Afternoon!

Hey how are you doing so far today? Things are going well and I am getting caught up on the many tasks that are on my  To Do List.

I am about to get Chris up so we can take a stroll in the hood. I got all of my tasks done that required me to get in the Fiat 500L Trekking. I have a lot of paperwork to get done though.

My stomach is starting to rumble a bit so I have to tend to that as well,smile! Well, here is a little bit about our first day in Miami at the Embassy Suites.

Frau Elise and I departed Tucson at around 7:30am on 19 Feb 17. We arrived in Dallas/Ft.Worth airport with a little time to grab something to eat before our connecting flight to Miami.

We arrived in Miami and we got our luggage and we got the Embassy Suites shuttle to the hotel. We checked in and our suite is very nice. We relaxed a bit and we had a couple of Jack and Cokes. You know that is how we always start a stay-cation or a vacation. It is Standard Operating Procedure for us. (SOP). Smile!

After our cocktails we headed to down to the lobby are for Happy Hour that was on presented by the Embassy Suites. We enjoyed gin and tonics, trail mix and that sort of fair. We enjoyed people watching while we got our drink on. We switched to whiskey and diet Pepsi. It was good and strong too! 

After Happy Hour we went back to our suite to set up things for tomorrows trip back to the airport to meet the cruise reps. We prepared our clothing choice for the next day as well. We hit the sheets because because we were going to get up for the complimentary breakfast to start our day. It was surprisingly very good. Wonderful omelettes. 

We checked out and jumped on the Embassy Suites shuttle back to the airport. We meet up with the reps and we had a short wait before the cruise bus arrived. We hopped on and we were on our way to the docks. It was a very short ride.

We checked in and we got our suite keys for for the ship. After a short wait we boarded the (Sky) and we waited on our luggage to be delivered and for our suite to be ready. We walked around the ship to see where everything was. We even grabbed some lunch in the Garden Buffet. We were informed that our suite was ready and we checked it out. It was very nice and we loved the balcony. We relaxed and waited for our departure to begin later in the evening. A good way to start a vacation off indeed.
