Sale Is Over!

Arizona Saguaro Salute
What's up?

Well, Chris and I just closed up the car sale event for today. It did not go well but we had 14 cars and SUV's available for our customers.

We had a few lookers and a few people drove by slowly taking a quick gander at the cars. I am amazed with the turn out of cars. It is the most I have ever had to offer.

The problem today is that everyone is at the malls or getting ready for the 4th Avenue Street Fair that starts tomorrow. Also the local car dealers are offering $1000.00 gift cards and many other enticements that I cannot compete with.

The only person who stayed for any length of time was the wheelchair lady. Do you remember her? Well, she is still around and she decided to stop by this afternoon. She was looking at the cars and asked me to open up the Cadillac SUV for her to look at. So I went into the house and I lifted the keys from the bridge player without him even knowing that I did.

I went back outside and she was sitting next to Chris at our table. I looked at the table and I saw that my flask was open and on it's side. I picked it up and it was bone dry, yes bone dry. I looked at Chris and he looked at me. Chris immediately looked and pointed to the wheelchair lady. She looked at me and she bolted off in her chair laughing loudly and giving me a Arizona Salute as she rolled away. She has gotten me again. When will I learn, eh? She even turned on some Christmas lights that were on her chair when she bolted away. She is really full of cheer, yes my Jack Daniels.

I have been jacked again, but this is the last time she is going to get over on me. Chris and I are back inside now and I am having a shot of Sambuca to calm me down.
Later.......Jessie

TGIF!! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:40am caring for Chris. Elise is deep in her cave this morning, but I am sure that she will be up and about very soon. Any plans for today?

I am started off with computer problems this morning, nothing wants to load. I hope that I don't have this problem throughout the day. The coffee is good and while I am dealing with the computer problems I am enjoying leftover Chinese food for breakfast. Hey, it's good so don't hate! Smile!

We had a very nice dinner at Johnathan's Cork last night thanks to the big heart of Toni. She does this every year for Elise, Lee, Lois and I. The food was very, very good. Elise and I had a nice glass of Zinfandel with our meal, and Toni had a margarita.

Toni, ordered the roasted duck, Elise ordered Ostrich, Lee and Lois ordered the Salmon special, and I had baby back ribs and a cup of enchilada soup. We were stuffed to the gills. Elise, Lee,and I had coffee.

Toni insisted that we have dessert and we all declined. Toni insisted that I have dessert and she told the waiter to bring out the dessert menu. So I broke down and I had the Creme Brulee' and it was very good. It made Toni happy and that made me happy. She has a bit of a thing for me, don't you know? Smile! I have that effect on some women I have been told, big smile!

Elise is hosting a marathon bridge game this afternoon and I should have a good selection of cars for viewing. So  you stop on by and check them out. The bidders and shufflers won't mind unless I sell one and they have to catch the bus or take a cab home after the game. So I suggest that they bring the correct change for the  bus, just to be safe.

Elise will be singing this evening at the Tucson Botanical Gardens this evening with the Tucson Women's Chorus. I will be there to listen and I will taking a few photos as well. It should be a very good crowd. Marv will be here caring for Chris this evening. He may bring Chris to gardens to have a look around.

Well, I had better get to it. Have a great Friday and stay safe, healthy and happy. Be Blessed.
Later.......Jessie and Elise

Tiger, Marcie,Jet stay safe.

Loraine, behave.

Jane and John, wake up.

Shoo and Stu, have a good one.

Liz, it was good to hear from you.

Toni, thank you for a wonderful evening at Johnathan's Cork.

Elise and I will be going to the movies to see "Killing Me Softly" it has gotten some very good reviews and Elise can't wait to see Brad Pitt, go figure! Any who it should be a good movie.

Later in the evening we are meeting up with Lois, Lee, and Toni at Johnathan's Cork for our annual Christmas dinner that Toni treats us to. It should be a very nice evening. The Cork has some of the best food in the Old Pueblo.

Last nights performance at the Berger Center was outstanding. We saw the Sons of Orpheus and students from the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind, and Mariachi Sonido de Mexico perform. It was great! I have posted the flier of last nights performance within the blog. The Center was packed and the audience gave several well deserved standing ovations.

After the reception a few friends and family members all met up at the 555 restaurant for dinner. It was very nice and cozy, and we even had the fireplace crackling. The food was very good and the service was too!

I will post some of the pics that I took at the courthouse later today after I review them all. We departed Bisbee at about 6:45pm and we were on our way back to Tucson. We arrived in Tucson at 8:20pm and we said goodbye to Cathy who went along with us to Bisbee. I checked on Chris and Elise hit the sheets to read. I watched TV until John left for the night, and then it was game over for me.

We had a wonderful evening at John's birthday party. Marty always does it up right. The food was very good and the turnout was nice. I loved the meatballs and the small sandwiches, man were they good. If Elise had not kept an eye on me I would have monopolized the sandwiches because I had pulled up a chair at the serving table.

We played the slots and we left the casino with $140.00 more than what we started with. That is always a plus, don't you think? Even if we don't win it is very relaxing for me, and it is a change of scenery.
