It's Monday!

Music listening to: Can't Touch This by MC Hammer

How are you doing? I started the day off at 5:45am caring for Chris. Elise well you know Elise is counting sheep this morning but she will rolling along soon. Any plans for today? I have my sweet roll and cup of hot coffee next to me so I am doing OK so far.

We had a very relaxing day yesterday. We enjoyed our breakfast out with Mum at the Hungry Fox, and the food was very good. Later in the afternoon Elise and I played ping-pong out on the back patio and she kicked my bootie. 4 to 1, now that is a beat-down. We also played games on the Wii as well. We both surprised ourselves at how much better we have gotten at volleyball, horseshoes, and lawn darts. Wii is a lot of fun.

We had dinner with Mum at Furr's and the food was very good. It is one of Mum's favorite places to dine. Not fancy but the food is better than some places that cost so much more. Well,I had better get busy with Chris and later I will be doing some weeding in the cactus garden. Have a good day and a better tomorrow.

Later................

Good Morning Jeanne.

Marcie, Tiger, Jet, have a great Monday.

Sunday Morning

Good Morning

Mood: Happy

Music listening to: Cutie Pie

How are you? I started the day off at 5:45am getting Chris settled for the morning. Elise is caring for Chris this morning. Any plans for today? We are going to go out for breakfast with Mum this morning at the Hungry Fox or to Biscuits. Later in the evening Mum wants to take us out for dinner and that is always a treat for us.

Yesterday was a very nice day no worries no problems just a very good day. Elise, Chris and I went to a Celiac fair and it was crowded but they didn't have as good a variety of vendors there as compared to last years. We sample a few items and Elise purchased some bread to try. After that we went to Costco a chore that Elise really hates because it always way too many people there and trying to find a parking spot is a game of wits and strategy.

We returned home and we watched a DVD that was pretty good and we devoured popcorn while we watched with a couple of rum and cokes, Yes!! After Rosemary arrived we went to get another DVD to watch while we ate dinner. We had BLT's for dinner a favorite of ours and we downed that with a couple more Rum and Cokes, Yessssssssssss!! Am I slurring or what? So was Elise! Just kidding!

After the DVD was over Elise called it a night and she departed to read some. I continued to watch TV until Rosemary left for the night. I went over to check on Chris and to feed the dogs and then I followed suit. A pretty good day. Elise and I are going to play a few games of ping-pong this afternoon out in the backyard. Well, I had better get busy and get ready for breakfast. Can you say another cup of coffee please?

Later..................

Good Morning Jeanne.

Tiger, Marcie, Jet, wake up and get the day started, smile.

Ross, you guys have a good weekend and stay safe.

Flo and John great photos, thank you for sharing with us.

Shoo Shoo, have a good day and give our best to Ed. You are remarkable!!

I also want to thank everyone who commented about me sporting the H1N1 tee. I appreciate it very much and now my head has swollen up so that I may be turning into a pig, smile. Thank you!!

The photo above is of Q sporting her H1N1 tee. She stopped by to visit Chris for a short time yesterday.

Good Morning

Mood: Hanging In There!

Music listening to: Sitting In My Room by Brandi

How are you this fine Saturday morning? I started the day of at 5:50am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is caring for Chris this morning after she returns from swimming. Any plans for today?

Elise, Chris and I are going to a Celiac fair this morning to look at the new products that have come out since last years fair. Elise and I had a very nice dinner at the Outback last night. We were looking to get the steak and grill lobster but it was not available. Elise got a filet with a backed potato and I got the BBQ mixed grill that was pretty good with fries and cold slaw. We shared a bottle of the Little Boomey a cab.

We returned home and after Marv left I checked on Chris and we called it a night. Hey the coffee is good this morning and our cold spell seems to have moved on. I am going to plant some strawberries sometime today just to see what happens. Well, you have a good day and a great weekend.

Later..............

TGIF

Good Morning

Mood: Content

Music listening to: Riding With The King by BB King and Eric Clapton

TGIF!!! How are you doing this morning? I started the day off at 5:55am caring for Chris. Elise is calling all hogs but she will be up and about soon. I actually was awake at 2:10am this morning due to a dream that I had that was interesting to say the least.

I was awakened by the Good Witch of the Wizard of Oz, I am not kidding. She said that she had a surprise for me and she waved her wand and she disappeared. In her place was a crystal ball on a Wizard of Oz slot machine that we like to play. All of a sudden the screen went blank and then across the screen it read you are a big winner. Music and sounds began to play and it said congratulations you have won 200,000 credits. I thought to myself wow, this is great, then I woke up and I tossed and turned until I got up at 5:55am. Was the Good Witch telling me something? Smile!

Hey the coffee is good and I tried another sweet roll again this morning. We had a very nice dinner last night at Las Margaritas with Mum, Lois and Lee. We were disappointed that Toni didn't make because we haven't seen her in quite a while. Come to find out that she was not feeling well and she could not make it.

The food was good and I had the enchiladas, refried beans, a tostada and rice. Mum had tacos with rice and beans with a Miller's Lite in a frosted mug. She also had flan for dessert with coffee. I think Elise got tacos as well but I am not sure due to the two Margaritas that I had and so did Elise, smile. We returned home and we finished watching a DVD called "44 Inch Chest" it was very, very good. Elise decided to call it a night and I checked on Chris after Kecia left for the evening.

I have to run a couple of errands this morning before Elise's Marathon Bridge session kicks off. I have to get some tees sent out to people who have ordered them. I will also pick up one of the bridge players for Elise as well. Well, you have a great day and a better weekend. As promised here is a bit about out Las Vegas trip, enjoy...................

Later.............

Las Vegas or Bust 4-13-10

Our departure was delayed by a couple of hours due to the caregiver Kecia didn't show up on time due to having car trouble in the car she was riding in. She said that someone was coming to pick her up and we waited for two hours and then I called Rosemary to let her know that Kecia did not arrive so that meant she had to come in her place, since she was supposed to be taking care of Chris originally.

After Rosemary arrived we left and headed for Phoenix. We stopped at a Waffle House to have breakfast that was pretty good. Elise got eggs, hash browns and I got eggs, hash browns and 3 pork chops. Yes, I said three pork chops that I dutifully shared with Elise. We had plenty of coffee and the bill was only $16.87,not bad at all. We continued on our way Las Vegas and we listened to a book on CD called "Stones into Schools" by Greg Mortenson about building schools in Afghanistan.

We had to wait for about half an hour or so when we turned off of I-17 going to Wickenburg due to road work. It seems like we always have to wait for something when we go to Vegas. Our GPS was having fits for some reason telling us to go back and route recalculation. When we went though the Hoover Dam, we were impressed at how much they had done on the bridge since we were last there. It is very high and almost complete.

We arrived at Circus Circus at about 7:30pm. We chose this place to stay because we have never stayed there before and we liked it a lot. We got settled and we hit the casino. We were on the floor until 12:30am and then we returned to our room with $100.00 more than we left with. We spent $100.00 and won $210.00, pretty good and lot's of fun. We stopped in McDonalds for dinner, $18.00 and then we hit the casino floor again and downed the 4 free drinks, while we were playing. Mostly penny slots and nickel slots, but we did have a go at the quarter and dollar slots as well. Elise was beat so she returned to the room and I continued to play until my ticket ran out and then I called it a night.

4-14-10

We got up at around 8:30am. Elise watched In The Heat Of The Night on TV before she got up. We went to have breakfast at around 10:00am. Elise had oatmeal and I had eggs, potatoes, ham and cheese on toast. After breakfast we returned to our room to get ready to head to the Luxor to pick up our show tickets for this evening. We arrived at the Luxor at 3:45pm. We walked the strip most of the time and we stopped at the Excalibur to play a few slots. We also stopped at Bellagio to watch and listen to the fountain and water display. Absolutely wonderful and the music makes Elise glad to be alive and I concur with that. Before we left to get the tickets Elise we played a few slots and then Elise took lessons on how to play Roulette. She will try her luck at it tomorrow.

We went to the show called Menopause The Musical and it was very good and we had great seats. It was very funny and the music was great. Most of all I was glad that I was not the only guy watching it, smile. After the show we played a few slots in the Luxor and then we ate dinner there. Elise had the salmon an had a steak with mushrooms and I quickly gave those to Elise. I didn't like my potatoes because they were over-cooked. We also had a salad and dessert. Elise had a flourless chocolate cake and I had cheesecake. We both had had two glasses of red. The cost for the dinner was $131.00 with tip. After dinner we were stuffed so we took a cab back to Circus Circus for $20.00 with tip. Elise was very tired and she bought 3 tee-shirts and she called it a day and I played a few more slots before I called it quits.

4-15-10

We got up at 9:00am. We went to eat breakfast at the buffet ($22.00). Elise had eggs with cheese, tator tots, ham, bacon and stewed prunes and coffee. I had the same but I also got a blintz, sausage and corn beef hash and coffee. Then we played the slots and we lost $100.00. We played most of the afternoon and it was still fun. We got a couple of free drinks Elise had two Bloody Mary's and I stuck with Jack. We got some free chips and salsa and we headed to our room to play computer games on the laptop. We played on the laptop until 6:00pm. Then we decided to walk the strip and the weather was nice. We stopped at Bellagio to watch the waterfall show, it was excellent in the darkness. We continued to walk to strip on the opposite side of the street going back to our hotel.

We stopped in Bill's casino and we played a few slots for about 45 minutes on a one $20.00 bill. We took what was left of the $20.00 and we moved on to Harrah's, were I added $10.00 to what was left from the $20. Then we moved on to eh Flamingo and we spent the last of the $10.00 on the Wizard of Oz. Elise had put in about $2.00 of the $10.00 an she won the big win at least the what the machine showed on the screen. A total of $213.00 she won. We left the casino in jubilant spirits, we walked back to Circus Circus. We wanted to eat prime rib but every restaurant was closed so we stopped in McDonalds for dinner and we ate for $14.00. Elise said I was a cheap date!! We both had a cheeseburger with fries and Elise got a plain sundae. Very good day. We returned to our room to crash. We are leaving in the morning heading back to Tucson.

4-16-10

We were up at 8:50am and ready to go. We discovered that we still had a ticket to spend at the casino so we did and we played the Wizard of Oz with no luck but it was fun to play it. We checked out and we stopped in Kingman for breakfast that was very good. It was a very small place but the service was excellent. We arrived back in Tucson around 3:00pm. It was a very nice trip, because we love going to Vegas. It gets harder and harder to get back to normal after our trips I guess because we know that it is a fantasy and we have to get back to the real world. I wonder where we will be going next?

The photos are just a few that we took, not many this trip but Elvis is alive and well walking the streets in Vegas, thank you very much!

Ciao!

Ciao! Hey desert dwellers it is heating up. It is forecasted that we will get some rain this evening at around 5pm. Not counting on it. IF Y...
